mine came with the wrong toilet seat
Bought and installed one this evening. The toilet itself seems just fine. Mine came with the elongated seat that doesn't match the round bowl. Quality QC Kohler!! Now I have to try and find another seat that fits this darned thing.

    Good flusher
Great toilet, flushes really well. Not quite white, a bit grey-ish. Nice shape.

My Kohler Highline Arc works well with a powerful flush. I gave a four instead of 5 because it was missing a part.
The toilet was rather easy to assemble. All parts were in the box with the exception of a small insert that fits under the toilet seat for stability. It only had one. I have no idea how to order this little plastic piece that was missing. Other than that, I am very satisfied with the performance of the toilet and it's height.

      water level in bowl
I recently bought two toilets and replaced my old ones. Toilet is good with size and height. only one problem I run into was toilet bowl water was too low. adjusted lot of stuff still the same. Found out interesting problem with small pipe. I am attaching the picture, if someone has the similar problem you can can benefit. you can see in picture the pipe came with Kohler tilted 90 degree and choked the water. I replaced the pipe with the another pipe from my old toilet. fixed the problem.

Happy with the toilets but wish there were instructions related to the flow regulator in the fill valve
I just installed 2 of these toilets and overall they have been great so far. When installing the first one I noticed that the tank filled very slowly (like 7 minutes) after flushing and the bowl barely had any water in it. If I turned up the main water valve to the toilet, the fill valve would stop filling and make a loud howling sound. After about 2.5 hours of troubleshooting I discovered on the Fluidmaster website that there is a rubber flow regulator in the bottom of the fill valve that you can simply remove with needle nose pliers. Maybe this is common knowledge to some but it wasn't to me. Had there been a simple note and/or diagram about this in the instructions it would've saved me a lot of time and frustration. Also, on this flow regulator in the picture there wasn't a plastic piece on the end like there was on the other toilet, maybe that's why it stopped filling when the water pressure was increased. I assume this plastic piece keeps the regulator from pushing into and blocking the fill valve pipe. Either way, I removed both and the toilets work great! One area that could use improvement are the 3 screws/rubber gaskets that attach the tank to the base, these seem like future leak points and took a little coddling to make sure they didn't leak during installation.

I'm very pleased with this toilet!! Its the perfect height, not too high, not too low. The height of my last toilet was too high!! I purchased online and picked up in store. It also comes with a slow close seat. It has a nice sleek look in my bathroom.

          where is the quality control?
Purchased this toilet and do like it very much, however after unpacking I noticed a chip on the underside. That area was glazed like the rest, so that chip was created during manufacture. I did not see any other issues that would cause problems, so I did install the unit. Works just fine and looks good, but I question the quality control. Not American craftsmanship.

Very nice quality and look. So quiet compared to the older toilets we are replacing. Slow close lid is perfect and the chair height is something new for us but found it much easier to use.

Buying this brand was mistake. Just had it installed a month, Wax ring was missing, I had bought extra wax ring so used that when installer was installing the toilet. Flush keeps on running, so now have the lid of the tank of, to raise the floater (cylinder with red cap) manually by hand, otherwise water keeps running. Quality of the potty is so poor, the stuff sticks to texture in the potty, does not wash out when you flush it. I thought cheap toilets would do that, Have cheap toilets in other bathroom, have no issue of stuff sticking in the inside of commode. Very Disappointed with Kohler. Ihad expected the brand to stand for a quality, this gave out within one month, and to replace the tank would cost me now to pay for installation as I am not handy to fix this kind of things. Don't know what to do. Never again would consider Kohler, and have neighbor planning to do her bathroom, will tell her to not get Kohler. Also one more thing Home Depot should not put their commodes so high up on display where a customer cannot see the shape and inside depth of commode. It helps to see the actually toilet on the floor to scale the layout or visual.

Hi masterbath, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm very sorry to hear your Highline Arc toilet is constantly running after a flush. This is likely caused by debris that has gone through your water line and has gotten stuck in the fill valve. It can happen after a new toilet is installed or the water is shut off to the toilet for an extended period of time. It can also occur if there is any sediment that has gone through the water line. We would suggest flushing out the fill valve as this will most likely eliminate this problem. To view an instructional video explaining how this can be done, please follow this link: https://youtu.be/oD0HETCc-OQ. If you are still having an issue after flushing out your fill valve, please contact us directly at KohlerCustServ@kohler.com. We are happy to help with your warranty. -Sarah S. LOUD FLUSH WITH A GURGLE PLOP PLOP PLOP SOUND AT THE END
You can hear this thing GURGLE AND PLOP PLOP PLOP each time you flush it. I bought two of them and they both sound the same and are incredibly loud-sounding when you flush them. Also, I had to buy FIVE OF THESE before I got TWO of them that didn't leak and would sit flat on the floor and not rock. None of these things were installation issues. I finally got two that sit flat and don't leak. The quality control of this toilet needs some serious review by KOHLER. I even tried different production dates in my choices to see if that would make a difference. And say Made in Mexico. Not the quality that the KOHLER name used to be at all, nor Mexico. I wish I could add a video on here so you could hear how LOUD they are when then flush. Like the box says- they PLUGE THE WATER DOWN very well. What they don't say it comes with THE SOUND AS WELL OF A CLOGGED TOILET BEING PLUNGED EVERY TIME YOU FLUSH THEM. Not so nice.

Hi LoudSounding, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm very sorry to hear your Highline toilets are flushing with too much noise. When flushed, a toilet with a canister flush valve will be just perceivably louder than a toilet equipped with a flapper flush valve. However, the tradeoff is that toilets with a canister flush valve will have better performance including greater water efficiency. A canister flush valve is quieter than an assisted flush, featured in many commercial toilets. If both toilets are making a gurgling noise, we would suggest checking the rim feed tube and water level within the tank. The water level should be at the "water line" marked on either the back wall (inside) the tank or on the canister itself. The rim feed tube should be connected at both ends; connecting the fill valve to the flush valve. If either end is disconnected, it can be pushed back into place. Leaks
This is my 2nd. My 1st was leaking every time it was flushed, took it apart to find a crack under the base. My 2nd now is leaking but it’s sporadic. Now I will have to change this for the 3rd time since moving into my home 6 months ago. Not sure I will be replacing with another kohler, seems like more trouble than it’s worth

I love the look of this toilet however the flushing power is not there.... the water saving flush is so disappointing that you have to flush multiple times and it defeats the purpose of water saving when you have to flush 5 times.

ProContractor, my name is Jessica with Kohler Customer Service. I am sorry to hear of your disappointment with your Highline Arc toilet. We would like to make a few suggestions that we feel will improve the conformance of your toilet. The chain connecting to the trip lever should be taut. If there is any slack, it should be tightened to remove the slack. The water level can also be checked. The water level in the tank should be at the water line which is marked on the inside back wall of the tank or on the flush valve. The refill tube can be checked as well. It should be connected at both ends connecting the fill valve to the center of the canister valve. If either end is disconnected, it should be pushed back into place. Please also ensure there is water coming out of all of the rim holes around the bowl when the toilet is flushed. If the issue continues once the above has been verified, please contact our Customer Service team at KohlerCustServ@kohler.com. We look forward to hearing from you soon! - Jessica P. Toilet works great. I thought there wasn’t enough water in the bowl but this thing has been flushing like a champ. Uses less water and flushed great no clogs! Installation was easy. Everything is included. Only thing I had to buy was a new water supply line because the old one leaked.

Very well priced Kohler toilet. The only problem I had was the unit was missing nuts to attach the upper tank to the bowl but I had spares on hand. Had the hardest time getting the tank bolt threads to protrude far enough behind the bowl to catch the nuts. That was frustrating but I eventually got it. Looks good, is efficient, I’d buy again.

Hello, I bought this toilet 2 weeks ago and finally had time to install it tonight. It's a beautiful toilet and would look great in my bathroom....however, I wasn't able to install it because NO hardware (nuts, bolts, washers) were included in the box. I tore the box apart and searched every inch, nothing. Super disappointing. Tried calling Home Depot and was on hold for 25 minutes, and I gave up. Hopefully Kohler can send me some hardware so I can finish this project. Thanks

                            Impressive
I updated two of my toilets that were prone to clogging and often required tow flushes to complete the task. This Kohler toilet was packaged nicely, and everything is there for you to install (other than a new supply hose - I recommend repalcing). I'd say that anyone with some basic skills could do the installation, if not it's an easy job for a handyman. As mentioned everything you need is included. I had purchased the new Fluidmaster "Better than Wax" seals, however I did not use them. My flanges are set slightly above the tile floor and I read the reviews that people have had trouble if that's the case. The included wax seal works fine. Suggestions - have someone give you a hand moving the old toilet out. It will be heavy. Make sure you turn off the water valve at the wall before disconnecting, and then flush the toilet to remove as much water as possible. Have a towel handy - you will drip some water. Transport the old toilet relatively level to limit the amount of water spilled. Replace your supply hose with one of the braided designs - they are marked "Toilet". Buy a couple of lengths if you're not sure what you will need, return what you don't use. And when you cut the protruding mounting "T" bolts make sure you cut them short enough or the cap won't fit and you will need to cut twice. BTW, the comfort height is great - especially if you are older and or taller. A couple inches helps reduce stress on the knees. And the flush is excellent. Straight down, fast and positive, no swirling. Both of mine make a bit of a "clucking sound" at the end of the flush. No big deal. Note to Kohler - you have a good brand and this is a nice product. It's made in Mexico, which is fine by me. It's a global economy and your factory there is doing a great job. One area that you might consider improving is the grouping of the hardware. It's a bit jumbled up. Ideally parts would be grouped logically, or just bag them all together. They'd be easier to find that way.

Bought one for the half bath downstairs, my favorite room LOL. I hired a plumber to install it because the old toilet was leaking water and had damaged the flooring. Wanted to make sure I don't have the same issue. Anyway, quick install for him. Had to upgrade the hose to a longer one. I also bought the Fluidmaster Universal wax Free seal. I wanted to upgrade. The toilet flushes like magic, one push and before I get it it's done. Wow, long way from the old press and hold and wait. I love it. Also, mine is the tall, 17.5 inches WITH the seat, Love it. Although the Misses doesn't like the tall one. I will be replacing the ancient master bedroom toilet this week but will get the same but shorter.

I first ordered the Kohler Valiant toilet because of the concealed trap design but when we went to install it... the supply line has to be 8" off center and mine was the standard 4-5 inches so... I had to get a new toilet from what was in stock at my nearest store. This model was available and now that I have it... it is amazing. First, I never thought 1.28 gal flush would be efficient, but it is. And it takes only a few seconds for the tank to refill. I like the lever operator instead of a button and all together is very satisfactory. Plus it was less expensive than the first choice Valiant. I may get one for the hall bath as you get used to the higher seat.
