Mine was pretty iffy... most may be less troublesome
I just had one of these conduit feed power connectors fail to make contact with the track on the neutral bus bar because evidently the metal contact moved a bit from tightening the screw. 30 aggravating minutes later I figured out what was wrong! :( It's pretty iffy even after rebending the neutral tab. I trust it completely for my 5 LED heads. But I probably wouldn't try to pull an actual 16 Amps continuous through one of these! After figuring out what was wrong, it works and looks fine for my purposes! About the conduit connector knockout: since there IS only one place to connect a conduit, why does this knockout have to have two connection bridges to the housing, why not just one since it has to come out no matter what? In fact, why not just punch the blasted thing completely out at the factory? It would take, what, 5% more energy on the punch? To make it a much nicer product for the installer? Unless of course you want to add knockout(s) on other side(s) of the housing as well... :p

The live ends only insert in to one end of the track making daisy chaining tracks together improbable despite what Hampton Bay says on their support web site. They claim there is NOT a left and right and that this component fits in either end of the track. It does not.

Challenging Install but nice fixture for the price
This is a nice track light set, however in my particular installation I had to purchase an additional part to connect the wiring from the wall to the outlet. The part is called a Conduit Connector, and was around $30, and was a special order piece, not sold in the stores. The box only comes with install from ceiling mount wires. No where in the directions did they indicate an alternative part for connecting. I spent a lot of time on the internet trying to find the proper install. And speaking of install, the directions are not user friendly. They took a simple process and made it confusing. The other issue with the track lights and the reason I would not recommend, is that the track insides have copper lines that are the connectors for the actual light itself. The copper lines are not long enough for the track. When I would slide the connector onto the track it would push the copper and not make a contact. It took taking it apart and widening the track just a little to slide it on the conduit connector and get the connection. Then finally after multiple attempts it worked. Honestly I was almost at the point of taking the entire thing down and returning it! If you were going to connect multiple tracks I highly doubt the copper connectors would be long enough to make the connections work.

    it is too bad...
I can't believe that this product is neither mentioned that it is NOT included or is needed when you purchase the track lighting. MANUFACTURES BIG BIG MISTAKE.

I said "Let there be Light"...and then there was
As an aging baby boomer, I'm finding an increased need for better illumination. I had some track light fixtures but no track. Off to Home Depot. 4' of track, and this connection, some creative wiring, and I "Saw the Light".

Did not know this item was sold seperately.
Would have been good to know this item was not included with the track bar and cost an additional 30 bucks

    Easy to install
My condo has concrete ceilings and the lighting utilizes conduits instead of boxes in the ceiling. This connector was easy to install at the end of the conduit and the track snapped in place with no issues. Looks great and provides power to the new track system.

    Good product, could be better.
First, it would have been nice if the unit provided an optional wire knockout at the back in addition to the end. This would have been much neater looking in my installation. I didn't review the tracks themselves separately One of the two tracks that I bought did not work, and since I started with the bad one, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was wrong. Also, another track had the end pieces missing. The end pieces are not just protection during shipping. They keep the conductors from moving away when you insert the power connector. Otherwise, a good and useful light system.

Track lighting with plug in convenience
A little extension cord type wire and your track lighting can be plugged into a near-by outlet. No special wiring needed; track can be attached to the wall. This one is a one light track that shines into my wood stove from an adjacent wall so I can see how I'm building the fire and where the ashes are when I clean the wood stove out. That corner of the room was so dark that I had to bring in a portable light when I cleaned the stove out.

    Track lighting components
I ordered these components based on a picture. The order process was trouble free, the products arrived quickly and they are exactly as pictured and high quality. I would recomend this site to anyone wanting to save time by not having to visit a store.
