We are very sorry for the disappointment with your new end panel. The edges of this should be able to be lightly sanded or trimmed as needed prior to the installation. If your panel shows excess fraying along the edge, a new panel would be the best option to ensure you can move forward with confidence. The team at your local Home Depot can help review your return and re-order options per their Return policy, and we apologize for this added difficulty, Bill.
