I have been using OEM LG LT770P filters for an LG LDF9932ST fridge. They are expensive. They usually last me 4-6 months before I have to change to a new one. Based on all the good reviews I see on this site, I decided to try this Home Depot brand because it's about 1/2 price of OEM. I installed the HDX filter on 4/6/22. Today is 5/13/22. The HDX filter lasted 5 weeks. So even though it's about 1/2 the price, for me it's actually twice as expensive. Would not buy again.

This filter worked as well as the more expensive manufacturer part for less money. It did leak when I first installed it, but I am pretty sure that was just due to air bubbles. Once you ran the water for awhile and it stopped sputtering with air bubbles, the leaking also stopped on the inside. That is fairly standard when replacing filters though. The water quality from the filter is good.

The new FML-3 water filter arrived today (2/14/22). It replaces the LG LT700P filter on our LG refrigerator. It was a perfect fit as I have already installed it. Instructions with filter recommends changing every six months. Not sure how long it’s been, but new filter comes with a date reminder tag that you stick to filter. Let’s you know when to change again. It was an easy install. Just open the compartment for filter, tilt the filter down, and pull it out. To install new one, just push new filter in fully, tilt filter up til it locks in, and close compartment cover. Once installed, put a water pitcher under dispenser and run water for a bit. It spit and sputtered a bit displacing air out of new filter. After that water dispensed fine. Easy to do, happy with new filter.

I am very satisfied with the fit, performance, and cost of this filter.

These refrigerator filters by HDX are a good value as they are less expensive than other name brand filters of the same quality. I've been using them regularly and they work very well.This particular one is actually to big for the LG model that I currently own so I'll have to take and trade it in for the correct one. I was assuming that the filter size was the same across all models, so when shopping be sure to match up the correct model No. for your particular brand and model No.refrigerator.

This HDX brand replacement filter is a great alternative to the more expensive LG brand replacement filter. If put side-by-side, they are nearly identical. The only noticeable difference would be the stickers. The function of the 2 filters seems to be the same. Without sending a water sample out to be tested, it appears that the filter is performing as expected. The water is clear, clean, and delicious! This filter bought individually is about 40% off the cost of the LG brand. This product is made in the USA.

We have a Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator that is actually manufactured by LG. I have previously purchased a Kenmore filter from Sears that cost about $50. The price has come down a little since I bought my last one but this Home Depot filter retails for $31.45, much less than Sears. Changing it is a breeze, pull down the filter door, remove the old filter and pop the new one in. Takes about 45 seconds. After running a couple of pitchers of water through the new filter, the water seems the same quality as with the original Kenmore filter.

Seems strange or clunky to install at first, but the directions provided inside the packaging make it simple and easy. Fits easily where it is supposed to, and clearing air from the filter and line afterwards was also simple. Fits my LG perfectly and filters just as well as the original filter.
