Do not buy, failed after 1 year
Before I get to the big problem, as far as actual performance, the water flow is weak.Takes this faucet nearly twice as long to fill as the faucet it replaced, a much lower priced Delta. Now the real problem- the cartridge failed after just over 1 year. Ran a bath, and 30 min later, it died. Plumber has been told there is a 28 day back order on the parts. Yes, parts are covered, but what about the couple hundred dollar plumber bill? I have never heard of such a fast fail in a plumbing fixture. Never Kohler again.

    Leaky Garbage
    The connection between the hot water/shower/tub faucet and the pushbutton/hot cold dial leaks or the water won't stop running when it is shut off. This is attributed to the poor design and horrible instructions. The orings must align perfectly or one of the two scenarios occurs. I got 2 and installed everything properly and had the same problems with both. Now I get to unsolder everything and find a new set. When you tile a bathroom this is your worst nightmare because a tiny leak behind your backerboard leads to black mold over time.not to mention ripping everything out. Never buy this overpriced garbage. Look at the reviews the parts failed me on install and others mention it fails after a few months... this is not worth the risk at all.

      Works until it DOESN'T
      I would guess as a cost saving measure, Kohler cut corners and made multiple parts from plastic. The result is after roughly two to three months the plastic breaks. I know it is not an installation issue, or it is such a temperamental installation that one general contractor and two plumbers have yet to get it correct. Behind the button attached to the valve is a small piece of plastic, it breaks. I have now had three of them break. Although Kohler and Home Depot stepped up and replaced the unit each time, the cost of the plumber to replace the unit is almost the price of a new one. As a result, even if it is covered by a warranty I am unwilling to install a fourth unit.

The ideal cleaning technique is to always blot dry any water from metal surfaces. It is important to use a dabbing action to dry metal, not an abrasive or rubbing action. Allowing water to evaporate on metal will form water deposits. To remove water spots once they have formed, we suggest using a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution to clean the faucet.               Pressure to the spicket and shower head is terrible. After 3 weeks of use we lost all water to the shower and tub. The part that went bad is on backorder for 30 days. So after a longwinded complete bathroom remodel the shower is out for another month. Customer service is very helpful however that doesn't make it suck any less!
