This is a great rug for a runner down a hallway. In the winter rugs always seem to make things warmer. We like the design or pattern and it is of good quality. I think we should have laid it upside down the first week to get the shipping roll out but otherwise the rug is great. I like the thickness of the weave and the rug seems to stay in place. It works well in a high traffic area.

Living in sandy Arizona, we have a lot of tile floors. I like to place a runner at the edge of the bed so I don't climb out onto icy tile. The Home Decorators Collection 2 ft. x 8 ft. (actually 7 ft. 6 in. x 2 ft. 3 in) El Matador Spa Indoor/Outdoor Runner Rug is a pretty teal color and made of sturdy, easy to clean polypropylene. Other color combinations are also available to suit any decor. The rug arrives tightly rolled and I recommend laying the rug upside down until it relaxes. Quality of workmanship is apparent in the hems so I have attached a picture of the well sewn hemmed corner which should resist fraying. At first I thought the price was a little high for a runner, but after inspecting the rug, I have been won over and recommend it whole-heartily!

The rug looks and feels good, but it has a technical and hazardous issue. After a few days I see that both ends are curling up like a dog's tail, which makes it a safety issue and I have tripped on it several times. I cannot make it stay flat to the floor.

This is the perfect rug for my house entrance because the rug is suitable for indoor and outdoor, which means it's going to be more durable and easier to clean than a solely made for indoor rug. We come in with wet and dirty shoes, so I placed this rug right in front of my shoe cabinet. I love the color, it goes well with my décor and wall color in the entrance.

What a striking rug! We purchased for our covered deck, however my wife liked it so well it's getting some time in the house for the winter! The rug was well packed in plastic in a very tight roll. I reversed rolled to flatten and ended up placing books on the edges to completely flatten. The quality is excellent. The colors are bright, the weave is tight and well constructed. This is a heavy weight rug that we expect years of service from!

Home Decorators Collection offers various styles and colors. This review is for the El Matador Aegean 2 which is the one I got. It is advertised as a 2 x 4 ft, however it measures 28” x 53 1/4". On the back though it says 2’5” x 4’5” which equals to 29” x 53”. Not sure what’s going on with the measurements, but it was a perfect fit for my needs. Also, it’s not a perfect rectangle, as one of the ends is not cut straight but rather a bid diagonal – see photos. Not a deal breaker for me though as it’s still a nice rug. The quality is nice and it has a fairly low profile to fit under doors. It is stiff and rugged and should hold up well to wear and tear. I’m not sure if I’d put it outside though exposed to moisture and other elements. I like the print design and the vibrant colors. It came rolled up and needed a bit of opposite bending and a day of being weighted upside down to regain flatness. Overall a nice little rug and I like the style I chose.

I would recommend Home Decor Collection Area Rug. This one measures 2 X 4 Feet, so a great size to place in front of your doorway. I think the colors and design are vibrant and would go in any room inside your home. This rug is Indoor and Outdoor, so placing this rug either in your house or outside is a perfect option. Easy to clean, just vacuum and spray off with a garden hose. The rug ships all rolled up, so leave it unrolled for a few days to get the rug to lay flat.

I was thinking about changing the rug that I have at my entryway to something different. I had a dark tan floral rug at the entryway and when the selection time came to pick my seed product I saw this one and I knew it would be a perfect fit,as far as the color scheme that I have in my living room. The only thing I wish is that it was 3ft X 4ft. It would have fit in the location a little better, no exposed rug bu the wall. It's made of a tough material as far as I can tell. It will hold up well to all of the foot traffic that the area gets. Thank You again Home epot

A very durable rug for most decor, new and old, inside and out! This is well made, of thick fibers sewn together in an attractive pattern. They look and feel like some type of sisal but is outdoor safe. This rug feels heavy duty, like it will last a long time. I have this under the kitchen sink as it's outdoor capability will work well if it gets spilled on. It arrives rolled up and takes quite some time to settle down. So far after two weeks it's just about all the way flat but the edges were still curled. Measured out it is close to specs. Two feet four inches wide and four feet 5 inches long. It's about a 1/4 inch thick. The weave is tight enough that even when placed over thick carpet it doesn't rise up or sink in a lot. The vacuum doesn't grab the smooth rounded edges and cat fur comes off it easily. The green, olive and tan colors look nice with their vivid chevron pattern and will blend in to most styles, modern and vintage. You can get matching rugs in the same patterns and colors which is great. I can heartily recommend this.

Nice outdoor or indoor runner rug, really like the rug but so you all know said is 2 foot by 8 foot it is close said in info on web page 27 inch by 90 inches, well is close 26 inches wide and 90 inches long so is short by 6 inches but for me that is all ok as was not looking to fit a tight space. Other packaging it came in a roll an took 4 days to get out part and another 4 days to get it to lay flat so be forewarned does not come ready to lay with ends curling up. But finally got it to lay flat and is really nice to clean you can just hose it down or use your vacuum. Is made out of Polypropylene so is good in weather unless maybe outside in like far north snow country. Think was a good pick for the shop where I placed it to help clean shoes coming into the house

El Matador Lime 2 ft. x 4 ft. Indoor/Outdoor Area Rug is a beautiful practical area rug. The colors are vibrant and well balanced. Perfect for inside or outside. It works great on carpeted areas, I would recommend a non skid pad to be used on hard wood or tile floors. This area rug is built with high quality materials it is also, very easy to clean. I like this product and I recommend it.

Eye-catching protection from chair for floor area by desk... made of tough polypropylene with vibrant coloring (El Matador Navy). Nominal stated size is 4' x 6' but actual measurement is 3'7" x 5'7" which in my case is helpful because the available floor space beneath my 4' wide desk is only 3'8" so win-win. I also have a bad habit of eating and drinking at my desk so being able to easily clean it by vacuuming or outdoors with a garden hose is also a plus.

I really love the colors of this rug. They're bright and cheerful without screaming at you. The lime green and medium blue can coordinate with a lot of different schemes and the off white stripe holds the whole thing together. It's got a nice soft feel to it and this size is great for a hallway. I wish they would offer it in more size options because I'd get another one.

This is a Riviera brand rug by Oriental Weavers and is a machine woven 100% polypropylene indoor/outdoor rug. The stated 4' by 6' size is actually 3' 7" by 5' 6" according to the rug label. The rug is made in Egypt and has a very dramatic and bold pattern that really catches the eye and attention. It is a thin rug and the manufacturer recommends using a Oriental Weavers rug pad under it even if the rug is used outside. The instructions say it can be cleaned with soap and water and can simply be hosed off and dried.We are impressed with the bold pattern and colors of this indoor/outdoor rug and think it adds a dramatic focal point to our entry way. Available at a very reasonable price, we would recommend this rug as a good buy and nice addition to any home.

The Home Decorators Collection indoor/outdoor area rug in El Matador Aegean looks nothing like the color shown in the bottom two pictures on the website; Aegean is a dark teal with background in beige and navy. Like the other HDC area rug, this needs a heavy object on all four corners to assist in uncurling and in keeping the rug flat; I didn't with this one and it still remains somewhat curled after 5 days. There weren't any odors/new rug smells when it was unraveled from package. To clean, either vacuum without the beater bar or hose off with water and mild solution

The Home Decorators Collection indoor/outdoor area rug in El Matador Grey has tones of cool and beige grey. Since the rug is tightly rolled in plastic packaging, the 2' x 4' rug will need a heavy object in all four corners to assist in keeping the rug flat until the curling is removed; I used dining room chairs on the corners for 3 days in order to get the rug to stay flat. There wasn't any odors/new rug smells when the rug was removed from the packaging. If used indoors, I would recommend either a non-slip rug pad or caulk to keep the rug from sliding; I used caulk on mine and it hasn't budged. Lastly, I love that this rug can be both vacuumed (non-beater bar) and hosed off to clean.

A nice runner style rug with many uses. This El Matador Aegean 2 ft. x 8 ft. Indoor/Outdoor Runner Rug has muted colors with a bold design that pairs easily with most rooms. A great addition to any room at a good value. It can be used in an entry way, hallway, in front of a fireplace and even as a comfortable kitchen sink floor mat. The possibilities are endless. The rug did not have rubber backing so placement on wood floors or smooth surfaces would require a non-slip mat, also available at The Home Depot. The rug arrived rolled inward making immediate placement impossible. I rolled the rug outward for 24 hours for a flat placement. I feel this El Matador Aegean 2 ft. x 8 ft. Indoor/Outdoor Runner Rug is a good value and will compliment most decors.

The El Matador Navy Striped Accent area rug is the perfect fit for our master closet. We recently removed the old dusty carpet and replaced it with travertine tile. We just needed a small colorful deco rug in the closet and this rug was the perfect size. It also added some vibrant color to the closet. The weaving feels great to the bare feet as well. We highly recommended this brand of rug for your home accent area needs.

It is much better than I thought. it looks very nice with a great design and it also feels very good on the feet, since it has a massaging effect of the under feet. Since it is rated for Indoor/Outdoor, which means that it is okay for it to get wet, I decided to put it in the kitchen by my kitchen sink where it can get wet during dish washing. It is a well made area rug, and the price is right. Even though it says 2 x 8 feet.(24 x 96 inches) it is actually 26 inch x 90 inches but still the area is 36 square inches more. I like it and I do recommend it for a dry or wet area.

This rug is thin which is what I want. It didn’t take long for it to flatten out and it’s perfect with my other outdoor decor. It should be easy to clean too.

If this fits your decor this is a good choice as far as durable rugs go. It flattened out pretty quickly and has not curled up in the corners like some cheaper rugs are prone to do. We have this on the floor of our mud room right at our back door entrance. It has held up well to the wet, snow, and whatever else we or our dogs track in. It seems durable enough to be placed outdoors as well.

EL MATADOR GREY 2 FT. X 4 FT. INDOOR/OUTDOOR AREA RUG is a good inside and outside of the house. It looks very sturdy, I just wonder if this will withstand the Texas sun and not fade away. Not too thick, so not much soft cushion if you are expecting it. It is easy to clean. Color is not vivid bright, not to stand out. So if you like something that blends in, this might be the good choice.

I chose the El Matador 2 by 8 ft. indoor/outdoor carpet runner in the color Aegean. I love the color as it's soft but vibrant. The carpet is for my laundry room where people go through to come in and out of the garage. The runner really perks up the room while keeping dirt out of the house. It is a high quality carpet that is flame retardant. It vacuums up beautifully and I think it will look good in my laundry room for a long time to come. I would suggest a rug pad to hold it in place (mine is on a tile floor).

Great quality and attractive area indoor/outdoor rug at a great price. As noted, several nice colors to choose from. This looks like a more expensive rug that will go with many locations in or outside of any home. Shipped in a well wrapped roll (If ordering on-line), just reverse roll it to "flatten out". This process alone highlights the quality of this rug. No matter how YOU use it and where.... It is affordable at HD at a great price point

We have received many compliments on this rug! I currently use it as an accent for a room to give that extra pop of blue color in a stylish way. This rug can be used inside or outside which I love the versatility. For the winter I plan to move this rug to the entrance way to trap any water and slush from the snow off of boots. This will be an inviting rug for the entrance of our house!
