The 36” electric “Profile” cooktop is black, sleek, and beautiful. The smooth surface has digital controls with no knobs to collect grease or grime. It heats up fast—especially the Power Boil option—and, equally important, it cools rapidly too. I’m so glad we chose this GE product!

We replaced a pristine-looking 30+ year old Jenn Air glass cooktop with this unit. We were shocked when Jello in a saucepan overflowed and cause severe pitting and hazing on one of the burners. The cooktop is beautiful but very fragile.

Easy to install and very easy to clean. Looks great too!

I used my cooktop today for first time. Easy to operate. Clean lines. No knobs. I love love love my new GE 36” Profile electric cooktop.

We installed our new cooktop in our newly remodeled farmhouse. It's sleek black glass looks amazing with our white quartz countertops. We really do love the way it cooks. I really love the fact that you can lock the controls so it doesn't accidentally get turned on.

So excited! We had to replace our cook. My husband just put it in for me. He didn’t seem to have any difficulties. It’s looks great. Can’t wait to cook dinner tonight.

We thought this would be an excellent cook top. We followed the instructions about having a straight edged pan. First time we heated water we were left with several scratches on the burner.

This replaced an electric cooktop with knobs. My only complaint is when you put anything on it that you’re not cooking, it beeps. Even while your cleaning it. Very sensitive does the job. So far so good. Glad I purchased

We’ve only had the cooktop for a couple of days now. This replaced an older (14 year) GE Profile cooktop that developed a bad burner with no replacement available. Works great and looks clean and neat. If there were one improvement that we could wish for is that the controls need to be a little more visible in dim lighting. Very easy to control and so far very pleased with the product.

We had this cooktop installed in a large island. I love the size, appearance. If I could change anything g it would be to be able to read the controls easier. Sometimes they are hard to see depending on the time of the day.

Good size to cook various items at the a sa Ame time.

This cooktop was very easy to install. I love the tri-ring element and the burner sync function and with no knobs it is a breeze clean!

Love the new style. Had an older one used for years

This is an extremely poor design. The large center eye means that if you use a large frying pan, the handle is always over at least one or two eyes, depending on if the pan has a second handle on the end. Also you have to reach over boiling or steaming items on other eyes to lift the largest pot or pan in the center eye off the cook top. If you use the next largest eye, the pot or pan easily encroaches on the small eye at the top and the edge of the center eye. This is just useless for anyone who likes to cook multiple things for a crowd- like a big Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. I am so disappointed.

I am so happy with my new cook top. All my family love and enjoy it so much. It is so cool.

I bought a house which is three year old. It has GE Profile PP9036DJ1BB cook top. The surface is full of scratches and erosion. How do I fix it. Does it cover under warranty? How much is the cost of screen if not covered under warranty?

Just had it installed today. I can see all kinds of ugly irregular red lines through glass. Not attractive at all

It is easy to clean and beautiful. It is enough for variety of cookware.

Range is great. Bought this to replace a 30 year old Amana ceramic cooktop that just wore out. New unit heats up evenly and quickly. Having no knobs takes some getting use to, as it is pretty easy to set something on the top and inadvertently turn on one or more burners. There is a safety lock to prevent this, but then the red indicator light is on all the time which catches your eye and you then go look / see if the range is on or not. Most likely something we will overcome with time. It will boil about 2" of water in a 6" pan very quickly, easily less than 3 minutes, which to us is very fast in comparison to our old cooktop. Only downside I found was the dimensions listed on the Home Depot website DO NOT match the cooktop. The depth of the range, (front to back), is actually about 3/8" less than the spec listed of 20.875". This created a problem for us, as it left a 1/4" gap in the back between the range top and the countertop. Of course this unit is marked "no returns", so I was left to devise a plan to fix the problem by filling the void and covering it with thin stock stainless to match the trim of the range top. In the end, the wife is happy, so we are all happy!

I love this cooktop! It has great features & cleans up easily. The power boil burner works like a charm & it seems to cool down quickly when turned off.

Excellent cooktop! Replaced an existing GE profile unit which had knobs. The touchpad controls are awesome. Also love that it has 5 burners for a 30" cooktop. It fit perfectly into the existing space. There was no need to make any alterations to the granite. I would highly recommend this!

Initially, we were looking for an inductive technology stovetop, but after reading about low reliability of combo inductive/non-inductive stovetops, we decided to go with the more traditional (and reliable, we hope) non-inductive technology. Also, this allows us to use our existing cookware. This stovetop has all the features we want and looks great. Like a black car, it shows dust and streaks, so you'll find yourself polishing it regularly. To give us peace of mind, we bought the extended 5 year warranty. Installation was straight-forward.

It failed after a year of use. Not happy with that! Uo to now the cooktop has work well. I wish it had more timers.

I have had 3...5 burner cooktops even Dacor this is by far one of the best cooktops I have ever owned. It cleans up beautifully the controls are easy...please never change this product it is the best. Took a chance and ordered GE but I have absolutely no regrets. Extremely pleased with this fantastic product and quality.

Great design, heats quickly and the controls are very easy to use.
