I just started using the remote control

Does everything I need it to, but a few thing I wish were smoothed out a bit- Controls take some getting used to. Dimming the light is especially confusing. Also the fan doesn’t respond in an especially snappy way after I hit a button.

I like the size of the remote. I just don’t know how to turn the fan off. I push the down arrow continuously in order for the fan to go off. I like instant off/on.

I purchased 5 of the Sea Wind to put in my home after a complete remodel. These fans are great! Quite cooling, and on high they crank out the airflow!

One of our grandchildren hid the remote so we had to replace. This replacement required some DYI wiring to the receiver but the instructions were clear. Works well!

This is a great fan, very quiet and moves air very well. Assembly and install were very easy as it was replacing and existing fan. Balanced on first attempt! It is quite attractive also.

It didn’t work with my fan. When you install with this, the fan didn’t work. But taking this device off, the fan works perfectly. But no remote. I need to find some other remote that works. I return this right away.

We bought 3 of these for our covered patio. We added a light kit to one. Installation was simple and they work wonderfully.

I purchased six of these fans for a new construction build. 14-3 wire was run from each fan box to the corresponding single gang switch. I installed Lutron Diva 3-speed fan control with sing-pole switch (model # DVFSQ-F-WH) as I have done on numerous other projects. Upon installing the fans and switches I noticed that one of the fans seemed to be operating irregularly. When the light was off and the fan was on the lights appeared to have a slight glow. When I adjusted the speed to a higher setting the lights would flicker. I contacted Hunter Customer Service and was told that their fans do not work with any switches and I should purchase remote kits for all fans. This seems like there is a huge problem if Hunter fans need a remote to operate correctly and do not interface with any manufacturer's switches. What is more aggravating is after reviewing the installation manual it shows wiring the fan to a switch using 3 wire and makes no mention that Hunter fans do not interface with any manufacturers switches. So either I need to go by 6 remote kits or 6 new fans from a different manufacturer. What a waste of time and money!!!
