Customer Reviews for General Finishes 1 gal. Seagull Gray Interior/Exterior Milk Paint

I painted my kitchen cabinets seagull gray. It went well. I only used about 1/4 of a gallon for all the cabinets. That was with 3-4 coats. I then finished with general finishes satin top coat. If you use the top coat, you need to be careful. If it goes on too thick, it turns yellow. I read to lightly sand in between coats and I skipped that after a couple small chips showed up after sanding. I did degrease the cabinets and lightly sanded them prior to painted. I’m super happy with the end result and will be adding butcher block counter tops soon.

Amazing product! This paint covers so nicely and is very hard when it dries. I am refinishing our kitchen cabinets and after much research, I landed on this paint for the project. I am so happy I did! It is Completely worth the cost.

I am very happy with this product including the high performance top coat. It took me ten days (I'm 68 years old five feet zero and had to use a six foot ladder for the first ten doors) but I took my time and am pleased with the outcome. Yes, I have already recommended this system to friends, a couple came by to see my work in progress and were impressed. I will try to send a photo but I am better at painting and projects than fooling with my tablet. Also I didn't think to do before and after until I started on bottom cabinets.

4 coats still didn’t look great- will Not use again and don’t recommend

Easy to apply and a great finish

Used on Farmhouse bed we built.

I love the paint it did look beautiful I just think the cost is way too expensive. I bought two gallons and I only needed one. It did cover nicely lasting so far. I really think I need to come down on the price.

Excellent coverage and goes a long way

This paint is very easy to work with. The coverage is great, it dries quickly between coats and the self leveling characteristics leave a smooth finish. Super easy to clean up.

This paint worked exceptionally well for the garden boxes it was used for. Low order smell and went on thick. It was quick drying to apply multiple coats timely.

I refinished a oak stained double vanity. First I scrubbed with TSP, then I rubbed with liquid sandpaper. After that I rolled it with a 1/4in nap 4” roller and brushed the detail. 2 coats of kilz2, 2 coats of this awesome milk paint and 2 coats of the satin high performance gf. Zero brush marks!!!

Did not cover very well. Took many, many coats of paint.

I purchased this paint after reading MANY reviews. I used it to paint my honey oak kitchen and bathroom cabinets. It took about 3 coats, sometimes 4 to fully cover the oak. We used a brush and roller. The roller wouldn't roll after so long because it just got too saturated with paint. The before and after of my kitchen are amazing. So far, I am please with this paint.

I love this paint for a vintage look. Easy to apply and dries to a beautiful satin finish. I use so much I got the gallon size this time and Homedepot made it easy to order and quick to get

I've only just painted the kitchen cabinets 3 weeks ago so I can't speak to longevity of this paint and durability over time and use. I don't love the antique white color as it seems darker on the cabinets than it appeared in the online images. great consistency and seems like it will hold up.
