I can’t get over how nice this turned out! We had old 1980s vinyl countertops that were disgusting. Because they were vinyl, I sanded and used 2 coats of bonding primer before starting this kit. I followed all the directions to a T, and the results far exceeded my expectations! I have painted coutertops in the past using regular coutertop paint kits, and I have to say that the epoxy is far superior!

I had a countertop in my kitchen that was old Formica. It had chips and cuts in it from years of use. As a DIY woman, I looked at Home Depot for renovating existing countertops and came across Giani Carrera Marble Kit for $200. It covers 35 sq ft of counter space and basically takes the entire day (mostly due to waiting in between coats). As long as you look at the video and read the instructions carefully, the transformation is unbelievable. Here is a before and after picture.

This product is absolutely amazing! I bought it because my fiance and i just bought our first home, and we are flipping it on a budget. This countertop epoxy kit has step by step instructions, a tuturoial video that is also step by step, and on call services in case you get hung up during the process and need assitence. I am not a professional by any means in doing epoxy cointertops, and i had so much fun with the process. I highly reccomend buying this kit, its 100% worth it.

This was a super easy kit to use with AMAZING results. The video tells you every easy to follow step and the kit comes with almost everything you need. Recommending to all my friends. Great DIY project.

Just renovated our bathroom. We wanted to save some money by painting our current vanity and redo the countertop. Decided to give this a try. It looks BEAUTIFUL! While it may not look entirely like marble (my own fault, I’m not an artist lol), but I have received a TON of compliments. Provided is a before and after picture.

We love the new look of our countertops. Lots of drying time, but saved us thousands of dollars! It's definitely worth it.

Used it for the first time and it came out awesome.

I covered a medium gray laminate with 3 base coats 1 day, then the veining (which I was fussy about) 1 day, then today the epoxy which to me was intimidating, but forgiving! I still see some tiny air spots that I'm hoping will come out during the 48 hrs dry time. Over all it's beautiful. I would recommend taping cardboard on the floor around your cabinets for the drips though. Some of mine found its way through the plastic sheeting to the floor.

I used this on our bathroom sink and it worked amazingly!! I removed the sink to prevent a lot of mess.

We’ve been planning on making adjustments to our countertops after redoing the cabinets. Ended up going with the Giani countertop paint for black marble and could not be happier. Looks really nice up close. ABSOLUTELY take your time and reread the instructions and watch the videos multiple times to ensure you are doing each step accurately. This took a lot of patience and planning (especially with multiple pets in the house). However, the end result was worth it. Definitely recommend!

Don’t waste your time. It will never be the new counter you dreamed of just a sad version at best!

Was quite a process to prep and apply and cure, but looks SO much better than before while I save for the real renovation.

I would be giving a better review if the instructions, both written and video, were complete. The biggest problem we had was there were no instructions on what to do to prevent the epoxy from setting with drips over the edges. We did exactly as instructed and there was no instruction whatsoever of how to deal with the drips. We now will be spending many hours cutting off and sanding the drips down. I write this to help future users of this kit. USE a brush or straight edge to remove the drips as the epoxy has started to harden (I'd advise around 30 mins. and again at 60 mins. after you finish applying). Our second issue was that our 4" laminate backsplash has a lot of dimpling that then reflects onto the countertop. Again, we followed the instructions exactly. To prevent this problem, I'd advise that you brush the backsplash from the bottom to the top and then repeat that as the product starts to set. Giani promotes their customer service availability. Most people will be doing this type of project, do it on the weekend. I tried to reach them once I realized that the drips were going to be an issue and there was no customer service on the weekend. Saying all this, I am very happy with how the countertops look on the horizontal surface. If Giani updated their instructions to include how to prevent these issues. Both, how to prevent the drips and how to better apply epoxy to the backsplash to prevent dimpling and have it be coated evenly. Hope this helps others!

Good product. Really turned out nicely. Pay attention to detail and you will be happy with the results.

First time DIY user, and it came out great! I even added a touch of metallic pigment to epoxy, so close up, you see specks of gold/silver. The video was very helpful.

Great product with easy-to-follow directions. The epoxy is excellent quality; self-leveling with almost no bubbling. The results exceeded my expectations.

Love the results. I’m not a crafty person nor a skilled painter. The how to video was very useful for even a novice like me . Allow plenty of drying time between each coat for best result. You are not going to be able to use your countertops will paint is curing so plan accordingly.

Followed all installation instructions through the video and written to a t, and had nothing but problems. mixed base coat thoroughly only to find large pieces of paint skin every time I try to lay down some of the base ended up not being too much of a problem after peeling little pieces and repainting, still a nuisance. Marbling can wouldn't spray at all initially and ended up imploding at the cap with only finger force and covering me and a lot of my kitchen and spray paint marbling. After some communication with the manufacturer they said they would only give me a new can of marbling because there was nothing wrong with the paint even though the damaged marbling can ruined my initial base coat. After expressing that also that was not very ideal for me I figured I could just go buy a can of primer and as long as I had the marbling get the same effect. However even that was to no avail, after that email I received no further correspondence of any kind or product replacements from the vendor even after showing proof of purchase, damage, and everything else they wanted to see. Bad product, Bad customer service, would not recommend.

This is an amazing product. easy to use and has a smooth high gloss finish. the base coat applies so smooth you think won't want to add any marble effects, but you do and you are not disappointed. the 2 part epoxy is premeasured so easy. go buy it now.

Worked on this project for an entire day. I followed every direction and still had excessive bubbles in the epoxy as it dried. Now I have to figure out how to fix this problem.

Good kit, first time painting anything, me and my 15 year-old son did together. Could have epoxyed better but overall big improvement.

This kit is great and surprisingly easy to complete after watching Giani’s YouTube video and reading the instructions. We paired this marble paint kit with the NUVO cabinet paint and are very pleased with the results. Only downfall is wait time after applying epoxy. We only did one side of the kitchen at a time and the project definitely took a lot longer than one weekend, but we have two young kids that expectedly interrupts the process. Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone looking to give their kitchen an inexpensive facelift!

I have never ever done a project like this before. It turned out beautiful. All through the process before and after I have stayed in touch with Giani and they have been great and giving me tips and the videos are so detailed anybody with any kind of no how could do this. It feels like glass it looks totally awesome!

The kit is easy to use and you can find instructions video online pretty easily. It looks good just like marbles. I like it very much.

Meet all my expectations. This project was very simple when you follow the directions. Took me about to complete paint, design and coat.
