[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this cooktop a few weeks ago. The delivery was great. On time as promised and the delivery men were very nice and helpful. The cooktop fit perfectly in the opening and was fairly simple too connect. Everything is functioning perfectly.

once cooked for a couple of time....it's super hard to get rid of the ring stain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like the product features. It works well and is easy to use. But within a month of installation, defects in the glass top are already showing up. White spots under the glass in random places and larger grey spots under the glass around the burners. There is nothing we can do to remove those spots and this is in a single month of use. We expect this to continue to get worse, but since it is the ONLY downdraft electric cooktop made now, we have no choice but to use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very hard to find a 36” downdraft cooktop. This KitchenAid model is sleek, functional and addresses every cooking need. I especially like the oversize double burner. You do need quite a bit of undercounter space for the downdraft motor unit.

Very attractive cooktop. Easy installation. I would definitely buy this again. Burners heat up very quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this cooktop to replace a twenty year old KitchenAid cooktop that had a big crack in it. I must say that I liked the old cooktop better. The old one was easier to keep clean and looking nice since it wasn't solid black. Instead it had specks of white with the black. The burners were also easier to locate on the old one since they were outlined in white. The new cooktop is completely black and shows streaks really bad no matter how much I polish it. It is also sometimes depending on the lighting in the kitchen kind of hard to see where the burners are. I do like that it has five burners although it would be impossible to use all five at the same time since four of them are so close together. The burners do heat up faster on the new cooktop which of course is quite nice. I also do like the two even heat burners (one with simmer setting and the other one with melt setting.) The cooktop does look very sleek and modern.

This rating is for the documentation. We are in the process of getting ready to install one of these units but the documentation is next to useless. All measurements are from the bottom of the countertop and should be from the top of the counter. Where the exhaust hole goes is affected by the thickness of the counter. A counter thickness of 3/4" is way different than a 2" counter when it comes to drilling a hole through a brick wall. No documentation on the Canadian site so need to refer to the US site. Lastly measurements on website in Canada need an accurate conversion, as 36 inches is not 9,233 cm.

It fit the space, holds even heat, my husband installed it without difficulty, and I’m happy with the overall cooktop. My only other comment: it would be great if the down draft fan could be quieter.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) There weren’t many options to replace my old cooktop so this was the only option. It works fine but the first time I used it with a pot, it left a ring mark which isn’t really nice to see.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far the unit has worked fine. No issues to date. However we wish that the right hand burner was a 3 way with a smaller ring. We are right handed and have the majority of the counter top on the right side. We do most of our daily cooking in smaller pans. We end up having to use the smaller burners on the left side and have to drag food and stuff across the entire cook top. Also, this puts those mostly used burner close to the edge of the counter top on the left, making them reachable by grandkids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my old, traditional, coil cooktop with this new 36" electric downdraft. There aren't many electric cooktops with a downdraft, which was concerning, but I love this model! I appreciate the different sized burners with specific heat settings. The down draft is very efficient and quiet. Clean up is is so easy!

Installed in two hours. So far so good.

It is much more convenient for cooking for my family. It heats evenly. I’m very happy with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed to replace our 36” downdraft and found the Kitchenaid 36” downdraft would match perfectly with our Kitchenaid appliances. This unit requires a 40 amp service with larger wires than our 30 amp older unit. I upgraded the wires and can take full advantage of the 5 burners when needed. Very satisfied with the purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The burner configuration is a bit ambigous and difficult to use multiple burners simulanteously. Downdraft not as effective as I had hoped and quite loud.

Make sure to fully support range as it only has 1/2 inch flange around it. Glass top only secured by double sided tape

When it was first installed, the left top burner did not work. However, when I called the service line, they sent someone right away to look at and has since been fixed (wire was not connected, not defective element). I like that I have 5 burners and especially the one with the dual ring which allows me to boil water quickly using my largest pasta pot. Downdraft could be better but that’s the case for all downdrafts. My previous glass cooktop did not have knobs so it was easier to clean but if needed, can remove the knob fobs to clean. I used the recommended cleaner and it gets it looking new again.
