If you have to cook almost everything first to put into the pressure cooker then what good is it/

Have used the pressure cooker a handful of times since purchase. Cooked a whole 5.5 lb chicken and it was perfect. Everything I have made so far was delicious. Experimented with popcorn, it was so much better than microwave! My only complaint is it could have better directions and more recipes.

It's great. I can cook beans right out of the bag in 30 minutes, whereas I used to cook them for 3 hrs in a Dutch oven and soak them overnight-though I I did sometimes cook them without soaking in the Dutch oven as well. Also rice cooks to perfection in 12 minutes, though it takes about 10 minutes to heat up as well.

Very easy to use

Excellent pressure cooker! We have had this model for a year and WOW I wish I had gotten one sooner. It has made cooking easier and a lot more enjoyable. I love looking up new options for dinner. It makes the best and most tender mushroom,onion soup mix roast beef 1 hr total time on high pressure (Poultry) setting, then turn off and let it natural release for 10-20 mins to keep meats tender. It takes time and trial and error to learn exactly how to get the meal just right but the time and electricity saved is well worth it. Cooks potatoes and pasta super quick and perfectly. You will love this unit too! great value at under $50.00. I paid $75.00 with the extended warranty too.

This product exceeds my expectations. Makes cooking everyday meals quick and easy. Clean up takes seconds.

I have had many “electric” pressure cookers and I do know how to use them. In any event, the “Geek Chef” pressure cooker needs improvement! One of the most important features on any pressure cooker is the steam release system! With the Geek Chef, I have had to be very careful when opening the valve in order not to get burned! Very hot Water splatters out of the valve before the steam starts coming out – this is not good! The main feature I like is the stainless-steel pot, which all cookers should have. Basically, all pressure cookers cook the same, but the hot water splattering out is a problem. I thought it had burned me at first, but luckily, it was not serious – but like I said, I will have to be very careful from now on!

I love the product, I even compared with Instant Pot, the only difference is that the seal for the lid is less sturdy than Instant Pot’s one. Great, I used a lot.

Used this item 5 times and each time I have been amazed how quickly it cooks. I have cooked chicken, pork, beef and vegetables in it and everything turned out great.

The pressure valve does not rise when I'm using pressure cooker. Instruction manual could use more detailed instructions. So far I've made yogurt (which I used YouTube instructions for Instant Pot cause Geek Chef instructions were inadequate) and pressurized spare ribs. Couldn't set the timer correctly for the ribs.

Bad knok-off of a good product. My instant pot died after 1 1/2 years so I figured, for the price this would be a good deal from the reviews. I couldn't have been more wrong. The seal is not integrated with the lid but on a plate that attaches to the lid (like a rice cooker). This causes the problem with the device not sealing unless you babysit it and press the top of the lid once the steam starts coming out in order to seal it. Not an ideal situation. I will probably just recycle this one and get the real deal. So much for a good deal.

I just love this...it is now my kitchen "go-to"...living in Arizona it's too hot to use my regular oven..so this is great...easy to use...easy to clean...it's my one pot wonder!

The food gets burned

It was hard to set and I had to do it twice and needed something that would with with my raw food I don't want to cook it before I use a pressure cooker that defeat the purpose of having one

It does everything I need, seems well made, instructions obviously non-English speaker I just threw them away instead of trying to figure it out.

Could use more recipes. Instructions are somewhat hard to understand. We are not all engineers, unfortunately. Otherwise please have a nice day!!!

works well and cooks good. moisture/water takes long time to drain from the cover handle.

Wonderful! I have used it to make beef roast, chicken, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes and also yogurt. Now, I say "Why did I wait so long in buying this?" It is a great device to have in any kitchen.

So far so good! Used it twice and everything seems great. A little confusing when you first set it up and there is this rotating red blinking light. That usually means malfunction in many electric devices but in this one it means it is working! lol

Very simple to use and cooks amazing!

I haven't had this very long, but I did use the presser cooker and really liked it. I'm looking forward to using the other functions.
