The dimensions on page 2 of the specification sheet state the tank is 8" from the front to the back. The tank measures 19-5/8" wide (left to right) and the total toilet height is 30-3/8" tall. Hello, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm sorry to hear your Highline toilet isn't flushing well and that you are having trouble plunging the bowl. We would suggest using a Force Cup Plunger which will allow you to get proper suction on this toilet. A plunger of this style can be seen online here: http://goo.gl/6oNRRt. While this type of plunger will work well to remove a clog, we would suggest checking a few things within the tank to ensure the toilet is performing optimally. First, you can check the canister chain inside the tank. The chain connecting to the trip lever should be taut. If there is any slack, it should be tightened to remove the slack. The water level can also be checked. The water level in the tank should be at the water line which is marked on the inside back wall of the tank or on the flush valve. The refill tube can be checked as well. It should be connected at both ends connecting the fill valve to the center of the canister valve.
