Disappointed with fit. Purchased KitchenAid because I assumed it would fit the KitchenAid grill I...
Disappointed with fit. Purchased KitchenAid because I assumed it would fit the KitchenAid grill I recently bought. Instructions boast 'universal fit'. Seems in effort to fit other grills, design compromised fit to their own product? Once adjusted to position spit rod in hood openings, can no longer use the foldable shelf on the side housing the motor. Though spit and forks seem quite sturdy, motor mounting bracketry seems rather flimsy and unsteady once attached to the grill housing. Also, spit cradle support bracket on non-motor side needs to be reworked to accept shaft collar.

Overall it was what I had hoped for. All stainless steel, easy to assemble and the operation was almost silent.
The main shaft is about 8” too long for my grill, but isn’t an issue. The skewer forks for holding meat are adjustable depending on your favorite bird size.
I’ve only had it a week and have only used it once when I used it to cook two whole chickens. The biggest problem I had was tying the legs to the skewer forks...chicken legs and wings are a pain to get tied, but I managed with enough string to fly a kite (my problem, not the rotesseri).
That being said...the “kit” should include two additional skewer forks, it would make cooking two birds at once a lot easier.
Regardless, I’m pleased.

Outstanding rotisserie! Just a couple minutes to assemble, excellent packaging, just like the new 3 burner grill it went on. The spit itself is quite a bit longer than necessary for the 3 burner. It will prevent the use of the side burner unless it is cut down. I cut mine down, re threaded it 3/8 X 16 so I could use the excellent handle that comes with it. It has a brass insert in the handle, a nice touch.
Plenty of power for lop sided chickens and uneven loads. Helps keep the grill clean with use of a drip pan. I've done chickens, St Louis style spare ribs, and several tri tip roasts. So far, we've only used the grill for veggies.
Pro tip, trim your St. Louis style ribs, cut the silverskin on the back (bone) side and weave the spit thru every other rib serpentine fashion. Ribs in 20-25 minutes. I use a drip pan and supplemental smoke box. You can off set the drip pan and get some drippings onto one of the grill/burner sections if you want more smoke flavor, less cleanup.

Product delivered had bad parts. No one, not HD or KitchenAid could replace the parts even though they have a 1 year warranty. So right now I can’t use it. Sad…..

Save Your Money
I ordered this rotisserie kit because I love my KitchenAid grill and wanted a genuine part made for my grill. What I got is basically a universal kit with the KitchenAid name on it. Extremely cheap components and motor. Even though this is the part number recommended in my grill manual, it is not a custom fit. You have to remove the motor mount anytime you want to use the side burner.
Overpriced Chinese garbage.

Great - but lousy assembly instructions
Arrived on time and well packaged. The reason for 4 stars versus 5 is that the assembly instructions were terrible, but ultimately it went together fine. First used was a prime roast for Christmas, and this worked as expected!!!! Would recommend for KitchenAid Grills.

Could be better
I purchased this kit for my Kitchen aid grill. Although it is quality material, the instructions are terrible! The instructions have low resolution black and white pictures to show you where everything goes. The problem is, you cant see the pictures!
