This is a great addition to your garage or garden. The platform is 47" long and 12" wide. Folded up, it is only 3.25" wide. There is a cut-out in the middle of it so it's very easy to grab the cut-out and carry it. It is very lightweight and well balanced so anyone can carry it. The platform itself has ridges in it so you're not going to slip when standing on it. When you unfold the legs, they snap into place so there's no question about whether or not you've got it right and they have rubber on the bottom so they won't slip nor will they mar your floor . The legs splay out to a length of 57" so it is very stable. Not only do I use it as a platform but it's also pretty convenient as a bench - two adults can sit comfortably on it, 3 if they don't mind being cozy. When opened up, the top of the bench is 20" tall so it comes roughly knee high.

I sliced the bag and pulled it out; it was way lighter than I thought it would be, and I was immediately bummed as I figured this was too lightweight for me and tools, etc. My model is rated at 300 pound load. (Note: GLA-47WP listed at the HD site is rated at 250 pound load.) I tossed the step stool aside where I was replacing a deck light and opened this up with one hand. It is easy to open. This thing is strong. And even at 12 inches, it is stable. I used this for about 15 minutes-- up and down-- used my foot to move it around with no problem. The width is nice because you can widen your stance for more power than using a simple step stool. To be sure, I would not allow another person to stand on this with me, but it clearly can handle the weight of my body wearing a tool belt. I am actually happier that I have the smaller 12 inch model than the wider 14 inch with the same weight rating.

This platform is great! Easy to setup, folding legs lock securely in place. Very sturdy once in place, steps at each end makes getting on/off the platform a breeze. The top surface has very good grip on the feet, and the length is perfect for covering plenty of work area without moving it around. It is surprisingly light weight but feels very sturdy under my 215 lb body, no swaying or creaking. Folds quickly and does not take up much storage space. Overall, great product to have, I will certainly have many uses for it over the coming years! Get one, you will wonder how you lived without it!

I've owned gorilla ladders for 5 years. I use them everyday and still have them and will always buy them. The locking mechanism and 4' length make them the best made! Super lightweight and told up to fit anywhere.

Was very skeptical at first about this platform. After several uses it has become my everyday work bench. Very good construction.

I like the lightweight and compact size. I purchased two to extend the workspace. Wish I had purchased a couple more. I have looked at a few all rated at 225 lb. I'm at 250 lb guy. This feels very sturdy when I'm on it.

Very good quality at an affordable price .They are light weight compact and multi functional for kinds of construction needs . I really enjoy using them to set up on my job sites to organize my hand power tools and work bag and also to rest on during my lunch break. If these platforms can handle me they got to be good.

Bought 2 on Black Friday 2016. These are BETTER than the other brand from the "Other" store because 1. They are 6" longer than the other brand. 2. They fold up smaller. I can put 2 of these in the same space of just 1 of the other brand scaffold/work platform. 3. Also, these are just a tad lower in height than the other brand so using them as a bench seat is a tad easier for those of us who are vertically challenged. Immediately used these while painting the bedroom (remember, vertically challenged) and I can't say enough good things about how well they performed under my 200 lbs and set on slippery tile. Bedroom door is much easier to paint while resting horizontal on these work platforms.

Wish it had more ladder like steps rather than round bar steps. Difficult for me to climb up

Lightweight and helpful

i bought 3 of these and they are solid and sturdy but all 3 of them are difficult to engage the button to fold the legs. I have to use a hammer to engage it to unlock but even after that the legs require a lot of effort to fold down. I sometimes have to put against a solid wall and push on ladder to get it to fold.

Nice bench to work off of. Sturdy and very handy if you have a tall vehicle like I do.
