[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great addition to our garage. My garage is about 600 square feet, and this portable heat pump works perfectly. It really does what it claims it will. It takes my garage from 50 degrees to 70 degrees in no time at all. I'm glad that I bought this item and gave it a chance.

Hooked it up as instructions stated. Removed cap and rubber stopper from heat pump drain and installed tube. 3 days later water was all over floor. Removed drain tube and noticed that nothing had been flowing out. Instead it leaked internally into the AC condensation tank which eventually overflowed onto floor. Called Frigidaire and was told to cut chord and send pic. 7 days later a gift card shows up for what paid for (not including taxes paid). Bought another 1 thinking I got a lemon. Hooked it up same problem... To avoid the hastle ran drain tube from AC condensation tank through wall and works fine. Heats/Cools well but would be nice if works as supposed to

**The DOE listed is a lie. The DOE rating on this unit is only 8,000 BTU**, even though it expressly says 13,000 BTU on Home Depot. I was skeptical before purchasing - I even checked the Frigidaire website but their listing was also vague. This unit was delivered this morning and I immediately saw on the box the correct DOE. I would not recommend this product unless you are aware and okay with getting only 8,000 BTU DOE. I'm pretty frustrated but I will try it out and update my review later. I hope the 180-day return policy isn't also a lie....

Great air conditioner

Easy to hook up and the remote is a plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have the need to heat or cool only one room, this is an excellent choice and a very cost-effective alternative to a mini-split system and less obtrusive than a window-installed air conditioner. Its footprint is pretty small and it has a very strong fan that is remarkably quiet. My only disappointment is that its thermostat, at least in heat mode in the winter, doesn't seem to work very well, possibly because the unit needs to be installed near an exterior wall so doesn't monitor the general room temperature.

I am very happy with the portable A/C w/heat pump. It is perfect for my 3-season porch and allows me to enjoy it all year round.

The unit it quieter compared to others we tried out, and not too heavy to love. It came with everything we needed to set up and great directions. I highly recommend this unit.

Haven't tried the heat yet as it is still hot in my area, but I'm sure it will work good too. Wish I had purchased it sooner. Would highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very happy with the operation of the product, cools our bedroom nicely, but we do find the sleep mode quite noisy when the compressor kicks on. We have tried the low fan and find that quieter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before this unit, I bought a Pelonis that was so loud and switched modes so often it kept me up all night. I returned that unit and am so glad I bought this one. I am a super light sleeper and this is very quiet. Even on high, it basically sounds like a white noise machine. It doesn't switch modes often and when it does, it still doesn't wake me up. I would recommend this to anyone who is a light sleeper and planning to use this in their bedroom.

I have to keep emptying the unit through the bottom drain at LEAST once a day and it's a real pain in the butt. I am completely disappointed in this air conditioner even though it works well. It's not worth the trouble. I'm going to sell it next year and buy something better.

It is a little louder than desired but compared to our neighbors units it is quieter,,, until this winter, we don’t know how well it will heat the room, but so far, so good. Would have rated it five stars if the sound levels were better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a lot of experience with portable a/c units: I've had two of them for 15 years. The Frigidaire is smaller than the one it replaced and also quieter. It is doing a fine job in a very difficult room (14' ceiling). It almost looks like modern furniture rather than an appliance. I'm happy with it and, when that other old one goes, I will probably buy another. Of course, nothing is perfect: The 'window kit' requires a little fussing to make it sit right; it's not rocket science but everybody's windows are a little different. The air louvers go up-and-down instead of side-to-side, which isn't a problem but it's a little weird. Lastly, the instructions are not real clear about exactly when and how the water drains out (...it comes with two hoses and has three drains but I ended up using only one of each).
