such a great idea but really mediocre performance. It resets frequently and has to be completely reconnected any time the power goes off. My main issue is the general frustration of how sporadic the switch controls are. They work to touch about 60% of the time. there will be stretches where is all works fine and then the annoying glitches start again. Also, there are 2 different apps from homewerks. One works well but the other, which is needed to broaden the functions of the device and connect it to you homwerks account does not work with this device. Again, its a great idea and i desperately want it to function well but there is a lot left to be desired. if installation wasnt such a pain i would probably have returned it for another brand.

Customer service sucks! The unit will not connect to the internet and half the time you can’t get it to turn on. Also if you don’t have access above the unit, you will have to do a lot of rigging to mount it.

This fan has been the absolute worst purchase. Our biggest issue has been the touch control and vibration that it acquired after the warranty. The touch pad is not very responsive, a quick tap does nothing, a long press sends it in to programming mode depending on the button, it has to be a "long" tap. It's been a headache, definitely not worth $200. The speaker is low quality too, which seems to be the main point of buying this. I don't know about you, but Alexa isn't something I want to be yelling orders at in the bathroom, so I haven't tested that function.

Did a bathroom remodel and it worked for a while. Instructions were confusing but we figured out eventually. However, even though it was a 2.4 Gig network, it never re-connected after dropping off. We figured out a way to do a factory reset and only use it as a bluetooth speaker now (Pro tip, see page 9 of the instructions) - hold the mic-off button for 5 seconds to bluetooth-only pair. You'll have to do a factory reset first. Fan holes too small and we have to vac to clear. Rust is starting.

Bought this fan a while back. Couldn’t get it to connect to WiFi no matter what I did. Then out of nowhere it started malfunctioning, one minute wouldn’t work at all. One night I woke up middle of the night the light kept turning on & off. I contacted the company about all the issues. Only one they tried to answer was why it wouldn’t connect to WiFi. The answer was bogus. They didnt bothered to try to address anything about the fan & light malfunctioning. Whatever you do DO NOT buy this product.

Have this fan less than 1 year. constantly looses connection and is all rusted. Bad investment. Do not waste your money on this piece of JUNK

I should have read the reviews. It's a terrible product, the app keeps crashing so I can't even set it up after making all these changes to the home wifi - so annoying. Returning it and replacing it with a different light.

Installed two of these and they both worked for one hour. The "switch" they provide to operate the light stopped working on both units. The only way to operate it is to hold the power button down for about 5 seconds and wait for it to turn on. This turns the fan and light on simultaneously. To turn it off, you hold the power button down for another 5 seconds. It's the most aggravating piece of **** I've ever had. Use your hard-earned money to buy something else that will work.

Works great when it works. First unit lasted about a year before it stopped working, customer service was helpful getting us a replacement, but after less than a month of being installed it’s factory resetting itself. Going to remove and just install a basic fan. Not worth the money

I installed this two months ago for my daughter. It started to malfunction saying “Check power source”. Then it works for a while. I turned the breaker off to see if it says check power source. As expected it just goes off. I assume that would be the smart switch causing the “check power source “ issue. After turning the power back on the switch lights up, but doesn’t work. I’m waiting for my son Inlaw to get home so he can try his app.

Cannot connect to alexa or wifi. Sat on hold with customer service with no support - call was dropped after 10 min on hold -

I bought two of these and both disconnected and reset almost daily. I have 100+ smart home items from a tons of brands and this was the most frustrating of any piece I’ve ever bought. Returned both.

Replaced 2X over the course of 13 months. First was DOA, never worked. Returned to HD, second one began to rust after 6 weeks! Constant connection issues even with a 90% connection rate. The fan could not keep up in a 50 sqft bathroom, then the fan died after 10 months. No response from customer support emails, and 5x I called and was put on hold only to be disconnected after 25-35 mins each time.

The unit was easy to install and setup however it constantly loses wifi connection and will alarms can only be canceled by performing a hard reset on the unit. Homedepot will not return after 90 days and we have contacted the manufacturer multiple times however they refuse to refund our money. Do not buy this fan.

The speaker is completely rusted after less than a year and has completely ruined the look in my bathroom.

I’ve been trying to setup this Fan to my phone for the past weeks and I’ve been unsuccessful. I’ve watched multiple videos and it’s been unsuccessful. This is the absolute worst product.

We've only had the fan for two years and its covered in rust. There's really no way to fix it because painting would cover up or block the air intake holes. At install, it was a great fan with great connectivity. We've enjoyed having Alexa and access to music via Bluetooth however, the rust has ruined it. The metal around the fan has rusted to the point that it is just ugly and an eyesore in the bathroom. We hate looking at it & are shopping replacements now. Do yourself a favor & keep looking.

... It has been problematic lately. It was good for about a year but recently it's losing its wifi connection and has to be reset frequently. One thing you want to do is go into your router settings and force the fan to always be on the 2.4 band, not auto. That kept the connection solid for us all this time, so I'm not sure what the issue is now. I hope I don't have to replace it because I didn't have access from above. I had to cut a large hole and re-drywall to install :(

This product is terrible I did 2 bathroom remodels and used this now. They both quit working I can not get ahold of customer service and turns out to be a waste of money because no one get back to me!! Don’t recommend and please to do not buy

Had this fan installed and before I even got to the year mark it was loud and then quit working completely. Already have an Alexa Echo dot with clock in my bathroom and it's way louder than the speakers on this were.

This supposed to be a bathroom fan, so it will be used in moisture environment, but 9 months later the vent holes where air is drawn into the fan is rusting. Second problem is when in shower and fan is running, Alexa can’t pickup your voice

Quite simply it doesn’t work. Worked ok for about a month now everytime you want to just use a button you have to hard reset it multiple times, better off just getting a reliable tan with a switch that works
