The first few times I had my new granite countertops, I was using the chemical liquid on a rag and sealing them. But to be honest, I got worried about the chemicals and really never saw any positive change from doing them. Fast forward to today, and these wipes represent a new way of doing your granite sealing, without the chemicals as everything is in a simple to use wipe. I found that these do appear to do the sealing, and then I polished them with a polish afterwards. They really look so much better than they did. Following the directions, cleaning countertops first, then applying but not letting it dry on contact to prevent a haze, then waiting and reapplying. Waited before applying a polish. It works. Hard to tell from photos, but I can see that the surface is repelling water and brings a "like new" look to the counter tops!

I spent a lot of money remodeling my kitchen and one of the most attractive and expensive features are the beautiful granite countertops. They are now three years old and have had a lot of cooking, parties and other activities wearing down the shine. As part of my regular maintenance to protect my investment, I use Stone Care products such as Clean and Shine to keep them looking good but have not resealed them. This weekend I used the Stone Care Granite Gold Sealer Wipes to reseal them. This safe on hands, water-based wipe pack is touted to seal approximately 75 square feet of natural stone. I have a very large kitchen with about 90 square feet of granite, but the pack was sufficiently ample to apply two coats of sealer. It was so easy and made the counter tops look like new. Removing everything off the counters took longer than the actual sealer application. Make sure you follow the directions exactly by doing the sealing in small sections and carefully clean them with a Stone Care Cleaner first. You must wipe the counter down with a lint free towel after application or it will streak or look cloudy. I am very happy with the results and highly recommend Stone Care Wipes as well as their other products. My resealed counters are bright, shiny and feel very smooth to the touch. All products are food safe and can be used on a variety of natural stone surfaces. Check out my pictures.

I love how easy these wipes are to use, and how how great my granite looks after application. The wipes are thick, go a long way and can be used on any natural stone surface. I cleaned my counters with the Granite Gold Cleaning wipes first, then applied the sealer which goes on quickly and easily, and then buffed to a beautiful shine. The resealable pouch is so convenient for using on counters in other rooms when needed. They are water based, safe on hands and prep surfaces, non toxic, and no ammonia. My counters will now be protected from staining, etching and soil build up. I highly recommend.

These Granite Gold Sealer Wipes are a handy solution to sealing your granite. Using the sealer will protect your granite from stains or dirt build up. This is a necessary step to protect your investment in your home's countertops. I finished the edge of a piece of cut granite myself, so I've seen how the granite's surface can be porous. These wipes made the sealer application so easy. It was very similar to wiping the counter with a wet wipe and then drying the granite afterwards. The wipes were loaded heavy with sealer so the coverage was great. This made sealing such an easy step.

These are convenient and do a great job getting sealant on stone. Nobody wants to seal their countertops because it's a pain. You have to pour or spray the sealer, wipe it in, then buff it off. This eliminates one step in that process, making the process a bit easier. The wipes are supposed to be enough to cover 70 square feet of counter. One wipe was moist enough to seal our entire counter, but I found it best to do it twice. Simply take a wipe out, rub it onto the counter using a circular motion, and then buff it off with a cloth. The wipes are made up of fabric so they don't tear, but my concern is that if you don't use the entire pack at once they won't stay moist until the next time you seal your counter. I'm going to keep my pack in a zip lock bag to help retain the sealer and stave off evaporation. Aside from that these are great.

I used the whole package trying to seal one island, and barely got some shine. I get that they are convenient, but a package won't get you very far. I think there were 6 8-inch x 8-inch wipes in one package. The instructions specify you should use the Granite Gold brand cleaner first, then the sealer, then dry/buff with a microfiber towel - so even with these pre-saturated wipes, you still need other products to do the job correctly. The instructions also say to repeat 3 times, but I used all the wipes trying to seal one island one time. Using three packages for one island seems really pricey. Another question mark for me. Finally, the safety cautions were a bit puzzling. In big letters it says "Safe on Hands" and "Safe on food-prep surfaces, non-toxic" and then in smaller letters it says something that is much scarier - "KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. In case of eye contact, flush with water for 10-15 minutes. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Drink large amounts of water, consult a physician"

We are sorry to hear you were not satisfied. Sealing stone maintains maximum surface protection against stains and etches; it will not produce shine or enhance luster. Using Granite Gold Polish®, however, will accomplish that. As stated on the packaging, the solution is safe on hands and food-prep surfaces. We include the safety information out of an abundance of caution, should anything occur. The Stone Care Experts at Granite Gold®

the Granite Gold sealer wipes are an easy to use product that seals all natural stone surfaces such as granite or marble using a non-toxic water based formula that protects against staining, etching and soil build up. they come in a 6 pack resealable pouch that is easy to store and keeps the premoistened wipes fresh. i think they are a big improvement over spray sealers, no over spray to clean up, easier to use in tight spaces and around faucets and a 30 minute drying time. it doesn't get any easier than this to seal your counter tops in a short amount of time with minimal effort.

Nice quality natural stone sealer wipes by Granite Gold. The cloth is thick, strong, and well sized. Came out of the package nice and damp. No strong odor and safe for hands is a plus. I used the product on a newly installed marble top vanity in a powder room which would be prone to water spots and stains from liquid soap dispensers. I applied the product as instructed using a micro fiber towel and it left a nice smooth finish. I let a few drops of water sit on the surface for about 30 minutes then wiped them and there was no evidence of spots left behind.

I have used other granite sealers in the past that have been liquids or sprays. All of them have been effective. I must say that these are the most convenient ones that I have used, but one pays for the convenience. At roughly $2.00 per cloth (and therefore use), these are not inexpensive. The directions say that to get the most effectiveness, one should go over the same area 3 times. Whether or not this is necessary I cannot say, but I was able to use the same cloth for all 3 applications in my kitchen that has approximately 28 sq. ft of granite countertop.

Food safe stone sealer
I was really worried about how this would interact with my granite countertops - only because they are so expensive and damaging them is not an option as the stone I picked is very unique. So I approached this product with caution and tried the application in an inconspicuous space. To my delight it works! My biggest concern has been water would absorb into my counters and would make a visible discoloration until it evaporated back out of the stone. With this liquid sealer, that has stopped! For food preparation, I use my bare counters to do a lot of food prep and this product is non-toxic, non-acidic, pH balanced, biodegradable, no phosphates or ammonia. Color me satisfied and happy!

We're so glad you're satisfied, and thanks for sharing! Here's tip on knowing when it's time to re-seal:

Pour water (about 3 inches in diameter) on the surface and let it sit for 30 minutes. Be sure to do this in several locations, since the integrity of the seal could vary from one area to another. If the water beads, then the stone remains sealed. However, if the stone is penetrated – look for a dark mark or ring created by the water – it is time to reseal. Check for etching and stains as well before sealing your stone surfaces. You’ll want to fix these issues before the sealant is applied.

Easy Sealer
Our solid slab granite countertop is six months old and had lost a bit of its luster. The installers recommended we reseal it every 8-12 months, so we figured now was a great time to get a jump on it. Before I used this product, I wasn't aware just exactly how much luster the counter had lost. It still looked shiny to me, and I could see my under-cabinet LED lights in the reflection if I looked closely. After thoroughly cleaning the counter in preparation of sealing, I snapped a photo out of curiosity. The sealer was very easy to "install." We did a 2-person method: one person sprays and wipes, the other person buffs. It took less than 5 minutes to do the entire counter (we have about 16 linear feet). After sealing, I took another photo out of curiosity. As it turns out, my counter had lost quite a bit of luster as the second photo showed a much clearer reflection of the under-cabinet lights. Plus, I could see much more detail in the reflection such as the tile backsplash and the cabinets themselves! Now, this is a sealer, not a polish, but it does return smooth granite slabs to luster. I am eager to try out the granite polish in a couple of days and see how much shinier the counter will become--you can polish 24 hours after the application of the sealer.

Invisible protection that's easy to apply
These are our first granite countertops and I really wanted to make sure I was taking care of them the right way from the start. I applied this sealer the day after the installers left; and it was extremely easy. One container is probably enough for two applications in a kitchen of our size. So far, the tops made it through the holidays with no scuffing or anything, so I think it's working!

Good Sealer
I love having granite and marble. I have it in my kitchen and 2 bathrooms. But unlike quartz , you have to seal it about twice a year according to my granite dealer. This Granite Gold is very easy to use. Just spray, wipe after a minute, then I leave it a few hours even though it does not say to.

Recommendations on when to re-seal vary among installers. Here's a tip: Regularly check the integrity of the seal with an at-home water test. Pour water (about 3 inches in diameter) on the surface in several locations and let it sit for 30 minutes. If you see a dark mark or ring, the water is penetrating the stone and it’s time to reseal.granitegold

Who knows if it really seals it. Pretty much no real difference other than slightly waxier looking counters after 4 applications.

I use this product as well as the granite cleaning product at least every two weeks on my granite countertops both in the kitchen and bathrooms. I get compliments from visitors saying that the shine of the granite makes the granite look brand new even though the house is 5 years old.
