This outdoor light is an excellent choice for the DIY homeowner. Our older home is always needing upgrades and maintenance. This Home Depot "HOME DECORATORS COLLECTION WILKERSON WALL LANTERN" is the medium size of the three offered in this collection. It is the ideal selection for the front our added garage. There are many pros and very few cons associated with this lighting choice. A few of the pros most important to us are: The fixture is attractive with a classic design and attractive "seeded glass" globe. The "COLLECTION" includes 3 sizes with identical looks; gives a harmonious look to our home. The fixtures are weather resistant and ETL "WET RATED", suitable for any outdoor use; covered or not. The fixtures arrive essentially fully assembled and they are very easy to install. The fixtures aer painted cast aluminum, a very durable and long lasting construction. I actually found no notable cons. A couple of installation problems have been noted in some of the feedback reviews. One of the most notable is the length of screws provided. I found from my DIY that the mounting screws provided are adjustable and can be made longer or shorter. The same goes for the caped assembly screws. Seeded glass should also be handled with extra care because the same bubbles that give it extra beauty tend to make it a little more delicate. I have provided photos and a short demo video to hopefully assist the potential buyer.

This is a very nice light fixture. They provide you everything you need for installation. We used this to upgrade a porch light. Our home has lap siding. As such, we created a mount for all exterior wall mounted lighting. this provides you a flat surface without the gaps that this type of siding has. Before mounting the new fixture, we sanded and repainted the mounting surface. Fixtures tend to leave impressions and paint discoloration from the mounting plate. Sanding and repainting removes these marks. The light installation is very simple and easy. As you can see, it looks very charming when installed.

WARNING - The design of the glass shade and frame assembly is supposed to secure the wall mount upper assembly by way of a finial that screws onto a threaded piece. Problem is the light is supplied with one hex nut and the threaded rod needs 2 hex nuts to secure it to the assembly so the finial can mount to it. We bought 6 of these for a reno project on our house and i am having to go to the store to purchase 6 hex nuts to secure this. They missed this in the design. I would buy the light again but the manufacturer should be told of the issue.

I bought this light to replace one of five on my patio. I dropped the glass while changing the light bulb and was horrified since I had bought the five a couple of years ago, I wasn't sure that I was going to be able to find a replacement and would have to change all five so they would match. I was so thrilled when I found these that I bought two just to have another replacement on hand should this happen again. So happy with my new light!

These Wilkerson porch lights replace rusted out of style 90s lights. Very satisfied. They come in S Med Large, like 12, 16 and 21 inch versions. The mediums fit my house with low overhang perfectly.

Well made and easy to complete its assembly. Looks great on our freshly painted house.

This is a beautiful light fixture. It produces a lot of light because of the clear glass. We are extremely pleased with this purchase.

This was one of two lights I requested through the Home Depot Seeds reviewer program to update the lighting outside my home to give the appearance of a more modern look without overshadowing the traditionalistic look of my home. When opening this product, I was very please to find that it was almost impossible to find any plastic parts. The wall plate, wall mounted fixture part, hanging fixture part and clear globe were constructed entirely of metal or glass. Infact the only plastic parts are the wire nuts (which have to be part plastic to perform their function) and the nuts that hold the main parts together on the outside (which is nice so you don't cut your fingers loosening/tightening them). The old fixture was removed in about 10 minutes and the new one installed in its place in about another 5-10 minutes. I didn't have another Daylight LED bulb to insert in this new fixture for the pictures, but I think it really meshed well with the style of my home from the outside. I definitely recommend this for anyone with a rustic or older looking home to give it a little more modern look.

I requested this light and a similarly styled smaller outdoor light to replace two older outdoor lights that had seen better times and were having issues with keeping Outdoor LED Daylight bulbs lit during colder months and were causing the LED bulbs to lose their ability to shine at the higher lumen rating. Granted, it probably wasn't the best idea to install this light on a 30 degree day with moderate winds on the side of the house that acts like a wind tunnel (Brrrr!). But after about 20 minutes (removal of old light and old wall plate, install of new wall plate and new light) the installation project was completed and I tested the light. Everything was great and the original Daylight LED bulb shone a lot brighter in the new fixture. The bubbles in the glass also gave the light a nice accent and overall I was quite satisfied. The only downside to the fixture was the short bolt shafts that secure the hanging portion to the wall portion. The shafts had no means by which to really secure themselves to prevent them from continuing to turn, though this didn't prevent them from being tightened down as required.

I bought two of these wall mounts to replace the old ones that were mounted on either side of my front door. Installation was pretty straightforward, even though I have no real prior experience dealing with electrical wiring in my home. Only issue I'm having is thinking these lights are too bright with the 60 watt "energy saver" bulbs I put in. Looks beautiful, though.

Fabulous product and they look great! We had just recently painted our house and these just look great with the new paint job! I highly recommend them!!! It's nice that they come in 3 different sizes to choose from to fit the area that you need it in. I used one small and two medium ones which were perfect!!

So great that this model still exists. Our outside light of 25 years finally cracked and happy to replace a matching sconce!

Easy to assemble and I love the design to drain out any accidental water etc.
