very good tool and price is good too

I'm sure they make more expensive pickaxes but this one was great. I used it to dig up a sprinkler line for a landscape remodel. The tool part is firmly fixed to a steel rod coated by a very durable and somewhat pliable, plastic handle. I'd definitely buy it again!

I handle is definitely better than wood handle

Nice beast for digging in rocky soil when a shovel just won’t cut it. Definitely need the 5 pounder not the lighter one. Old style had wooden handle easily replaced with the head just slid on. This is bonded fiberglass. So better not break it or you’re buying a whole new one instead of a new handle. Will have to see how it holds up.

Great Tool good quality

Heavy enough to do a good job but light enough not to tire. Good angles on pick and hoe to sink into the ground easily on each swing. Definitely recommend if you are laying shallow pipe or loosen dirt to move.

Broke first day using it

I needed it, i bought it, and I used it. It helps break up hard ground, easier to shovel up.

Very easy to use and gets the job done!
