This is not the adorable I think they should’ve made it a little bit better it broke the first time using it

I bought this bit thinking I could reduce the amount of drywall work I'd need to do, with the plan being to cut the hole where the box would go and drill down from there and fish the wires through. It jammed in the studs I was trying to drill through both times I tried it, dangerously torqueing the drill in my hands. I managed to get it out the first time, but then the drill piece sheared off of the flexible extension part, so now the head of the bit is forever embedded in my wall.

Used drill bit with centering ball to add a receptacle to a finished column in my house. But punched through with no issues, was able to easily attach the wire and pull back up through the wall.

Do your research and verify whether or not hard woods were used in the construction of your house. In my case hardwood was used (built in 1969) and I didn’t know this until the bit buried itself in my walls footer. I now have a four foot rod sticking out of the hole I made for the receptacle. No amount of twisting will get it out. I’ve used multiple pairs and types of vice grip type tools and it almost burnt out my Dewalt drill (full on smoke sparks everything) when it seized going in and will not back out. At this point I’m probably going to cut it off and leave it in my wall. Which still doesn’t address the job I set out to do in the first place. I did some research online and apparently I’m not the first person this has happened to.

Used this to drill holes for 20 cans i had added. Worked great!

I was drilling through second floor to run low voltage and it worked ok for two holes then on the third one the part that goes in the chuck just warped out of no where. I was using a dewalt 18v drill.

To this point I do not write reviews, but that is changed with the purchase of this drill bit. After reading some reviews and going to Home Depot finding only this but I decided to buy it for a project it did not even make it past the first hole the shank is made of a steel that is so soft that the drill chuck actually twisted it and caused the plating to flake off in the entire thing to be rendered essentially useless. This was with a standard five amp 120 V drill nothing special, single hole probably 2 1/2 inches deep I did not even make it through. Extreemly disappointed. You may think by looking at the photo that the drill chuck was loose but it was not. That is what happened at the exit of the drill chuck where it joins the shank of the drill

Bought this set for some CCTV cameras and while using it a second time, they end broke off and stuck on a top plate in the attic.

Worked great. Definitely go with this diameter or larger to run cable lines with the ends intact.

The bit and handle work fine. However, the wire puller did not work at all. It does not grip Romex NMB cable. It slips right off. I worked with the grip to try and get it to dig into the plastic shell of NMB cable but it would never work. So it is worthless for rewiring an old home, fishing wire with the bit. Another problem was the grip hook is designed with an extra bend at the end of the piece that should clip into the hole in the bit. It was impossible to hook the grip into the bit. Especially if you are up in an attic against the eve and you need to reach in and hook the grip to the bit. It takes two hands and a lot of extra work to try and attach the grip to the bit. I wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work. I would not buy this again or recommend this product.

Garbage, less flex than a 36” rigid auger bit, bit broke off, embedded in the first joist I tried to go through

I have no idea how good this is. It was the last one and on clearance for $17, down from $68...I couldn't pass up a deal that good.

Have had this for several years. Hardly use. Hit a nail in the double cap of the wall. It STUCK. The connection in the center of the rods (held with allen screw) is not strong enough to reverse the drill. The lower section just spins. Had to cut it and just leave it hanging in my wall. Don't waste your money on this. You can't tell where nails are.

Good flexibility and got the job done.

Drill bit broke off very easily. Tried it with drilling through 2x4’s and it snap off after a few seconds. Not even making it through

Did what it's usupposed to, but the cable pull system is not a good setup.

It worked beautifully, the engineering and design makes it a must-have tool for in the wall work.

drills unreachable 2" or 4" thick studs amazingly fast. still pretty sharp after a dozen holes. very flexible to make several holes through 3 studs from a small hole like a 2x4 outlet hole.

Had to run new wires up wall worked perfect, i tried using wire grab it would have worked good except wall had insulation in wall cavity and it got hung up so user regular wire snake to run wire after drilling holes

Drill bit bent easily now it’s not straight anymore.

I used this the other day to drill down a wall from the attic. There was a block in the wall I needed to drill through. It works great!!

The bit it’s self got the job I needed done. The extra tool that came with it is worthless.

I bought this drill bit to run cables for my wall mounted TVs in 3 rooms that had horizontal studs obstructing in-wall applications. With a hole in the tip, wires were pulled from the bottom to the top. My only criticism is that the flexibility of the bit is limited, at best.

Worked great! Went right through the double plate, insulation, old siding, and the vinyl siding. I was impressed with how easy the bit cut through everything. Very happy with this purchase!
