My order was not the same as the picture shown was not ULTRA HUMIDIFIER PAD in a red box. The pads were in a white box see picture.

Easy to find in the store. Package clearly marked with matching humidifier model numbers. Perfect fit.

Red rust colored mold is growing on the pad after just 8 days when I moved into this new house. The heating and A/C are recent. I called their help line at 1-800-468-1502 and they were responsive but not helpful. They suggested three things. 1) That it might be that the A/C evaporator coils might need cleaning. I just checked and it is spotless--you could eat off it. 2) That the inside of the unit might need cleaning. It also is absolutely clean. 3) That the water supply was not good. City water. We have no other problems. The only place in the entire house, heater, A/C, ductwork that red mold is growing on is on their "antimicrobial" pad.

Product was easy to install, fit as required, overall a good seasonal required item and value. Simple basic instructions for installing in the Honeywell HE260 replacement pad. HOW TO INSTALL> Turn off the Furnace and humidifier control to off but note prior setting @ dial is set, screw the small water supply valve that supplies the water normally near by at a pipe, just screw it IN not very tight, this is now the off position, next remove the humidifier plug from electric outlet, disconnect the small plastic square like electric harness plug that has (6 small colored wires in it) by pulling the plastic plug straight out don't pull on the small wires, you may want to make a small marking pen mark prior on the harness plug to socket so you return it same easy way for easy reassembly. Now unscrew the (1) front main cover screw @ the bottom edge center only until it doesn't fall out , lift cover upwards from bottom like your opening a window, place the cover close by until ready to install. Now look at the pad it's in a plastic frame and lift it up slightly and out, you will have a small water supply black rubber hose attached at the top. carefully remove (pull off) small hose were its attached to plastic fitting but this in not required. Simply remove the plastic frame apart at upper side edges so it opens like a U, remove old pad and install the new one back same way as old one, up or down or turned around still the same! Reinstall top plastic piece to sides and if needed connect small rubber hose as you put it back in main unit again. Reinstall supply hose along the right side and top corner were the rubber hose installs out of the way. That's it!! Now reverse back the same way you removed and disassembled. I suggest you take pictures with your cell phone your disassembly so its easy to look what you did much easier to relate. Yes, I only reinstalled my current pad back at this time. Replacement is vinyl. Original was metal,not sure that makes a difference? Fits nice and appears to work as expected

Once I learned that the filter could be replaced without replacing the frame around it, going to Home Depot and purchasing replacement filters made it possible for me to keep clean filters humidifying my home all winter long.

The Anti-microbial coating does not seem to work. After just 2 months of cold weather it developed a pink mold--the kind you sometimes see in a bathroom on grout. I added a picture. I purchased this product (Honeywell HC26P Whole House Humidifier Pad) at Home Depot.

This is the required filter for the whole house humidifier. It is easy to install, but is not easy to cross reference for a generic version. it would be helpful if we could purchase a reusable version.

Great price Easy to load and unload. Saved $80 from having a HVAC company do the install.
