Installation instructions are horrible. Also -- as a light fixture -- it is relatively heavy so be aware of that. IT DOES TAKE TWO PEOPLE to mount the fixture. I like the way it looks but I would NOT have bought it knowing how difficult it was to assemble and hang and how heavy it is without additional mounting hardware to make sure it is safe. The only thing holding this to the ceiling is those two little knob screws. I may go get some lock nuts to put on behind those. I do agree that using the LED type light bulbs would be best because the best way I practiced changing the bulb was putting my hand in over the top vs unscrewing the heavy glass bottom pane (which could prove difficult to put back on). There are small plastic spacers in the sides of the glass panels and the screws -- be sure you don't lose any of those because there are NO SPARES in the box (which I found unusual -- cheap to add a few). I had one split and become unusable so I had to improvise to replace. Installed 4/15/2018

Easy to assemble, although having a second set of hands is helpful. Looks amazing I’m our guest bathroom and with the use of LED bulbs we’re able to use a brighter bulb which definitely brightened the room. Plan on purchasing a couple more for other areas of our home.

I only kept this fixture because looks beautiful other than that I'd give no stars. This item comes unassembled, and it's very hard to install. The bracket it came with did not fit the box in the ceiling, I had to run to HD to buy a different one. It also sits further down from ceiling vs showroom

I used this fixture as a closet light. It's very bright. What I needed.

Like the look in a small front living room. It goes well with a polished nickel lantern we bought for the front entry way. However, I agree with some of the other folks who said that the install wasn't that easy. My husband, who has installed many light fixtures and a true DIY-guy for many years, commented on the installation. He also needed my help to put the drum shade on and we struggled a bit with the bottom glass plate; challenging to get that leveled.

It does a fine job of lighting and looks good. It replaced an older fixture in my kitchen which hung down much farther.

I agree with another commenter who mentioned that it's very difficult to get the three glass panels to line up with the rectangular brackets. After we finally had the fixture assembled and mounting plate installed, one of the glass panels cracked as we were trying to lift it up. Fortunately Home Depot gave us full credit for the return and we were able to get another fixture. We were really excited by the modern look of this fixture and wish it would've worked out.

I like the high tech look of it and the light output is very nice- bright but still soft. The installation was a nightmare. You need a second person to hold the light while another person is on the ladder attaching the mount. Also, try to make a nice ring out of THREE round glass parts that you have to connect with straight metal plates. And don't chip the glass. See? We weren't able to make a nicely rounded ring, so one of the plates didnt line up with the plate on the mount. You actually can see it on someone's pictures here. After you are done, and it is up, you will have to polish the nickel, metal parts because they will be covered with your fingerprints. And it is not an easy part since the glass will be in your way. So, save yourself some neurons and time and buy a similar one with an already made drum part. Good luck!

Don't like being able to see lightbulb through the fixture

Poor build quality, even worse instructions. The finishing nuts were threaded for the incorrect screw. They're meant for the "support screw" but don't fit, instead they fit the "mounting screws" used to secure it to the junction box. They're even screwed onto the "mounting screws" when new in box! The light fixture that comes pre-assembed wasn't square with it's bracket, the washer was visibly off-center and bulged out one side. As a result, the downrod wasn't level and the glass bottom wasn't able to be leveled. Incredibly frustrating. Don't waste your time.

This is beautiful light in our newly renovated master bath! Light bulbs a bit difficult to change, so use halogen bulbs.

It provides good light without getting hot.

Very nice light, brighter than expected and make the bathroom look updated and refreshed.

My mother picked out this light to replace an old light in the bathroom. It's not your typical bathroom light but it looks awesome installed. I am not a pro but I have installed 20 lights and or ceiling fans this was the hardest install.

WE LOVE THIS FIXTURE! LED lights not a problem as the electrician suggested to make sure our dimmer switch was compatible ( and it was ) . We purchased more lighting from the home decorators collection and we are very pleased!

Installed this in a bathroom and it is beautiful. Must have gone up easily. Didn't hear complaints from my husband

This is a beautiful light fixture! It was easy to put together. However, installing the final two screws was a bit of a challenge to do alone. Normally, you would screw the screw into the ceiling. With this design, you put the screw from the lightbox and you have to line up the screws with the holes on the light base and then secure it with two spheric screw caps. It's a challenge upon a challenge, especially when you drop the crew cap. Other than installation, I like the look and the functionality of this. I would recommend this product, but if you're not handy, you should get someone else to install it. Or get someone to help you.

Without question, the most poorly designed and documented trash that I have had the misfortune to buy in a long time. Where does it say ASSEMBLY REQUIRED on the box? Three sections of glasses with badly described brackets. Do the bracket go right side up or down? Instructions simply say attach to box in ceiling (not supplied!!). Instructions were written by a pinhead. Design is so flawed that even with two people, there is no way you are getting the light attached to your bracket. Save yourself some serious aggravation. Steer CLEAR.
