Coldest-Not Cold
Worked for 3 months then didn’t work well after a filter check. Not even 250 hours and the checking the filter caused it to not work the same ever again! Really stink that after the winter it still was the same next season!

Hello Robl. This is a strange occurrence, as the washed filter should not have this kind of affect on the performance. We are interested to learn more about the change in performance specifically and to work on a resolution. At your next opportunity, please join us on live chat on our website or call us at 800-374-4432 M-F, 8:30 am-8:00 pm EST so we can start this process. Kindly, Anna Frigidaire

Product is working way better than expected. It was bought for my Woodshop, actually a 8'X12' shed in the back yard, in the hot summer Florida sun, but partially under an oak tree. And the place is COOL and COMFORTABLE. Yeah!!

I bought it in May 2018 for my bedroom, after my ancient central air unit conked out. So far so good. It cools down my bedroom nicely, here in the 90+ degree Florida heat. The small master bath also cools down well if I leave the door open. The window kit was a bit problematical, but nothing duct tape couldn't solve. Remains to be seen what it will do to my electric bill, but it doesn't use the 220 circuit so it can't be any worse than a rickety, inefficient 40-year-old central air unit. So far, I'm very pleased.

So far so good. For me personally, it is too loud for sleeping while the compressor is on at 55 decibels and between 47-51 decibels with just the fan in various speeds. Some call it white noise, I call it a brisk wind or similar to flying at 35,000 ft in an airliner. It cools well enough and the features are nice. I would have liked a back lit remote though. Difficult to see at night without a light. I do have to figure out why once the compressor shuts down after the achieved temp is reached, why the fan doesn’t shut off eventually? I vented it out an exterior wall vs. window kit as this is a permanent install for that particular room and will not be moved around the house. Besides, I like to be able to use my windows without having to disassemble the window exhaust kit each time.

Setting up this unit was easy. The temperatures that we were very Torrid but as long as you follow the guidelines for the amount of space that it will cool the unit performed admirably. Also of note the unit is very quiet. I've had it a little over a month and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Mid size- Light weight compared to other similair units. Easy to move. Like the that fact that the air blow from the top and vents closed when not running. Gets very cold. I did placed 6" insulation around the hose to keep heat from hose leaking out.

Just so-so.... NOW I know why a portable air conditioner is called "portable". The only way for any cool air to reach any other room in the apartment (besides the one you're in) is to move it from room to room. The cool air does not flow into other rooms like my old window air conditioner did (which cooled the WHOLE apartment BTW!). Sooo disappointing!!! Does a pretty mediocre job even cooling the room that it's in. Note: I had no choice but to buy a portable AC as the updated apartment policy nixed window air conditioners this year. How I will miss it. Also, what really upsets me is that I have no way to absolutely secure the window after it's installed especially at night while I'm at work (to avoid break-ins as I'm on the ground-level) so I am unable to keep even one room cool while I'm away & have to come home to a hot apartment. It's a fire drill just to load it in the window, taking it out...repeat. Unfortunately mostly just sits in the corner of the storage room (because it's unsightly sitting in the living room) until the it gets so hot that I absolutely have to bring it out & use it. Pretty ridiculous. I AM disappointed that this does not suit my needs.

Hello, CB! I hate to hear that you are not satisfied with your purchase. This model is designed to work for a space that is up to 350 square feet or a room that is 14'x25'. Please make sure it is set to cool mode instead of fan or eco mode for optimal cooling performance. If you need additional assistance, feel free to contact us directly. ~ Brandi Frigidaire

We purchase this portable AC for our 350 sq.ft. room a few weeks ago. In overall it's OK. Here are brief pros and cons. Pros: - self evaporating function - swinging vents back and forth - ergonomic remote control - cools well small rooms less than 350 sq. ft. Cons: - screwing the tube to the AC was not clockwise as it was instructed in the manual that comes with AC . After some frustrations we were able to screw the tube (both ends) counterclockwise. - also the instruction doesn't give some other important details. - noise is a bit loud, for a while it's ok, but then you get tired of it and have to stop for some time. - It doesn't stop working even at the economy mode. - cools our 350 sq.ft. room fast enough IF the entrance is covered with a plastic door. We have a video on youtube: https://youtu.be/JdOF7W9qmVg

This thing is advertised to cool "up to 450sqft" with only 10,000BTU. I should have known better considering that goes against the standard measurement for BTUs. I thought perhaps Frigidaire had come up with some way to make their units more energy efficient, but I thought wrong! Like most others on here mention, this thing does *NOT* come close to cooling its advertised area. A normal 10,000BTU unit would be good to cool a 250-300sqft room and this one is no different and perhaps a little worse. I have a 320sqft bonus room above the garage and this runs ALL THE TIME...even when using "Eco Mode". Its thermostat also seems to be poorly designed as it seems to measure the air directly BEHIND the unit near where the exhaust is. This means, when the room is 75 degrees, and this unit is set at 78 degrees, the unit runs constantly unless the desired temp is bumped up to 80+ degrees. That could be due to the poor quality exhaust hose having multiple tears in it, because it is so flimsy and cheap, causing hot air to leak out the back of the unit. I only have it stretched to 3ft, when it's max is 5ft, and yet there are tears in the thin plastic. It's also a very loose connection to both the unit and the window. In short, I do not know how Frigidaire gets away with advertising this unit for 450sqft. That is most definitely false advertising used to get people to buy their unit over the competition...it worked on me until I got it home, hooked it up, and learned they were full of it. What math are they using? It's going back to the store in exchange for an LG brand.

a little loud when it kicks on. also the hose connection and window slider were a little cumbersome in my opinion. other than that it keeps the room cold (pretty small room to be honest) and I thought the price was fair. quite heavy though so I would suggest having someone help you move it

Cooled our 250 square foot master bedroom down in an hour. Its easy to use and I would have given in 5 stars, but the installation instructions that came with it were a joke. We have new windows and the window attachment didn’t work at all. So we had to make a new one. But over all it does the job

          Great for bedroom
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this about six weeks ago, but didn’t hook up until it really got hot. It does a great job in my master bedroom. Have another air conditioner in my living, kitchen dining area, but it doesn’t cool my bedroom. My only complaint is the window adapter isn’t a straight piece and makes it necessary to use extra foam for a good seal

This AC is very well designed. Very happy with this product. One comment is that needs understood is the fact that the AC exhaust cool air in room to outside. So warm air has to enter home to be recooled then exhausted to outside. Might be less efficient but worth it. Plus side, fresh air in.

Easy to assemble,I recommend putting insulation tape around the exhaust hose makes the unit much more efficient. Cools a small room pretty well the unit is a little loud even in eco mode. On a 98 degree humid day this unit keep my room cold worth every penny. One note if you are going to use the dehumidifier you will have to hook up a hose for continuous drainage.
