The shelving is surprisingly sturdy and durable. Most important for me the instructions were crystal clear and all the parts were labeled making installation simple. I should point out that, because of the shelf width, the door in the new open position is approx 9 inches further from the old door stop. While this does not really interfere with entering or leaving the room it may impede moving furniture. For this reason I decided not to install one of the shelve sets. Overall I am very pleased with this product

Glad I got this shelf
Great addition to my tiny studio kitchen. Made good use of wasted space behind the door. The shelf was sturdier than I had anticipated. Easy to follow instructions. Assembly took me about an hour. I did put a drop of wood glue on the dowels that hold it together. Fast and free home delivery. Thank you Home Depot!

Poorly made and difficult to assemble
If you have ever put together premanufactured shelving, you are probably familiar with cam locks. This unit is assembled in two halves, which you must stack and secure with cam locks. I think the holes for the cam locks were not drilled close enough together, because I could not get the cam bolts to pull together at both ends. The circular cam connectors are cheaply made and break easily. I bought replacement cam connectors (which are sold in packs of four, but you need six). I ended up improvising by installing brackets to hold the two halves together. The kit comes with two wooden pieces called "stretchers" which stand perpendicular to two of the shelves in order to secure the stability of the frame, and I think it would have helped if they had been placed where they could help secure the top half to the bottom half. Be forewarned that you will have to drill six holes in your wall in order to anchor the shelving unit and keep it from falling over. There is no bottom shelf, and the leg at the narrow end is only 2" wide You won't be able to move this bookshelf without removing the anchor screws and patching the holes. The adjustable shelf also fits poorly; it should have been longer with less "wiggle room" at the ends.

Great use of space
This bookcase is amazing. It fits securely behind our front door with ample room to open the door. You can anchor it to the wall and it has more than enough shelves. Sturdy, well designed and doesn't look like most particle board bookcases. It has a matte finish and it looks nice. We have a small apartment and wanted to make our space functional. This bookcase does the trick!

Good idea.
Fits behind door fine. Kind of a pain to put together. Instructions not very clear.
Did not know it needed to be attached to the wall until it was all put together. Not sure I would have bought it if I would have known that. I don't like putting holes in our walls. And it does need to be secured to wall.
Kind of expensive for what it is.

Sturdy, versatile, fits any door perfectly.
Can't complain at all. Assembly was a little lengthy, but easy to follow if you've ever put something together before.

Product was Reversed
The product was great overall. The only problem was it was reversed from the photo on the ad. I could not use it behind the door I wanted to. Construction was good, but you need 2 people to put it together.

Fits well behind the door. Specs listed are accurate.
Very sturdy and easy to assemble. Do not over-tighten shelf screws as it will split the corner edge of the shelf.
Good value purchase.

Great extra storage
This item was rather easy to assemble. I have put together quite a few pieces of RTA furniture together before (IKEA). This item took me about 25 minutes to assemble then maybe 10 minutes to attach to the wall. This item had large screws that tightened down nicely. I like how it attaches to the wall and it feels very secure. I'm very happy with the quality and function of this shelf.
