It's lighter than an 8 pound maul so I switch back and forth with it and my maul on long days.

best axe i have ever owned. you dont even need to swing it barely to cut a 4x4 down the middle.

By far without a doubt the best axe I have ever owned. I blows through wood as advertised. I have both the Fiskars maul and the axe. I use the maul for the big rounds and the axe to finish the job. Who needs a hydraulic log splitter :)

Excellent splitting axe ! The extra length really allows you to generate a lot of head speed.

Not the best but also not the worst

Only used the axe a couple of times so far. Every time, I have been amazed at how easily it splits logs, even for someone without a ton of splitting experience. There were some logs my old axe couldn't split, and the Fiskars split those without too much effort. The handle is grippy and ergonomic and does seem to dampen vibrations. I have been wearing gloves while using it. The axe came razor sharp and the sheath is great for storage. Highly recommend this axe!

It is good and sharp but expensive compare to other cheaper one. I think it worth the price.

This axe was purchased to replace my original due to a building fire. I've used these axes for years and find them outstanding hence purchasing another. They have a lifetime warranty and are made in Finland which is a big plus for me as I try not to purchase Chinese made items. I find the axe to be much easier to wield versus a splitting maul which is another bonus especially for a man in his late sixties that still splits wood by hand.

Great product highly recommend very sharp ready to use

I bought this after reviewing several recommendations from log splitters. I thought if it’s goo for them then I’ll give it a shot. I had to get used to the longer throw compared to my old axe but once I did it’s a pleasure to use. I have a lot of pine logs with a lot of knots and this axe does pretty well. I’ve split about one hundred logs and the blade it as sharp as new and no dents or chips. It’s been a great axe for me.

Very happy with it so far. I’m using it to “finish off” some Rounds that I’ve been cutting with a corded electric chainsaw into liftable pieces to be split at a later time.
