The four small screws provided for attaching Part E to Part F in Step 9.1 of the assembly instructions were *too small* to actually fasten the parts together. When I inserted the screws in the holes, the external thread did not make tight contact with the internal threads. The screws just dropped right into the holes without engaging. (To make things even more annoying, there is an obvious typo in the instructions for 9.1 which has a missing word in the sentence reading "Use the four small screws from, as shown.") If I could get correctly sized replacement screws or at least learn what size screws I need to purchase, I would potentially be much happier with this product.

Satisfied with lamp but post is unsatisfactory. Since it comes in pieces and is made of plastic, it will not stand straight as a regular pole would.

      Fabulous Light
The lamp exceeded my expectations. For the price I thought it would be just a good product. So far it has been perfect. Easy to install and works like it should.

      EZ-Anchor is a Joke!
Weigh distribution is not even from top to bottom, cheap PVC, stake and anchor base is a joke, this should be all metal and add an extra foot to the stake for stronger ground penetration and support. No weather proof around the LED lamp. NOW HAVE TO DISASSEMBLE AND RETURN, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME, HAVE TO DO MORE RESEARCH ON HOMEDEPOT PRODUCTS FOR NOW ON!!!!

      Great product
This light works exactly as advertised. It was easy to install and the leveling feature was really cool. I haven't really monitored how long the light stays lit based on the solar exposure, but every time I look outside at night, I see it lit up and it makes me smile! The fact that you can have a light at the end of your driveway without having to run wires through your lawn (at such a reasonable price) is amazing. If it had more of a solid metal feel to it, I would give it 5 stars, but it is nice looking for the price.

        Great product
No regrets with ordering this product. I love it! It's bright but doesn't throw the light very far away from the lamp post, which is what I wanted.

        Pleased with the look!
At first I was totally disappointed with this light, I got it into the ground in cement and found out the light did not work. I called Home Depot and they sent me a new light ( of course I had to purchase that one as well). Once the new one arrived I put the new lamp on the post and waited 3 days, it still did not work. In order to not have to purchase another lamp I called the company. I was told they had a bad batch of batteries and they would send me a knew one. Within a week I had the new battery and installed it. It worked!! If I do this again I will be smart and test the light before I cement it into the ground. I am not sure how sturdy it will be this Winter and if it will with stand the cold and wind. Time will tell it is now almost November.

        Great Product
Easy to install............. we piled rocks on base. I added the extra battery (easy) because we live in sunny Seattle! Will add 3 0 SS 0.041 guide wires (Harbor Freight) to add stability for stormy times. Pole doesn't flex ; it's the base! Not a big dea! just being a conservative Engineer who lives next to Puget Sound! Very pleased with product so far..........................looks great next to mail box

        The light does not work!
I assembled everything by the book, let the light stand in full sun for two days and it will not charge. I have ordered the optional battery to see if that will make it work, otherwise I will be sending it back.

        UPDATED REVIEW
In a previous review, I noted that our light didn't work. I contacted the company and they responded immediately and sent out a new battery. I also had concerns about installing the battery as it looked like it might have been hard-wired. We received the new battery in just a couple of days and when I took apart the lamp to install the battery, I discovered a connector deeper inside the top of the lamp that made changing the battery a snap. The light began working immediately after installing the new battery. We are very happy with the lamp and the Gama Sonic company.

Doesn't work - am waiting for a replacement battery!
Though not necessary in the instructions, we cemented in the auger in the ground for added stability, but there is still some side to side movement of the pole and we are wondering what will happen in a strong breeze. However, imagine our disappointment when the light failed to work after several days in the sunlight! We have contacted the manufacturer and they are sending us a replacement battery. I'm hoping that will resolve the problem. However, I'm concerned about how easy it's going to be to install the replacement battery as it appears the battery is hard-wired. When I e-mailed Gama Sonic about the problem, I received an answer right away with the promise of them sending out the replacement battery. I so hope that resolves the problem. Once I get the battery and get it installed, I will update my review.

Easy to install, adds a nice finishing touch to the front yard.
This product allowed me to install a light post in my front yard exactly where I wanted it, without running any wires. The ground in my front yard is rocks and hard clay, and it's very difficult to dig a path for cables, so I was excited to find a much easier solution with this lamp post. At first I was worried the light output would be dim, but it is actually bright enough for my needs, and it stays lit throughout the night. It is evident that solar and LED lighting has improved a lot since the first solar powered lights came out. I am very happy with how easy it was to install this, and everyone who has noticed the new addition to our yard loves the way it looks. It adds a nice finishing touch to our front yard.

Liked the light but it did not work
Seemed like a nice light, but did not work. Purchased a second one thinking it was just one bad light, new one did not work either. Was very disappointed.

        Worst Customer service ever!
We purchased three of these for over $400.00. We installed them and they looked great. They're plastic, but they still looked great. We read the reviews first and took everyone's advice to let them charge for 2-3 days before actually turning them on. They have never worked. Not even for a minute. I contacted Gamma Sonic to find out if we had done anything wrong or if we just needed some new batteries sent to us. Four phone calls later (and I gave it few days between each one), I have never received even one attempt at a call back. The thing is, I'm not being nasty or unhappy - I just need some new batteries! The lights are beautiful - I just want them to actually turn on. Anyway - if you buy them don't install them right away - check and see if they work first, because once they're installed, you're trapped and you will never receive any assistance whatsoever. Uninstalled you can just return them.

        Not so sure!
I read through all the reviews and I agree with most everything said. However, I installed my lights Friday afternoon, and when the lights didn't come on, I figured it needed more daylight time to charge the battery! It is now Monday night and still No Light! I have it set on Summertime! Is there another on/off switch that I am missing! Very disappointed!

plastic post is what it is
Bought this item for ease of installation that being no hole to dig and no mixing of concrete. Installation and assembly were a breeze. Being sure the post was plumb I stepped back and liked what I saw, however the next morning after retrieving the morning paper I looked over to the light and noticed it was bowed. At first I thought maybe something was wrong with the base, thinking maybe it had shifted. After removing the post, I noticed the post was still plumb and reinstalled the post. Later that evening the post was bowed in the other direction. Plastic is plastic, I returned the item to HD. The solar light itself was emitting a fair amount of light but the post was unacceptable so save yourself some trouble, buy the aluminum post for $40 (Hampton Bay) and just the light separately for $80 and a bag of premix concrete and enjoy a nice solar lamp and metal post .

        Its ok....
This post was easy to install and assemble. The multi-tiers simply screw together. You can put the base in two ways. Since mine is in the grass, i choose the screw into the ground one. It has a bubble in the base for easy leveling and the tool to screw it in. I did notice that what appears to be because of its height, it seems to tilt slightly to one side. Not to noticeable tho. I do live in a reigon where it gets very hot in the summer, so it is going to be interesting to see what happens this summer as far as hold up, since this is made of a thick plastic. it was over all easy to assemble.

        Terrific Energy Saver !
This light and post is the perfect solution for providing illumination when no electric is available. I wanted a light in my yard, but there was no electric connection and it would have required about 100 ft of digging and burying wire to provide a connection. I had just about given up the possibility of having a bright light in that spot until I saw this lamp / post combination, At first, I was hesitant because both the lamp and post are made of resin. However, it is constructed of a very high grade materal and doesn't look or feel cheap at all ! And since it is not metal, it is rust- proof, and maintenance free. The only thing not included in the box for assembly and installation is a phillips screw driver. Assembly of the lamp is very easy, and there is a winter and summer setting which regulates brightness. I installed the post in my yard using the provided auger and turning bar which was surprisingly easy. The hardest part of the installation was making sure the post was perfectly straight, which was easy with the assistance of a helper. I installed the light on a partly cloudy day, so I really did not expect the light to turn on at all. I was pleasantly surprised when it did turn on at dusk, however by midnight it was no longer bright. The next day was sunny enabling the light to fully charge, and the light was still shining brightly at 5 AM the next day ! I am very happy with this lamp and post. It looks terrific in my yard, provides the needed illumination and does not impact my already too high electric bill !

        Nice resin lamp
Setup was super easy, no tools was needed. Love the included auger on the base so you know that the lamp is standing straight on top of the dirt. Love the solar panels on all four sides of the lamp so it will get enough sun no matter which direction the sun comes from. The lamp is made of resin and is very light. Will see how long it lasts outdoors. This is the second solar post lamp I own and I wish it is brighter. I also wish the ON switch is on the outside so I don't have to unscrew the lamp to change the settings.

        Other reviewers WAY to generous
The other reviewers are being WAY too generous. The plastic is cheap and brittle... no exaggeration, it broke during install. The arms broke off (the threaded piece completely snapped) and is unrepairable. The design isn't bad, but the materials are. Very very very cheap stiff plastic. The base is impossible to get perfectly level, which causes the lantern to "lean" slightly. Mine is installed with the built in bubble level showing level... but has a noticable tilt of about 2"-3: off center. The base is painfully undersized and underdesigned. It only goes a few inches into the soil, 10" maybe 12". That's not enough to provide support for 6 feet of post and lantern and it ends up swaying in the wind with even a light breeze. Credit where it's due... the solar charger works great. It took a few days to build up the initial charge but after that it has enough juice to run even after a snowy overcast day. The light output is ok, not amazing. It throws light about 8 feet from the lantern. At the end of a country driveway it almost looks comically undersized. This would probably work best on a short 15 foot suburban driveway. Light color is very blue/white. Would have preferred that they use yellow LEDs - those look better outdoors.

We are sorry that the quality of this Gama Sonic product was so disappointing. We don’t like letting customers down and want to support you and to learn from your experience to make things right. First, if you have not returned the unit, it is covered by a two-year warranty, so we’d be happy to send replacement parts for anything that either is broken or seems defective. Second, even though we probably will request that you send the faulty parts back, could you e-mail support@gamasonic.com some photos that show everything that’s broken or shoddy? We will pass them on to our design and engineering team immediately to see if there are any issues they can address in the product design or manufacturing process to eliminate the types of problems you encountered. Thanks, once again, for your forthright feedback. We hope you give us a chance to do better."
