defective dehumidifer
this dehumidifier only lasts a few months then the EC code appears. call customer service they just give you the runaround. these units should be recalled and a class action suit filed against fridigaire. these units are defective. fridigaire have hundreds of complaints and take no action.

    Unfortunately, this did not work for us. Overflowed instead of automatically turning off when full. Then tried draining to the the outside with a fridgidaire drain hose, also did not work. Called fridgidaire and was basically told nothing of any help. Might be great for some but did not work for us.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been a few weeks now and this unit has effortlessly kepy my very damp basement dry. Possibly a touch quieter than the similar unit it replaced, which lasted only three years. Having read the numerous reviews of quick product failures, I purchased a long term serice contract. We will see. For the first few weeks, it has performed up to 5 star level. I have to admit I am fully expecting to be disappointed by quick product failure and problems with getting the issue addressed - based only upon the numerous reviews I have read reporting such issues.

It was very easy to set up using the internal pump and a hose going into my sump pump. It is very quiet, and the basement feels very dry, so I'm very pleased! What else can I say? It was easy to set up, it works well, it purifies the air, and it's quiet! It is also very nice looking!

            [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just replaced a 5 year old Frigidaire dehumidifier that actually started giving out a few years ago. I've gotten more moisture out of the air in the first day with new unit than in the past year with the older unit. It's very quiet and really moves a lot of air. I'm concerned about the longevity of this unit - not because of the brand, just because these things never seem to last more than a few years. we'll see. One minor complaint: when it fills up, it's filled right to the very top. Hard to remove the bucket without spilling water. Otherwise, happy so far, though.

We are very happy that this unit, along with our central air conditioning system, is doing a great job to regulate the overall humidity level and helping us actually run the central air a lot less than in the past.

                Not what Frigidaire used to be. It sucks.
                New unit set with auto drain hose. After a month, I realized it was not dehumidifying. Called customer service, and they said they would replace it. It has been 2 months, and I have been getting the run-around the entire time. They keep coming up with excuses for the delay, once I finally got someone to talk to me. I have an old Frigidaire that works fine, but this new unit is not quality built. Search Frigidaire customer service reviews, and you see how bad it is.

                  Our basement was smelly and damp. The dehumidifier has Removed the smell. It is easy to set up. We haven't been able to use the continuous feature yet. It is a pain emptying.

It was bought to replace a 20+ year old whirlpool dehumidifier which suddenly gave up. It was easy to set up, runs quietly, and does an excellent job at dehumidifying and removing the musty smell.not to mention that it looks good too. I highly recommend it.

                              This might be the biggest piece of junk i have ever purchased. It worked perfectly for about 3 months then stopped. I contacted Frigidaire/Electrolux at least 10x and every time they promised to send a replacement. Only after I notified the Ohio Attorney General's office and they got involved did anything different happen. Today I received a refund of the purchase price, fully 8 months after I first complained.

I have replaced my dehumidifiers every two years for the last 15 years it is tedious and disappointing. This particular dehumidifier. I just bought yesterday. I set it up with its pump and humidity in my basement went from 69% down to 50% humidity,in less than six hours . I was very pleased. I hope I can get more than two years out of this Frigidaire. It is my first time using a Frigidaire dehumidifier so far so good I will remain hopeful …..time will tell.
