I've used the same size dishes my whole adult life-no issues standing them straight up-until now. Prongs are too short and don't have a 'notch' at the bottom for the lip of the plate, just straight up and down. So dinner plates just fall over like dominoes. Beyond frustrating-no solution found yet. That, the terrible printed installation directions, home depot not selling the correct installation parts - not satisfied with home depot or the dishwasher-though it is quiet.

It's a good dishwasher. Cleans well. But not as quiet as advertised. Sound meter app shows 45-50 dB. My older Bosch was quieter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very good dishwasher with a design flaw. It washes dishes well and is very quiet when operating. The only issue is that a vent which is open under the control panel on the front, drops approximately a tablespoon or two of water upon opening the washer. Enough that it must be wiped up from the tile floor each time the washer is used.

The product id fine but the information about the install was horrible!! My old dishwasher was not next to the sink and no where in any of HD info is a buyer made aware of this issue. Installer couldn't install, HD sent a plumber and he failed too. 10 days later I had to get my own plumber to install. HD need to advise of this issue at the time of purchase

Doesn’t dry dishes. Condensation remains on door and inside dishwasher. Will be calling to possibly return.

Delivery and the communications, well done. Dishwasher was unscathed. I have no complaints.

Beautiful product. Whisper quiet. Easy to load. Well designed racks. Only con: regular dry circle is insuffient, so I’m using the extended cycle which takes more energy. Sometimes I don’t even use the dry cycle, but when I want them dry, I want the regular dry cycle to do its job. No I do not overload or crowd. I use the two in one Cascade tabs that has rinse shine in it.

Excellent dishwasher. This is our 3rd Kitchaid. Previous one lasted 12 years. Super quiet. Cleans well. Top utensil rack is a nice addition. Easy installation.

We purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher with the extended, "hassle-free" 5 year full warranty, after having another dishwasher die a month after the warranty expiration. As I write this, we've been out of a dishwasher for a month. Three calls into customer service, one appointment that nobody showed up to, two calls back with the reply, "Sorry, we can't do anything to schedule you this month..." These guys are a joke, and we're either out a few thousand dollars or we can file a lawsuit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After delivery by two guys who offered multiple reasons to not install it, even though I paid for installation, they left it in middle of kitchen. At 81 yrs old, it took me two days to install. Dishwasher is the quietest I've ever known. The racks limit how the dishes are loaded so maybe that contributes to the excellent job of washing dishes. But the racks are uncomfortable to use. There is no good place to put stemware. I can't understand what the third rack is used for. Maybe some will put silverware on the third rack but why have a silverware basket. Ash trays? I don't smoke. The third rack on the upgraded unit is deeper and has a smarter arrangement of placement and might have been a better choice, or maybe I could have just got a .... never mind, I'm not gonna mention other brands.

This is a quiet dishwasher, and I like the controls and features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only run it twice. The first time my glasses came out very dewy. Had to dry them off. There was also a lot of water left puddling in the machine. The second time was better, but still puddling. Next time I will try the express wash and see if that makes a difference.

Great use of space dishes are super clean. Lots of flexible options.

First unit didn’t work at all and second unit runs but makes sounds that are loud and sound as if the unit is also defective.

My manual on my machine delivered yesterday shows a Pro Dry option. But, that button doesn’t exist on my options panel. Should it have this feature? I haven’t had this product long enough to rate its performance, but my spouse was very unhappy with the installation job. Lots of basic details were missed that I only noticed after he got home and pointed them out. The seal was incorrectly installed making it useless. They drilled screws and a clamp into my nice wooden cabinet & uneven install.

KitchenAid's KDFE204 cleans well, but the "Normal Wash" cycle is almost 3 hours, twice as long as my previous KitchenAid dishwasher purchased in 2012. Recommend using the "Express Wash" mode, which takes only 70 minutes, yet does the same job of cleaning and drying. Biggest complaint....the middle rack is 3 - 4 inches shorter in length, so 4 to 5 fewer glasses/cups can be cleaned per cycle. Didn't notice this in the showroom. Would not recommend this model for that reason.

This is one great dish washer ,very quiet.

The dishwasher is very nice. It is quite similar to our old one but has a top rack for silverware that we are really enjoying!

Replaced my 22 year old Kitchen Aid same model. The top water supply is replaced with a silverware rack which cleans nicely. This newer version is so quiet you can barely hear it running.My concern was, how can delivery people not have a pen to sign delivery papers?

The dishwasher is extremely quiet. It washes and dries dishes/silverware well but the use of a rinse aide is required for thorough drying. I have had the unit for about 2 months. It was easy to install and have had no problems so far. I would recommend it to a friend.
