A great fan with a few minor deductions
We own a new home and paid extra to have it wired with two wall switches to run the fan and light separately. When we pulled out the directions to install the fans, the directions showed only the blue light wire and the fan black wire being wired together with the hot wire from the ceiling. We have two hot wires. Called Home Decorators, but said they couldn't tell us anything more than the instructions showed for liability reasons. For YOU, blue and black wires can be separate; works fine!

Nice upgrade
Easily installed, stylish and quiet fan. It took less than an hour to remove the old fan and install this one. Price was attractive as well.

Don't buy
I have had this fan for a few months. Last night, it was on and a blade snapped off, flew through the air, and almost hit my son and nephew. We examined and it had broken in two pieces, with some remaining in the fan. The blade is made of some kind of MDF particle board.
This fan replaced one that had been upgraded for aesthetics, but had worked without issue for decades.
