The quality of the lamp was great with the added extra touches like the beveled glass and the all metal frame making it an excellent replacement for the old gas lamp that was previously installed. Very easy to install and the light worked just right

The place the post is set is pretty shady but I still get several hours of good light

These lights are great! Made of metal....not cheap plastic like the first ones I bought. They put out a good amount of light too even on the lower setting. I highly recommend them!

These lights are replacing electric lights. We were used to the electric ones being bright. We bought these because we would have had to have a new electric line run under the ground a long distance. It would have been very costly. These lights are very attractive, but the light output is pretty short. They serve a purpose, but just not extremely happy with them. I'm sure they do what they are supposed to do.

This lamp looks great at night. It charges even in dim sunlight, now in October in Colorado.

Other than Home Depot jacking the price up just before the recent holiday weekend the item is fine. It was packed very well, easy to install and has been working fine for the past week. (For a Solar Lamp the workmanship is very good.

I am very pleased with my Purchase. Even with the low setting it has more than enough light for my yard. The quality seems excellent.

I hate reviewing something a week after you purchase it. If it breaks down a month later, it wasn't worth it. But so far, we love our new Gama Sonic lights. We have brick columns at the end of our driveway. The old wired lights failed and the wiring was having issues. We tried a cheaper set of solar lights but they had an unattractive light color and they didn't last but a few months. We went ahead and gambled on buying something more expensive hoping we'd get what we paid for. So far, we have. The lights have been great and they look awesome both in the daylight and at night. We got two bases from Home Depot and I bolted them down to the brick. If its not a dark, grey, cloudy day, they stay on all night long on the normal setting. I tried the brighter setting but the normal setting was so good, no need to go brighter. I'd definitely recommend these lights. Hopefully they'll last for a few years.

The battery in the lamp doesn't last more than 3 hours before the light starts to go dim. And that's on the lower setting which is not very bright to begin with. I thought I found a way around having to bring wires to the lamp. As the saying goes: If it sounds too good to be true, etc., etc.

Minor assembly required, but easy. Working as claimed, stays on all night until dawn.

Opened 1 of 4 and it was charged so let it run for one overnight and it ran for more than 10 hours. Good casing and size is perfect. I cannot wait to install it. I am only skeptical about its life. Hope that it will last at least 5 years.

I was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful solar light. From the time it gets dark, it goes on, as bright as ever, and it's not even on the highest setting, and it's still on at 5am..The best investment I ever made. and the best part was I didn't have to have my lawn dug up for underground wiring. You will not be sorry buying this light. You are saving on energy, and no high electric bills and it gives you security.. I have had this light for about a month now, and it has not disappointed me at all..Gama sonic made a great product.

This product has two major flaws 1. At the high setting it does not produce enough light to cover a a small step less than five feet from the post it sits on. 2. The lamp sits in full sun it produces full light for two hours limited light for two hours at the the four hour mark it is off. On a cloudy day it does not last two hours. This is in late May. This lamp will be completely useless during fall and winter when the amount of daylight even on a sunny day is limited Needless to say I am returning the lamp.

Replacing my gas lamp with this one. It was easy to install - 10 minutes - and it stays lit from dusk to dawn on the economy setting. Bright from the street and overall a good looking lamp.

Product was incorrect for the job and had to be returned. I need a flat flange base to install on a concrete pillar. Contractor returned to local Home Depo. and when I tried to order product was out of stock and now I cannot reorder.

Haven't yet installed permanently. I've set up just the lantern in area that gets decent amount of sun but not full day. I want to make sure it will last before installing permanently. So far working as advertised. Comes on bright at dusk and stays lit fairly bright until at least midnight. With shorter, cloudier days light becomes dimmer earlier. With bright sunlit days it stays bright longer even up to 4 am. (Outdoor temp mid 30's - mid 60's with frequent rain.) A big improvement in this metal model is the light is an actual bulb you screw in, and it is easily replaceable. I couldn't inspect much else inside this metal lamp as screws are too soft and too tightly installed. (We tried 4 different sized phillips heads.) I could not open the battery housing, but batteries are supposedly replaceable.The mounting hardware appears adequate. The metal post screws together fairly easily and appears seamless. The panes appear to be glass. There were no bugs, cocoons, rust or dirt inside lantern despite being outdoors for weeks. It is heavier, prettier and except for the screws better designed with that replaceable bulb. The lamp may be eco friendly, manufacturer's packaging is not.

Can't begin to say how excited I was to find this line of solar light posts! We're in transition on landscaping and I didn't want to run electrical for posts, only to have to move them later on. These lights are super-classy looking and a perfect match for our style. They provide great light at night and look amazing in the daylight . This seems to be really well made and I have no doubt we'll get years of use out of these, even in our harsh weather conditions! I love that they come on at night so that there is a light in the yard when I head home after dark, which is most of the time in our northern US location. This one will be mounted on a post set in concrete in the spring, but it's temporarily mounted on a rock wall in the meantime. I would like to see a companion post offered, but I'm sure we'll work something out just fine.

This is a fairly large post light, and visually it looks good even as a solo light in front of a house. The direct light from the bulb has some glare due to the direct outward facing LEDs. The color temperature is very warm, similar to an incandescent bulb. There are two light level settings, Normal and Economy. The switch is enclosed inside the housing, and it must be disassembled to change settings. There isn't a huge difference in brightness, so I just left it at Economy. It has 4 solar panels on top, each one is at a 45 degree angle. That means at least one of the panels will get only a small amount of sunlight in many latitudes. Here in Southern California during winter, the "blind" panels will never see any direct light for 6 months; despite this, it still manages to have a decent run time. With our current 11 hour day, it runs all night and into the morning when sunny. When the previous day is overcast, it is still on in the morning, but only at about 25% output. Overall construction is very good, with some minor issues. The screws for the housing are hard to remove, the Phillips bolts have rather poor quality heads and it's hard to get a screwdriver bit to stay in. Mounting is easy, it just goes right on top of a standard 3 inch tube.

I love this new solar lamp. It is LED which means it will stay bright longer than older incandescent bulbs (lower energy use). It's attractive and hardly noticeable that it is solar powered, has two light intensity settings and can be post mounted or bracket mounted. Seems solid and well made and hopefully will last a long time. I've always wanted a post mounted light out near the beginning of my driveway but didn't want the expense of burying electric lines. Now I've got it! Only thing is I had a little problem when I opened the box which I show how to fix in the accompanying video. A screw was loose and it was a little tricky at first to correct.
