The center wheel disintegrated after one coat of semi-transparent stain. The wheel needs to be a different type of material.

I have a bad back and really thought this would be the answer to my prayers. It worked well until I got a third of the way through staining my deck when the wheel lost it's tension and wont stay down. Can't figure out why the wheel is staying up all of a sudden? Anyhow, I had to resort to hand painting between the boards. I read the reviews and a lot of people complained about the pads falling apart so I ordered a refill to have on hand, unfortunately, for me it was the wheel that gave out. And I can't even run out to purchase another one because I had to special order this from Home Depot and I don't have the time to wait. Wish this was made of better quality.

Does not drop between deck board spaces. Pads stain applicator separated from front of pad the first day. Looks good in the commercial but does not work as advertised.

Worked well until pad came off, Returned to Home Depot as defective product.

Roller never really worked. Pad started to come off applicator half way through staining. Still needed to cut in with brush. Would recommend a good pad applicator in stead.

This is a pretty neat tool. I thought it would be even MORE magnificent, BUT it did the job... with limits. I wish there was a way for that wheel to drop lower between the boards, as I can still see the wood color (I stained my deck with a semi-transparent grey stain.) Other than that, it did a great job for me. I could never have done this by my 60-year-old self without it.

i bought this item. I was very unhappy with it. it was very hard to push the stain through it, so it came out in glops and there was a lot of waste of the stain. The stain dissolved the glue on the pads, so the pads came off the stick. And the wheel would not reach all the way down into the cracks of the deck boards. I ended up using a paint brush and a roller. So I wasted my money. I do however think that this is a good concept but it needs a lot more work on the engineering of it, starting with the pads. they need to snap on not be glued on. and maybe the tube that delivers the stain needs to be bigger. As it is now, No don't but this item.

Returning this item. Hard to work with ,bottom not thick enough and shreds. Not a good item. Saw home time with this and looked good. Sorry disaster

I bought this but still ended up painting by hand. The roller didn't get in deep enough in between the deck boards. I was painting it a different color and you could see the roller didn't go that far down. If they could have had the roller deeper it would have worked.

Having to stain more than 1600 sq.ft deck area, the DECK PRO WITH GAP WHEEL STAIN APPLICATOR, was purchased, with the purchase of a replacement pad-as backup. The concept/design of this unit seems to logical. HOWEVER, the performance of the unit is POOR for the following: 1. The "gap wheel" became"fuzzy", mis-shaped, ineffective LESS THAN HALF-WAY THROUGH THE PROJECT. 2. The WIDTH the "pad" would be more efficient IF THE PAD WERE WIDER. Good idea, but utility is woefully inadequate, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND-wasted money. M. CROSS

The wheel doesn't get down between the boards far enough and after staining 1/3 of the deck the pad came unglued and the spring on the wheel lost it's tension. Had to go back to roller and brush to finish the deck and I"m out my $18. And because it's a non-stockable item at Home Depot we had to order it on line and to save shipping fees, drove 50mi one way to pick it up at the store. Good news is, we found some plants on sale for 1/2 off while we were there.

I have a large vintage deck, built around 1980 and still standing. Product pad was not thick enough to apply stain product and easily shredded. Wheel to go between boards good idea in theory for evenly spaced boards, but not practical for me. I ordered on line. If I would have seen in store in person, would not have purchased due to durability factor.

The Deck pro with Gap Wheel applicator works real well, made the job a whole lot easier. I wish I found this the last time I did my deck.

The wheel was not thick enough to cover both sides of wood in between the deck boards without repeated efforts. The wheel needs to be thicker to absorb more stain and fit more snuggly between the boards. But it is faster than using a paint brush.

This is a good product that I wish I would have invented. I used it to re-stain my decks and it worked as advertised. It probably cut down the time I spent staining by 50%. The pads seem to work great for about 200 sq ft and then they don't absorb as much stain but they still work it just takes a few more dips in the pan.

My husband had tried numerous back breaking ways to paint with the 10X Deck Paint between the boards of our deck-finally decided to go online and google for ideas-came upon this almost immediately-found out it could be delivered within a few days to our local store for free
