Awesome microwave
We needed to replace our GE profile built in microwave which we had had for several years and liked. I called GE and they told me this was the new model for us to use as the replacement. We needed to change the build in kit also. My husband and I are not handy men by any means but we managed to remove our old microwave and install this new one with relative ease, and couldn’t be happier with the look. The microwave is large and the inside light gives adequate illumination although some reviews have stated otherwise. I love the responsiveness of the touchpad you barely have to touch it. We have had no problem with the door as also been mentioned in other reviews. Love, love my new microwave and the look in my kitchen. By the way did I mention how quiet it is.

Outstanding quality and appearance
Just replaced our 10-year-old GE Profile 2.2 cu ft 1100-watt microwave with the current GE Profile model in stainless steel to match our new kitchen. Matched the wall oven looks using the microwave in gray with a stainless-steel trim kit. Nothing wrong with the prior unit, just wrong color now. Expecting same great quality and performance from the new model.

Great Sensor Cooking
This is the first time I am using a microwave of GE and I must it turned out to be an excellent choice. It’s not only stylish but also has great features with amazing performance. It is also spacious so that you can easily keep large dishes to warm the food.

Long time coming

Perfect replacement in custom cabinets
Our house was a custom home built in 2004. The original GE Profile microwave finally bit the dust this year. I had no idea how tough it can be to get a replacement microwave with the exact dimensions in these custom cabinets. Glad GE still makes a model that is a perfect fit.

On fire!
I moved in our new home on January 2020. It came with brand new built in GE microwave. It lasted only 2 years and today is unusable. It is on fire!

Replaced 1996 GE built-in microwave
We needed to replace our built-in microwave. Originally installed in 1996, no parts were available. Since it was a "built-in", the replacement microwave and matching trim kit had to fit the pre-existing cutout in cabinet. This model and trim kit was an exact match size-wise for my original GE JET1540. Installation was straightforward. Very happy with end result. The trim kit was a little overpriced, being all plastic (original was metal) - and it sticks out with "vent holes" quite visible from the sides. But overall, it looks nice and functions perfectly.

This microwave was exactly what we were looking for. It pairs well with the 30” trim kit that we also purchased. Both items suited together gave us the look we were looking for as a built in above our wall mount stove. All of the options on this microwave along with the size make it perfect. Definitely a must have !!!

Easy to read buttons with express cooking from on.
Lots of special cooking choices. Popcorn button works grea. Express cook is so convenient and easy. Love the large numbers for the clock. The timer is always a nice tool to have and it’s easy to locate. The inside is darker than the previous microwave but getting to like the color much better. Easy to clean. It does seem more difficult to see the food being cooked. It does detect food and will not cook if no food is in the microwave.

Replaced my old builtin
Love the sleek design and the grey interior. I wasn't sure it would blend with my other stainless appliances but it looks like my oven doors which works out great. I used the Black Slate surround which gave the whole unit a modern edge.

Built-in Microwave
About time we need to replace 20 years old GE JE2840GB 002 model in Black. It's too bad similar Black units are hard to find. Not only microwave the trim kit is also not available for a newer model. Still waiting for Black trim kit. See photo. The door makes loud noise during closing and opening. It works the same as our old one.

Toshiba Part Short Life Span
Thus will be my second replacement for Yidhibs Part 2N248J in three years. I don’t understand why the part goes out so frequently. Research indicates it should be good for at least 6 years. Only one person in the house that uses the microwave on just an average vasis for heating only.

Very basic
It’s very basic for a microwave comparator the cost. Also it already has had a problem with cover wave guide inside of it almost starting on fire. And now I see the part on the website is not even available.

Great features, works fantastic, but.....
My old microwave finally went out. Since they no longer made it, I went with the GE Profile which replaced the version of the old one. Love it, but the inside top is fading and peeling. I use only soap and water to clean and we cover the food placed in it. For the amount of money i paid, i didnt expect that to be an issue. GE Is there anything I can do to stop the peeling?

Great Microwave
This microwave is very easy to learn to use and works really well. Very intuitive! I only use it to heat food up and cook baked potatoes. It does both jobs well! I would highly recommend it

Came w/ new house 2 yrs & now it won't heat.
Came w/ new house 2 yrs & now it won't heat the food up. Smh....Great features! But the features don't matter if the product doesn't work. Quality doesn't match the price. Cheaply made.

If your microwave runs but is not heating, there could be one of many components that is not working properly.
Please make sure the “Timer” function was not inadvertently used.
Check to ensure the door is closed securely. Open the door and close it firmly. This confirms the engagement of the door's safety mechanisms.
For safety reasons, we offer no do-it-yourself repair advice on microwave ovens. There is an internal high voltage capacitor which can hold a high voltage charge even after the microwave has been unplugged. Also, special equipment is generally needed to make a diagnosis for the repair needed.
