This took a little getting used to at first to use, but this thing really does a great job and once you get the hang of it, it's not hard to run. So far we have just used it on our floors but we will be cleaning our windows and cars with it as well, we really like the scrubber head and the fact that it is self standing and takes us so little space.

Don't hate it, but do not love it.. Feels like a glorified swiffer. The water container as well as the detergent container are very small, I had the steamer on a medium setting and only pressed button to steam on the first swipe of my floor scrubbing and the detergent side only lasted for one room. The machine pops a little too easily out of its base and I knocked the base off a couple of times on my first cleaning. It also did not leave a nice fresh smell as I have when I clean with a mop and pine sol. But for quick easy washing it does the trick. I guess I was expecting a steam mop that used a more concentrated steam, this one functions more on pulses of steam. The tools that come with it are very small and it would take a lot of cleaning time to actually clean the grout on a full floor... Found this product to be just average and nothing to write home about. A little pricey for what you get.

The reviews I read were exactly what my experience was. When the machine was working, it was magical; steam-cleaned the floor so well without chemical! I was extremely excited about purchasing the HooverFloorMate StramScrub 2-in-1 Hard Floor Steam Mop! I received it, read the manual and put the mop together as per the instructions! Plugged it in turned it on and NOTHING! It didn't work!! I re-read the instructions consulted with my husband and made sure it was put together probably, it was! I plugged it back in and again NOTHING! I made several attempts to contact customer service at Hoover and was never able to get ahold of them! I returned the steam mop to my local Home Depot and got a different Hoover steam mop! SAME EXACT PROBLEM! My husband put the mop together, I plugged it in and NOTHING IT DIDNT WORK EITHER! I have since purchased a Shark steam mop and it works perfectly! I will NEVER again purchase a Hoover product!!

i like it but the handheld should have a longer tube to clean , it cleans supe great.

The Floor Mate was easy to assemble and has many attachments that can be used on various cleaning projects. Have used only the steamer part of the machine and not sure of the true cleaning ability since the only part of the pad that gets dirty is around the edges and not whole pad.

Easy to use. Comes apart easily to use all the attachments. cord is long which makes it easier to do wider spaces. heats up quick.

So far, I've liked everything about it. EASY and versatile. Almost makes cleaning fun....Really impressed, especially for the price.

Although the product design appears to be an answer to prayer, it is very difficult, tedious and time consuming to use. The only way steam is produced is by holding the trigger but the accompanying booklet advises not to so I'm not sure what the designer of this product had in mind. The handheld tool was also difficult to use due to trying to hold the button down to produce steam while at the same time trying to clean. My previous experience is with the Shark product so I expected the same benefits. This product did not meet my expectations. Hoover customer service was very good though.

Although using it for the first time you have to refill the water for a few times for a large space,the job is satisfactory.

If the steamer came in just in time we have a dog that had diarrhea and it was perfect to sanitize our floors and a rug I love it thank you

Very very disappointed. I was looking forward to using this product, but the very first time I used it i pushed on the handle for the very first time and the handle broke right off into my hand. Now I don;t know what i will do, because i liked the features and price of the item, but if it is made so cheaply that a small woman can't push on the handle without it breaking, i think i have to look for a different brand/model.

This steam mop works great....both of my daughters have one and would never go back to an ordinary mop. When you are looking to buy one, please shop around for the best price.

well i thought the handheld nozzle would be strong enough for the tar in pans but it took most off but not all. didn't work at first. next day it did.

At first, I thought it doesnt't slide good on tiles, but when I got the steam through the pads and for wet, it glided easy. Easy assemble and light.Higlt recommended!
