[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is overwhelming for a family of 2 people and takes forever to fill up! However, I am most impressed by how clean some items came out! I put a grungy glass votive holder with caked wax in it, and it came out like brand new! I also put a really old ‘chip clip’ holder in it, and it also came out like brand new! It is sooooo quiet. I was greatly disappointed that it didn’t come with an owner’s manual with pictures of how to load it. The pictures had to be magnified, and even then, were very difficult to see.

So far it’s a great dishwasher!

Had to wait 3 weeks for parts and on the second service call it still wouldn’t work. Still waiting for more parts and service man to come a 3rd time . Machine is obviously a lemon but they will not replace it. Got the machine Jan 7 and here it is March 7 and I’m still washing dishes by hand

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) There is a lot to like, the third rack is fantastic. Adjustable height on the second rack, self cleaning filter, interior lighting and oh so quiet. I didn't know when I bought it that there was backlit words on the black handle letting you know when it's cleaning and when it's finished. We are very happy with this dishwasher in black chrome. It's really nice looking. Of course it cleans the dishes squeaky clean and drying is excellent. Worth every penny!

We’ve had this five years, and I love it, but now it’s broken and the price for a new one has more than doubled. It heats, and there’s water flow, but the dishes aren’t clean. I expect more from Kitchenaid but know things aren’t made the way they used to be. I guess I’d say roll the dice because when it works, it’s fantastic. I’d just assume I’d get more than five years out of this brand name so it’s very disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid brand is excellent and our dishwasher is so quiet yet powerful to clean any challenge and the LED interior lighting is incredible! And the flexibility of the racks allows added storage for any size of dishes and we love the special knife rack!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for a month and so far it is working very well; exceeding my expectation. I use the normal cycle which is automatically set to the pro dry setting and it gets dishes completely dry. I researched a lot of brands and all of the high end dishwashers for 7 years after my Whirlpool broke (builder grade cheapo”),but never pull the trigger in getting one because I think all of them are over priced for what you get and I couldn’t find one that had overall consistently good/solid reviews. Also didn’t like the configuration inside most of them, and didn’t want mismatched looking appliances as a lot of them have distinct designs. I ended up going with this one (Free Flex 3rd rack 44dba) because it doesn’t have a handle so would integrate well with other brands of appliances, has fingerprint resistant finish, and the features and configuration make the most sense compared to others on the market (even Bosch IMHO). The only other ones on the market that I liked the interior design of were Monogram and GE Cafe dishwashers but didn’t like the stainless steel exterior as it shows streaks/prints, and didn’t want the other colors Cafe comes in because I know that I won’t go with their appliances when I replace my refrigerator and stove. So long story short; had to get a dishwasher now b/c I have a baby on the way and this purchase has proven to be the right choice so far. Another important thing to mention: the installers aren’t great, and that isn’t really a KitchenAid thing. It’s just the quality of employees that work for the 3rd party install companies (ie: JB Hunt). So keep an eye on them when they install to make sure they adjust the feet correctly to make the appliance door vertically straight and aligned with the face of the cabinet (otherwise the door will not stay open correctly and the bottom drawer will roll back into the dishwasher when opened), make sure they completely hide the insulation around the appliance so that you can’t see it between the cabinet and appliance, etc. We ended up taking the appliance back out to adjust the feet once the installers left to get the door vertically level (it was at an angle with the bottom protruding further than the top). We had him adjust it several times but he just couldn’t quite get there.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The 3rd rack is one of the best I have seen and really enables a lot of dishes to fit. It’s unfortunate that the pocket handle is flimsy plastic and I’m worried it will break in time. Kitchen aid really cheapened the build quality

And the ability to delay the start time is my FAVORITE feature because we are on Time Of Day usage for electricity!!! It’s a match made in heaven — LOVE IT!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not had any problems what so ever. Getting this dishwasher was the best decision ever. I am a 50 year old female and I installed it myself.

It’s amazing how many dirty dishes accumulate from my family of 5. It’s even more amazing how many dishes this dishwasher holds. The 3rd rack is so useful being able to hold an array of highball glasses and coffee mugs. The middle row being able to accommodate the large 6qt stand mixer bowl is awesome. Then let’s talk about clean. My dishes come out superbly clean and dry when prodry is used. Might I dare admit that I don’t do any prerinse before loading

I bought this dishwasher a year and a half ago. It has broken down multiple times, with parts being replaced twice. After each repair it worked for awhile and then started leaving soap deposits on our dishes again. This third time around customer service is blaming the quality of our water. However we have a whole house water treatment system and do not experience water deposits anywhere else, including our glass shower walls which is crystal clear using the same water. In addition the 15+ year opld dishwasher we replaced never ever experienced these issues! The appliance we have is a total lemon, I bought their most expensive dishwasher with the hope of having something great, instead its the worst dishwasher I have even owned. I should have bought another brand.

After almost exactly 1 year, it stopped draining when hot. So it won't finish the wash cycle without error. No luck with KitchenAid customer service either. For the price, this dishwasher should have been far more reliable.

How do I clean the filter in the model? It does not look like any other on the inside so I can't find it and the information is not in the manual.

Truly an exceptional dishwasher. It is silent. It cleans the dishes spotless everytime and dries them perfectly too (even plastic cups). The 3rd row adds so much space, you can really load it up. LOVE this appliance.

I never knew how much of a difference a well configured 3rd rack would make in the capacity. We have a family of 5 and go through a lot of dishes throughout the day. This thing is a workhorse and handles large capacity with ease. I never get excited about home appliances, however with this thing it truly has been amazing how much of a difference it is compared to our old two rack dishwasher. If I could give it 6 stars on capacity I would! Unbelievable.

I wanted a Bosch but they were factory back ordered. The previous Kitchen Aid dishwasher I had only lasted 4 years, so I really didn’t want to buy another one. But desperate times call for desperate measures. I’m satisfied to the point of being impressed at how well this cleans my dishes. Will it stand the test of time? I don’t know.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about two months ago and love it. It is so quiet I can't even hear it run. I also love the 3rd rack! I would have given it an excellent rating except for two things. My large coffee mugs don't always get clear dry inside and my dishes (cups and bowls) don't fit very well in the racks. Otherwise it's about a thousand times better than my old one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an older model whirlpool that ended crashing, so time for an upgrade. Could not believe the cleaning power of this unit. Is the LED lights and third rack too much, absolutely not. Great non-finger print as well. Pricey but worth it.

Everything it was advertised and more. Very pricey, but worth it.
