I left a review in January about part being backorder and horrible customer service. since then my combo IS NOT DRYING CLOTHES have to have repair again tomorrow to see why it takes 5 hours to dry a comforter and sheet and over 9 hours to dry towels. I cannot get in touch with ge like they asked me to because I cannot locate them on Facebook. I hate this machine and DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR ANYBODY. would love to be able to get a real washer and dryer that works and get rid of this scrappy thing but am not allowed to return. have to clean the filter in the the pedestal after every load just so it does go bad again.

We purchased a set of these when we purchased our new washer and dryer. Once of the drawers was broken when the installers set them up. They ordered a whole new unit and replaced the drawer. About 2 months ago, the other one broke. I attempted to fix the drawer front, but it is made so cheaply that their is barely anything for the screw to hold on to. Really poor design of holding the front face to the drawer.

The cover on the dryer drawer broke off in less than one month. The metal also bends easily and doesn’t seem to hold the weight of the appliance. Not to mention I had to return a drawer because it came bent up and they would not simply exchange it. I had to wait two weeks for a refund and had to reorder it. I would not recommend. For this price and the low quality, I would have much rather went with a different pedestal option. Unfortunately, I had one pedestal installed and was stuck getting the other.

I ordered two of these pedestals and one had missing parts which prevented installation of my GE dryer. Contact GE if that happens to you. If you are using yhe pedestal forbthe GE gas dryer, just know the pedestal is slighter bigger than the dryer.

The delivery people who came to install our brand new GE GFW850SPNRS washer and GE GFD85ESPNRS dryer (we are very happy with both) started to prepare installation of the pedestal when low and behold the front face of the pedestal was hanging by a thread. - the plastic screw holes that are held by 4 screws were all broken. We had purchased two and 1 of them came defective out of box. I am hoping GE is able to send a replacement pedestal front cover or a brand new unit. When you pay this premium price you would expect an undamaged product.

Heavy duty and very roomy to store all kinds of stuff!

You're paying almost 30% of the price of each washer/dryer so you have a pedestal to prevent your back from hurting so much. It does make your room look a tad smaller if you have a lower ceiling since it makes the machines look huge. It does help with storage, though. Many don't need this if they aren't too tall, but even at 5'8, it makes it a bit more comfortable for me.

I wasn't sure I would like the pedestal and didn't know if I wanted to spend the extra money on it but I'm glad I did. My previous washer did not have one and this makes it so much easier to get clothes in and out of the washer. Plus it adds storage space.

The overall experience was a nightmare!

Very unstable Home Depit promised installation included and the delivery people just literally dropped it and didn’t even want to haul the old one out and they later lied and said installation was not included it’s reprehensible and waste of time and money

Had this for months now. Saved alot in electricity, soap and time. What a great product

I'm writing this review to counter all of the negative reviews given. I purchased these pedestals the summer of 2020. Due to COVID they were delivered and installed in April 2021. I loved them! The color was magnificent and they gave me the laundromat feel. In the 3 years that I have used them, I have never had a problem. They are extra roomy, allowing me to put large bottles of laundry supplies in them. For someone with limited space, this was excellent!

Had it delivered has not been balanced since I’ve had three techs out and another one coming today to try to get it balanced it’s been a roller coaster. Now a happy customer right now.

The item is broken and still waiting to the item to be replaced. Everyone I call Home Depot about the fix they act like it’s the first time I have called.

I love this washer. My clothes come out smelling great, they are clean. It is the best!!!!!

This puts the unit at a nice level for loading and unloading, and has a lot of storage for detergent, softener, an iron, and more. The problem with this though is that it slowly moves to the left of the laundry room with every use. We have had to have multiple people come help us move it back into place multiple times. It is currently shifted and I noticed the rubber on the back foot is destroyed. Too heavy to replace the foot but also don't want to scratch the floor. Frustrated.

wow. the 16 in height laundry pedestal really makes a difference in looks of the washer/dryer, ease of getting clothes in and out and making things around not being in the way.

Although the delivery was a few weeks later than first announced, it gave us time to prep the room. The delivery guys were pretty nice too. They double checked the delivery and made sure all the components were not damaged.

I recently purchased the GE 28 in. Wide Laundry Pedestal with 16 in. Height in White, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. I initially ordered the 16-inch pedestal but later realized it was too bulky for my laundry space and made filling the detergent dispenser uncomfortable. I wanted to exchange it for the 7-inch pedestal, but when I contacted customer service, they informed me that returns or exchanges were not possible once the pedestal had been attached to the machines. This experience has left me quite disappointed, especially considering the importance of customer satisfaction and the flexibility one would expect when making such a significant purchase. I regret my decision and wish I had known about the return policy limitations beforehand.
