In working as a plumber throughout my 20’s, I have fairly extensive experience with Insinkerator disposals, and will gladly say they are generally amazing products. They do make cheaper models that will last as long as something in their price point should, but the stainless models are extremely long-lived. For average use, even their cheap models are adequately powerful, and I can’t imagine the more powerful models ever having difficulty in grinding food waste. The newer designs are very quiet, well-balanced and very low vibration. As always, they are easy to install, using their long-proven mounting design. Maybe other companies make quality units too…but I’ll never install any other brand; this company has earned my trust and will keep it. I recently installed a batch-feed stainless model in my own house, and was surprised to see rust forming on the blades….but this doesn’t appear to be getting worse, so I’ll assume it’s just a remnant of the manufacturing process. In all, they are excellent products and I’d highly recommend them.

I love this garbage disposal. 1) it’s convenient to use the magnetic stopper instead of using a wall switch to turn it on, 2) it’s amazingly quiet, 3) it performs exactly as stated. It’s perfect.

We use this disposal in our church kitchen. It’s good to handle large amounts of scrap food while being quiet. Installation was a breeze and no new wiring for electricity was required as this unit doesn’t need a wall switch.

30 years ago our disposal broke at our beach house and the plumber told my mother that a new one would not hold up in the salt air environment. after three decades of scraping plates and clogging the sink, my son and I bought this one and installed it without asking. This one was more expensive but I didn't want to deal with wiring a switch because the plug outlet was there. First time installing and we did it on under 2 hours. 7 year warranty and my mother, wife and entire family is delighted.

Cons: I do not like the design of the bulky drain stopper which is why I gave it only 2 stars. Our old Inskinkerator had a metal stopper that had a raised opening that allowed you to wash small food particles into the disposal while it was running. The new design allows only very minuscule food particles to be washed into the disposal during operation. So now I have to turn off the disposal and remove the stopper just to wash down a few missed food particles and then turn it back on. Picture shows a flattened pea that the stopper prevented from going into the disposal during operation. Pros: The disposal is very quiet and because the drain stopper is not metal, it's easier to clean and won't scratch my Corian sink. My husband said it was easy to install. I would still recommend this product because I always prefer batch feed over continuous feed.

This unit is SO quiet! The running water is louder than the unit working. We have been very happy with our unit, we use it for a good variety food garbage and this disposal has handled it all, very well! I haven't experienced any drain clogging, where our old unit would have been backed up by now. We enjoy the fact that we can talk while it is running. We, no, I enjoy the fact that I am not unclogging a drain constantly! We are very happy!

I have purchased this product in May 2017. After one year of normal use, on 19 June 2018, the bouchon has broken. I have tried to find a replacement and it was too expensive. I have done a repair on it and it is working well at the present time. The problem was the inside plastic holder with the screw has broken. I have attached a picture of the repaired bouchon. We had our local plumbing company install this because Home Depot’s people charged double the price. It is quiet and efficient. The only downside is that it takes up more space under the kitchen sink than our last one but overall it works well.

I had an older version of this disposal and it had the exit gasket broken and was leaking...it was also clogged, so I got this new model. The new unit magnet assembly is under the mounting bracket instead of integrated into it, so the unit sits about 3" lower under the sink. I had to redo my drain pipes, but it works just fine. I'd check your drain height to make sure it will work in your situation if a replacement. I like the cover/lid better than the old one...however, I wouldn't suggest putting the cover in the dishwasher.

Just replaced my 3/4 hp Kenmore batch feed garbage disposal with, InSinkErator (Evolution Cover Control Plus) 3/4 hp batch feed garbage disposal. It was very easy to install, the weight of this dispose is very light for one person to lift into place. No additional part needed and price was right.

This is a very strong disposal with a 3/4 horsepower motor. It is very quiet in comparison to the same horsepower rated Insinkerator batch feed disposal it replaced (after 23 years of excellent service). It is extremely easy to use, and it was easy to install in well less than an hour. I highly recommend this disposal.

We needed to replace an older disposer and was looking for a bigger and quieter unit. A friend had purchased this unit and we were quite impressed with how quiet it was. Also the batch run was something we thought made it safer and much less likely that something would fall in while running.

Exactly what we were looking for. No separate switch to turn on. Just add the stopper. No chance of reaching in when on.

high quality! our second incinerator and improvements are evident. Our previous disposal ( also an insinkerator ) lasted 10 years and was excellent but this improved on that. Sound proofing was amazing with hardly an audible noise, only a low pitched hum. I would not consider any other brand. love the stopper actuator.

There is no other that I would use. Your product is what garbage disposal means.

I returned this item and never had installed

Had two garbage disposals installed and both failed to be quiet. I had service come in, and it seems when the plumber installed it he didn’t go back inside the unit and remove a tiny tiny infantile fragment from the installation. Wanting to be careful after installation your plumber must drop the unit and search for any tiny debris. I’m talking the size of two pinheads. But it was enough to make a clinging noise that you knew something was wrong.

Have used insinkerator disposals in all of my homes over the past 35 years. Quality product.

Replaced an older model Evolution. Very easy install. It’s a bit taller than the old one, which reduced under sink storage, but the cover control is much easier to use because of it.

I used Home Depot to install. They were excellent. The disposal is very quiet
