No replacement parts and no marching blades anywhe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's very difficult to get mulching blades for this lawn mower. I've also had a replacement sent to me because the bolt and the threads on the mower that holds the blade on was stripped out on both of the lawn mowers. You just cannot find any replacement parts at all for this thing.

Hello Maybenot. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. This mower uses dual counter-spinning blades which drive the grass clippings towards the center and into the bag. Mulching blades are not available for this unit. We are sorry for any inconvenience this news may cause. Here is a direct link for the replacement blades for this mower: https://greenworkstools.com/products/25-inch-lawn-mower-replacement-blades-2952002 Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, contact us through Live Chat on www.greenworkstools.com or call Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline 1-855-345-3934.
      Pleased but not thrilled.
Overall, 3-stars might be a little harsh but I couldn't bring myself to go higher. Made the switch from a gas powered Honda to this and I do love the reduced noise and never needing gas. It rolls very easily and the drive propulsion is quick (maybe a little too quick) and has plenty of power. A couple of areas that could use improvement: The cutting & mulching performance leaves a lot to be desired.. it leaves clumps of grass in its wake and long blades of grass sitting on top of the lawn as though they were pulled up instead of cut. Could be the the two small 13" blades for the 25" model? In hindsight, I probably should have gone with the 22" and used the mulching blade like my Honda had, but unfortunately there is no option to exchange and no small mulching blades available for the 25" deck. With a small corner lot, bagging my clippings isn't an option since I have no where to put them... is what it is. There's also this weird delay using the self-propelled feature where the wheel seem to stay engaged for a second or so after you let go of the lever so you end up dragging it because the wheels are locked unless you remember to disengage it a couple feet before the end of your run. Small nuisances. I'm a little disappointed but overall pleased with it, just not thrilled.

Hello Ryan85, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! Greenworks designed this with a brushless motor that is based off our 60V platform. This means more power and longer run times. One cool aspect to this mower is the Smart Cut load-sensing Technology which means it is not always running full speed. If the mower senses a thicker part of the lawn or needs more power, automatically senses load & ramps from 2800-3200 RPM, when more power is needed. This not only helps the mower get through tough conditions, but also helps save on battery and provides a longer run time. Running a lawnmower at less than full throttle can cause its blades to run at a lower speed than is necessary to make a complete cut. Lawnmowers are designed to run at full throttle when their mowing blades are engaged. Anything less than full throttle results in poor cutting, which includes those annoying streaks of grass left behind with each pass. Hopefully this information will assist in a more enjoyable user experience. Should you have any further questions or warranty needs, please contact us directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a Live agent or call us on Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934. 25 inch Mower My new toy!
25 inch is the way to go ! I have .36 of an acre and it last with battery left over , that was my biggest fear getting a lawn mower with batteries , Its so easy to use compared to my gas mower thats 21 inch ,batteries charge fast and pop right in , Im 64 and love the auto walk feature, just let go seconds before you turn or the back tire locks up , not a big deal once you know ,Its nice not bagging when I use the mulching attachment but easy to pop out to bag too! I could go on more about this but ill stop Love it ,just cant wait to see if they come out with a 30 inch push :D cant use riding mowers with my bad neck and back .

        Strongly recommend.
Bought this mower to replace an 11 year old Troy-bill gas mower. This mower is quiet yet powerful. Easy to assemble and easy to use. Handles my .5 acre lot without draining one battery.

Excellent mower with enough power for what you need, batteries last an hour for me, it’s enough to do half acre at once i had the 16 inch one, upgraded to this one, came with spare set of blades and was very easy to assemble. I’ve got all yard tools greenworks. You can’t go wrong with them

Takes Mowing to a Whole New Level
Makes pretty good cut for a mower on this price range. So far, so good! Now, I’m wishing Greenworks would come up with a 28-30’ wide cutting deck!

        Great Product!
Was skeptical but really is nice. Did whole lawn on less than one battery (didn't use self propelled). Mower is light and easy to maneuver. Space saving storage! 25" cut is great!

Absolutely worth replacing gas powered mower
A very capable replacement for a 21 inch gas mower. Lighter easier to maneuver just enough assist with self propelled function if one needs a little extra help. Recommend not letting grass get long enough to need to bag it as that’s where the time saving shows with a 25 inch deck and conserves battery life.

          From unpacking to first operation
First of all, I was very impressed with how easy this was to assemble. I needed two things scissors and a Philips screwdriver. It is fully assembled in the box except for the handle. Cut the ties with the scissors that hold the handles together and insert the top part of the handle into the bottom. Once together, screw in the two Phillips head screws, charge the batteries and insert into the mower, and operate. I had a 18-year-old self-propelled lawn mower previously and could not believe how much better the Green works ran in my old lawn mower. Also, my lawn looked absolutely beautiful and even which did not occur with my previous lawn mower (although I wasn't aware, until I saw my lawn after this cut). It propels very smoothly and mulches perfectly. As you go up and incline it automatically provides more torque so you're continuously going the same speed. I am very pleased with the performance of this mower from assembly through the first mow. I will do another review at the end of the summer, but really like it so far! The only negative I had was that the box was very very damaged upon receipt and there was a slight ding on the deck, but not worth worrying about, in my opinion. Here are a couple photos of how badly the box was damaged.... I was very glad it didn't seem to affect the product.

            Lawn mower
It’s an amazing mower, battery lasts more than an hour. And with 25 inch deck lawn gets mow faster. Battery gets fully charged in less than 40 minutes with fast charger. Also mower is very silent that’s an awesome feature.

            Glad I bought this one
Mower works great. Batteries last longer than I expected and does a good job cutting. Love the single handle to change blade length. My biggest gripe is that after using the self-propel function you have to push the mower forward a bit to disengage the wheels...gets a bit annoying sometimes. Other than that, I love my new mower.

            Handlebar too high
Ok, just used my new 25” for the first time. Was very impressed with the run time. I have 2/3 of an acre (minus house and pool) and completed the mow with 2 bars left ( of 8 total with 2 batteries). Pictures don’t show it but I have a pretty good slope in the backyard. Only used self-propel a couple of times cuz I like mowing for exercise. Easier to push than my gas mower. After use, haven’t cleared out space in the garage for another mower, but didn’t matter. It folds up very easily, rolls on the wheels like a luggage carrier and stores in very little space. So now the reason for the 3 stars. The whole reason I bought the mower was so my wife could help me mow and get some exercise doing it. I’m 6’1” and the handlebar feels too high for me. My 5’4” wife tried it and said “no way!” When I push it up a hill I feel like I’m pushing the bar over my head and lifting the back tire off the ground. Not sure why it’s so high in the first place but should at least have an adjustment. My shoulders hurt after mowing from having been held so high and pushing at an awkward angle.

So much to love about this machine!
First of all, I love this lawn mower. I have a 2 year old gas powered top of the line lawn mower that's worked great for me. However, because of the size of my lawn (my property sits on 3/4 acre), I wanted something wider than 21" and that is battery powered. I looked at riding lawn mowers but always feel like getting as close to my lawn a possible and sitting, riding around wouldn't do it for me. Enters the 25" Greenworks' Brushless Cordless Self-Propelled Lawn Mower w/ (2) 4.0Ah Batteries and Charger. I had to get on a waitlist to finally get it, and the price went up by then but it made me more determined to get the machine. To be sure, I was skeptical of the brand since I don't own anything from Greenworks and I have other battery powered equipment that I have enjoyed. However, seeing that mainstream retail outlets carry the brand, I was emboldened to give it try. If nothing else, it'll save me trips to the gas station, frustration about disposing of gas at the end of the season, and help with the climate! When it came, it was simple to assemble and get going. I charged the battery fully, although it indicated it had sufficient charge to complete a good portion of my lawn. Once ready to go, it took a minute to figure out the controls but quite simple as I felt completely in control after that first mowing run. Having only owned the mower for about two months, I continue to learn more about it. I enjoy using so much that I mow more than once a week at times now because it's more efficient than my 21" mower and no preparations needed to get started. It's lighter than my old lawn mower and I'm conflicted on whether that's a good or bad thing. Lighter means it is more easily maneuverable with space-saving storage option, but that also makes it a bit jumpy when going over grass terrain that is bumpy, not giving the smoothest mowing look over the grass. But, I don't think twice going over the lawn again because it's fun to do. I suspect that's a trade-of I will accept in light of the other substantial benefits of owning the new machine. Finally, my yard consists of three major lawn areas which could be about 1/2 an acre in total. This Pro 60V 25” Brushless Cordless Self-Propelled Lawn Mower chews through the yard with plenty of juice left in the 2nd of the two 60V batteries. If you're on the edge, I'd say go-for-it! You won't regret it.

mower and I can easily cut my half acre property
I love this lawnmower! It is so easy to use and so reliable and the batteries charge pretty quickly. Quicker than I imagined. I especially love that it came with an extra set of plates. That is really helpful for certain areas of my yard. This is actually my first mower and I can easily cut my half acre property almost entirely with just one charge I just need one more to finish it up and I’m really loving it!

20 percent less time spent mowing, and 80 percent less fatigue!
I just got back in from mowing my hilly connecticut yard, loaded with weeds and various types of grasses (live near a preserve and watershed so i don't use anything on my lawn and let it mostly just do its thing). this thing was incredible in every since scenario it faced. PROS: - the extra width makes a difference. you're basically getting a free pass every 4th pass. This mower makes the job fast. Provided the machine stands up to the test of time, they have a serious winner on their hands on this fact alone. - the deck height level toggle is the easiest and most effective i have ever used on a mower - charge time was amazing. (maybe 1.5 hours at most?) - folds neatly and takes up little space for such a large mower - self propelling feature is as powerful as you need it. even the steepest hills on my property were handled with no issues whatsoever - run time was excellent. handled just under an acre of mowing no issues. you'll want to be sparing with the self propell so as to ensure a complete job on one charge. - tires are well sized with excellent traction - center of gravity is amazing on this this thing. other mowers can feel tippy at times, this thing was planted in even the craziest scenarios. - the dog always barked at my other mowers (even my previous electric one). the dog didn't seem to mind this one at all. weird but cool PRO. - looks cool but not obnoxiously futuristic. - effortlessly cuts through even dense grass. I didn't once detect the machine choking on antyhing, even in spots that had slightly damp 7 or 8 inch grass. - I used to have a john deere lawn tractor to handle our near acre lawn, but ended up selling it because of the hilly terrain. I can honestly say that i would never go back to a lawn tractor again after using this mower. the walk was nice, and i got the job done in almost the same amount of time as the lawn tractor. if you are on the fence between a lawn tractor and a mower, give this one some serious consideration for nearly the best of both worlds, with a 10th the storage space required. -thanks for the metal deck. Too many electric mowers are resorting to plastic for such an important part of the design. this is a safety issue, and it is appreciated that greenworks made the right call here. CONS -rear tires are quite large and can tear up the ground if you turn it too quickly while the self propeller is engaged -i thought the self propelled throttle plastic was a little cheap. maybe this is too prevent painful pinching, but i hope it lasts cause it feels like toy calibre plastic. -doesn't mulch anything very well, so i think you'll want to go with a higher deck height so as not to leave too much grass behind. Although this is an obvious con, I felt like i got more run time as a tradeoff, since the machine wasnt wasting time chewing up grass allowing me to move a lot quicker. -odd and unsettling grinding noise (albeit brief) on startup 1 out of 5 times. - you'll want to take care to avoid any kind of rocks or big roots. while the mower deck is metal, it ain't your grandfathers metal. the mower, is strong, but its not as strong as mowers from 10 or 15 years ago that's for sure, so just be aware that you cant be bull in a china shop with these things.

                  Awesome machine!!!
I'm pleasantly surprised and more than happy with the performance of this machine. Much better than I thought it could be and way better than the last 26" HD Beast that didn't last but one season. I'm able to cut my lawn, see pictures in just over 1/2 hour on one battery. It does a really good job. I haven't tried bagging yet and probably won't. It's a great machine so far and very easy to use.

I'd put this Mower up Against Any Gas Mower
I have used this Mower now three times, and the quality of cut and time it has saved me is unmatched. Once I found the perfect height for my yard on the first cut it has been nothing but the mower I've ever used. I have some very thick areas (even when cutting every 5-6 days) that a Honda gas mower couldn't get through, the Greenworks 25" handles it with no problems. The battery life and speed of recharge is a huge bonus, you can empty one battery and put it on to charge while using the other, it's like having more than 2 batteries (if you pay attention to the battery meter on the handle. If you are in the fence about purchasing this mower DO IT! You will not regret it.

                  Handles my hillside
Bought this mower to cut my sloping 1 1/2 acres rough cleared mountain site. The mower handles the slope easily, even when having to cut straight uphill. The twin batteries switched over flawlessly and powered the mower longer than I wanted to cut in a single session.

Not as quiet as a Tesla but a lot quieter than a gas mower. Nice torque and speed control. So far not bogged down in grass but only mowing winter Rye. Definitely more efficient with 25" width and decent self propelled speed. Also nice to store vertical in tight space. So far, so good. Hopefully will feel the same with summer mowing.

                              I literally went “Green”
I’ve used gas mowers for about 40+ years and finally decided to go “green” and get a battery mower. With so many brands to choose from, there was a very good video showing the 25” dual blade model place in the top categories. I was concerned about how much time I would get with my batteries and so far I only used one of the dual 60v batteries. The extra width and the quiet motors actually make yard work enjoyable. I am now swapping out the remainder of my yard tools to use the same battery platform.
