perfect fan for a small room/bedroom. Had 3 of them installed in bedrooms and they look great. The fan blades can be installed with either side showing, faux dark wood or matte silver. The only downfall is they do not have a remote option. We had switched installed on the wall for the fan, but in order to change the speed setting you need to use the pull string.

Arrived and I had an electrician install. Installation was easy. Fan is attractive and seemed to work with both pull chain and remote to low, medium, and high speeds. Unfortunately, the fan produced almost no air flow on our porch where it was installed. Standing just 3 to 4 feet under the fan I could feel no airflow on high setting. Boston fern hanging 2 to 3 feet below showed no movement. Re-read other reviews and found others found same thing. Fan was set for downdraft with counterclockwise rotation. Will try to attach short video.

Really great fan. Just the right size for our smallish front porch. It is the right blend of modern and traditional.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a relatively small guest bedroom, so this 44 Inch Fan is the perfect size I chose black, three blades. I didn't want anything that grabbed your eye as you walked in. My bedding is black and white so it meshes nices. Only change I would make is, a remote control would have been easier than having my guests climb on the bed to turn it on.

It came in a well packed box all items were in separate compartments it makes it very nice to have the parts separately when putting it together. This is made from high quality materials. Its looks are impressive. I am installing it in my bathroom where it is damp a lot and this fan is made for just that purpose. The blades are reversible you can have the maple side or the silver side i think its nice you can change the look of the fan by just turning the blades over. All parts are of great quality everything is heavy and looks very good. It is fairly simple to install They even give you very good directions. I like it has 3 different speed settings, It has a nice pull chain for great convenience The motor is heavy to the touch so i know i is made well. It uses very little energy which is great . I feel its a great value and well worth it. The price is great and the warranty is a plus. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a gorges fan that can be used in dampness.It is a great design that looks great.It runs very quiet and keeps air moving steadily

And I am very excited about it, I like that it is designed to withstand humidity, I live in Colorado where the climate is variable so this fan is perfect for my patio as it will withstand different climates. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hunter Cassius 44 inch fan only took about an hour from start to finish to hang. It has the option of switching which way you use it clockwise in the winter or counterclockwise in the summer. It includes a pull chain for quick and easy on/off speed adjustments; with its 3-speed whisper wind motor. My husband hung this in our spare bedroom and it fits perfectly! We are thinking about getting a light to hook up to it as it has the capability to do this. It is very elegant and will look great anywhere you need an extra fan. I would highly recommend this style of a fan for your porch or any room inside of your home.

Got this to put on our screened area next to our garage. It arrived in very good shaped and quickly. We had to wait for our son who knows electrical to do the wiring for us, but if you already have a ceiling light in an area like this, that is not necessary. Installation was easy, you may need a fan brace which is available at Home Depot. the remote makes it very easy to use, and very conveinient.

A no frills 44 inch, 3 blade white ceiling fan with 3 speeds. There is no remote control with this fan. It is turned on and off, and the speed is selected by pulling a single chain repeatedly. The motor is reversible only by flipping a switch that is located on the fan’s motor. There is no light kit with this fan. This is only a fan. It is rated for outdoor use so it is nice for an outdoor covered patio. The fan has 3 speeds and runs fairly quiet. The fan blades are White on both sides. The mounting plate has rubber feet on it to prevent any sound transmitting from the fan to the ceiling. This helps make for a quiet running fan. Always make sure that the electrical box is installed correctly and rated for a ceiling fan installation. I spent a lot of time attempting to balance the fan. I could not get it to run anywhere near balanced. I even took off all three of the fan blades and ran it to see if the motor was out of balance. It ran smoothly without the blades so the wobble is in the blades. I may have to weight each blade and attempt to balance each one individually before attempting to balance them on the motor. I had to settle for good enough. It is because of the out of balance situation that I am only giving this fan a 3 star rating.

Modern look, perfectly sized for small room, but major fail…it hums. I installed this Hunter 44” fan in a bedroom. It’s a complicated install, with many parts but the instructions are well written and lots of illustrations. Took about an hour to install. Only issue was two of the fan fixing screws (of 9 supplied) had excess chrome build up preventing screw driver tip from seating properly (see photos). Still this was minor. It was a perfect size for a 10x14 bedroom. I was concerned it might be too small to be effective but it moves a decent amount of air. I like the minimalist look. Doesn’t look like it should be in a Victorian bed and breakfast like so many of them do. But they did not pay enough attention to the motor design of this fan. The motor has a noticeable hum. On high speed the whirl of the blades covers it. But on medium and slow you can hear it. Annoyingly so. Deal breaker in a bedroom where you want a silent fan to sleep. Might be OK for an outdoor patio but they should not advertise it as indoor fan. For this design shortfall I rate it a “C-“ grade.

Cassius 44 in. Indoor/Outdoor Fresh White Ceiling Fan I was so happy to find this smaller fan that is perfect for the small room in which it will be installed. It is very clean looking in all white with its updated sleek look. The blades reverse from solid white to a natural blonde wood look, which just happened to match two pieces of furniture in the room. When the blades show the natural wood they pull the room together nicely. In our marine climate we have more than average corrosion problems with any metal objects outside and even inside our home because of the salt air. We chose this fan because it is damp rated and can better withstand our damper air. Hunter fans have earned a good reputation, and this fan works quietly and is well balanced, so there is only a smooth and quiet movement. The only problem I had was, I found no option for removing the chain and working the fan on a wall switch. I did not take off a star since that was not stated as a feature of this ceiling fan, and it lived up to all it’s other descriptions.

I got the Cassius 44 in. Indoor/Outdoor Fresh White Ceiling Fan due to it being a Indoor/Outdoor fan. IT can be safely be used in covered porches and patios. The weight is listed as 13 Lbs + or - 2 lbs, It has a control pull switch for the fan speed and a reverse switch in the cover where lights would go. A light kit is NOT optional, and it does not come with a remote control. It can be mounted with a longer down rod, as well as be mounted on a angled ceiling, if it is mounted on a ceiling with a angle of 34 degrees or greater, it will need a angled mounting kit. the long down rod and kit are both available from the manufacturer. Mounting should be 30 inches away from the nearest wall and 7 feet off the ground. Instruction with pictures are included including how to mount on a angled ceiling. The motor it self has a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser only and 1 year on all of the other parts. When mounted to a flat ceiling it is 11.3 inches deep off the ceiling to the cap where lights would normally be. Max Airflow (CFM) 2043, has 3 speeds.

Simple, solid, and effective. Right off th bat, I like the minimalist, nearly industrial look of this fan. Sometimes you just don't need ornate glass globes and a bunch of bells and whistles. This one fit that bill perfectly. Its simple, clean, modern and well designed. Feels solid and the metal doesn't feel thin and cheap. There were some challenging moments during install. Installation instructions are a little all over the place and the assembly is a bit extra. That being said, I got it installed with no hiccups and it moves the air around well and is whisper quiet.

One thing every deck needs is a fan and the size of your deck determines the size of the fan !! This 44 in. HUNTER Cassius Ceiling Fan was perfect for my deck. I love the reversible 3 blade simple design, 3 speeds, Cool Matte Silver Finish, pull chain on/off, no light on this one and I didn't need one in my location, but you'll have to see if a light kit is available, if needed !! You get 3 mounting options, very versatile depending on your ceiling !! This fan is an indoor/outdoor covered fan and will give you that nice calming breeze on your deck or any small room in your house !! It's easy to install with the directions in about an hour and very lightweight, so you can do it yourself, I like that, and it's very well made, Looks Great, will last for many years to come and Makes a Great addition to any room your house, inside or out !!

Got this to use in a master bath. The 44" blade size is just what I was looking for for this project since I was limited by the tray ceiling, and I didn't want to use a longer downrod. I like the color of this fan (I got the matte silver finish) and the overall appearance. The blades are reversible with matte silver on one side and a wood grain (roasted maple) on the other. It was relatively easy to assemble and mount (no different than most other ceiling fans). Just remember to use the spacers before mounting the fan blade mounts (why they don't just modify the design so you don't need spacers is a mystery to me!). The fan has three speeds (low, medium, high) and functions rather smoothly and quietly. Overall I think it's a great design and a great product.

I chose this product because of the quality of Hunter fans, I have several in my home. The instructions were easy to follow with the part bags marked for different applications. You can install this fan in three different ways (short or long down rods and angle ceiling). You have a reversible motor and the blade are reversible also. This is for damp rated use (outdoor) or you can use it indoors also. This has 3 blades and is quiet with low energy use. I chose the fresh white for my outside deck and you have the option for a remote or a light kit. I have had my Hunter fans in my home for over 10 years and they still look new and several have remotes that work great. Thanks again Hunter for your great products.

This outdoor fan is quiet which is what I expect from a Hunter brand fan. Easy instructions and sturdy blades. I hope it holds out for a while out under my pavilion. I was going to put a light somewhere else because this fan does not have the ability to put a light kit on it. That's okay because I like that this fan is very flush to the roof. It does have three mounting options. Low, standard, and angled. It has three speeds. The blades are reversible from gray to a maple color.

The fans were just installed today and I LOVE them!! They replaced two original ceiling fans in the aisle of the horse barn and I cannot believe the difference! The rafter is roughly 11'6" above the floor. The recommendation is that the fan be installed 7' above the floor, but with horses using that aisle, I didn't feel safe putting them that low. I used an 18" downrod, so they are roughly 3' higher than recommended, yet I can still feel the air blowing all the way to the floor! I was totally amazed! Now I'm going to price the larger size to replace the original fans installed in the horse stalls. I couldn't be happier with this product ....and I bought two, so it isn't a one-off lucky buy.

Good product for the price

very nice well built fan...was little disappointed with the balance...the first Hunter fan I have purchased that needed balancing. The main reason I paid more for the Hunter brand was because the last 3 Hunter fans I installed were all very well balanced.

This is a fine fan for what it does. I like the droop-less blade option. Installation hardware is well organized. However, Hunter chose to exclude the proper machine screws to mount the unit to a ceiling box. They included long wood screws as an option (why?) but the mount design requires longer machine screws (roughly 1 1/4") than those typically included with a fan mounting box, and those should have been included in the hardware kit.

There was no light on this fan. It is only a fan. I returned it.

A little tricky to install. The hanging part has to be just right in order to tighten the two cowl screws. The fan motor is somewhat noisy at all speeds.

Had this fan installed in primary bedroom of home, but it could not adequately handle the 16x19 room size. Changed the fan into my daughters bedroom and it worked great in the 12x12 room.

Light weight easy to install very quiet and powerful. Perfect fit for our bathroom.
