If you're using Home Assistant, Jasco now pushes firmware updates to its Z-Wave wired products.. I'm not sure if a firmware update is available for this particular switch, but many of my Jasco/GE devices have received updates (as of late 2022). Search for Jasco and Home Assistant for more details.

I own over 15 of these and they work great with Hubitat. Best way to install motion sensors in a room without people noticing them.

Good switch so far. Came with latest firmware installed. Was able to the the motion detector as its own entity within automations in HA

You cant update the firmware without a special hub, the motion sensors can't be disabled, and by default the motion sensor turn on the lights immediately even if you just turned them off and are trying to walk away from the switch

Trying to update the over 4-year-old firmware on a recently bought switch is a nightmare. Connected with HomeAssistant, you could update these by uploading a firmware image to it but this company (Jasco) doesn't provide any firmware files because they don't know the difference between source code and a proprietary, already compiled firmware image. The only way to update these is through a compatible Z-Wave hub, which they even not list, so you're end up with new bought switches, whose firmware is 4~5 years old, has a lot of bugs in it and you can't even update these without ripping every switch out of the wall...

Purchase two of these products for the house. Was an easy installation and connection to the alarm control box for Alexa control. Love this switch over the other ones had already installed for light motion because of the Alexa feature. It also have a nice smooth look on the wall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These switches have really made operating my life much more pleasant. As someone who’s travels frequently, I could t recommend these enough. I’m in love with Z-wave products! I use Alexa, and I had no problem “discovering” and us ng the switch after install. The install can be a bit confusing if you aren’t super familiar with wiring (like me), but after a false start or two, once I’d turned the breaker back on it worked like a charm. There is a blue LED that lets you know it’s ready to function. My house has older receptacle boxes, so it was a tight fit, but with patience you can get it done. You will need a hub to interact with Alexa, FYI. I was concerned about buzzing being an issue, but not a peep for me so I’m very pleased in that front! It takes a bit to familiarize the manual functioning, though honestly I hardly use them that way, preferring my voice or mobile device, and what can be easier than telling them what to do aloud?! I am very happy with the product and definitely recommend!!

When purchasing this device you would think that SmartThings would be able to operate it. Not so, you must attach a 3rd party DTH. My understanding is that the mfg makes the device and Samsung then develops the DTH, which Samsung doesn't always do. It is a good thing independent developers take

The only thing missing was a face plate to cover up the switch and make it safe around my children.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I've been slowly trying to make my home mostly "smart" starting with these motion switches. Surprisingly, these were fairly easy to set up and install and once that is done they work like a dream. I live alone and I find these really give me a piece of mind with the motion control and the access to my lights from my phone/Alexa. As far as the benefits to this switch - It does have a sensitivity switch and also different operational modes. I would for sure go with the motion sensor light switch as it really will spoil you!

Then you must get the Z-Wave Plus Wireless Smart Lighting Control Motion Switch. You set up the switch to turn on lights automatically and there are three different modes to do this: Occupancy mode, Vacancy mode and Manual Mode. I especially like occupancy mode because lights turn on when I enter a room and when I leave, they'll automatically turn off in a short span of time. If you're out of town, you can set it up for lights to turn on and off depending what you program. This is a cool gadget and makes my life easier.

It has lots of features that I love such as I can control it from my phone, it can detect motion and I can customize when I want the lights on. It was fairly simple to install if you follow the instructions. It took about a half hour to install. It also comes with white or almond buttons so it can easily match your other switches. Although, I do wish it came with the wall plate too.

It was fairly simple to install and worked exactly as it should. This light works great for my daughter who is afaid of the dark because it turns right on when she walks in. No more searching for the switch. I also love how it is smart and can be controled by wifi. Pretty awesom.
