The App is very finicky and cannot get the controls to consistently work w app

I first bought the liight because it was dimmable and i didnt want full brightness in this location, well the light doesnt have a memory and reverts bact to full brightness after being turned off by regular wall switch, called support they said i needed their bluetooth switch which keeps continuous power to light and then the memory will work I did that and was working fine until we lost power then the switch doesn’t work until you turn the breaker off and on. Took the light and switch out and threw in garbage, bought a regular dimmable recessed retrofit and a wifi Alexa compatible programmable wall switch and couldn’t be happier. Kicking myself for not doing that right away, it was also cheaper than the Halo items and do so much more. Would give zero stars if allowed.

Great product. Whole home solution.

Halo WiFi was easy to connect but somewhat difficult to transfer between owners.

Super easy to install and works GREAT....

If it was also WiFi compatible without the bridge I would give it 5 stars. I was unaware until I tried to set up my Alexa with the lights.

I was sold on the lights because it said no hub needed, just the app. After installing the lights and trying to connect them to the app, I find out that an expensive switch is also needed. I go back to the store and get the switch and have it professionally installed. It too won’t connect to the app. Despite what the help videos claim, the switch and dimmer do not work before connecting to the app. The lights are stuck on unless you pull the air gap switch which defeats the purpose of having the switch in the first place. I’ve called the company multiple times and am told they are having issues with the cloud and they insist that my wiring is wrong which is why the switch won’t manually work. The wiring is exactly how the instructions show it. Unfortunately it is very clear that this is a new product and the kinks haven’t been worked out nor is their support team ready to handle the issues. I’ll probably be returning everything and going with basic lights and switch.

Springs are too weak won’t stay flush with drywall

Works as described. Running on Android S10. My only complaint is that it now has much more of a delay via wifi compared to Bluetooth although having it integrated with my Google home and being able to tell Google to turn the lights off is extreamly handy.

Great for price. But, if you want more control then spend more for wifi. So, costs less so only control from about 15 ft. If you want use wireless like Alexa or Google then you need to spend more and buy the smart Hali ones. Or Bridge.

Its reset to defaults on its own after 2 weeks, i need to return it, suppose to keep setting once programmed using bluetooth.

Easy to use and operate

Installation, connecting to the lights and setting up the zones in the HALO App was easy. I’m quite satisfied with these lights. One issue I noticed is that when only one light is on it flickers but I think this is due to the fact that I’m still using a normal dimmer. I have ordered the HALO dimmers

Great halo home item.

Previously, I replaced the downlight above the shower but it was too bright. My wife disliked it but I couldn't find a mood light that wasn't overpriced. This light solved the problem at very affordable cost. The fact it's dimmable without needing a switch is absolutely perfect. Uses an app. How innovative! I like it bright and my wife like its mood setting. We're both happy.

The drawback to having this is that it means the light can NOT be controlled by Alexa. I think that’s a disappointing oversight. The range of control offered by the switch is not as precise as the App nor Alexa. It is a lot more convenient but I would have liked multiple options.

Installation was simple and fast.Changing color/dim with app is awesome. No more guessing at the store.Need a bit of patience setting up the app; however, after you get through it - works well. All tech issues are solved by restarting app, resetting mesh or turning on/off light switch.

Bought a Halo Internet Bridge on Black Friday to work with my Halo driveway motion light (which I am satisified with.) Looking at the directions there is nothing that states anything about requirements or anything. When trying to add the Bridge to my Halo account, it would always stall out at the section where I enter my Wi-Fi password. Did more digging than I should have had to do to find out that it will only work on the 2.4 Wi-Fi frequency, so I made sure that was the only one broadcasting. Still multiple failed attempts, so I called Eaton support, and got a bunch of attitude from the rep. After 30 min they asked if my Wi-Fi password has a “$” “@“ or other special characters to which it does and was promptly told that it does not work with special characters in Wi-Fi passwords. Returned the Bridge because it is easier and makes more sense to do that than to change my Wi-Fi password to something less secure and change it on all of my devices.

Didn't work with our internet. Disappointing. We live in the country and want to use it with our Halo lights, but our internet was too slow and we couldn't connect.
