Overall this is a great crimper, solid quality. The only issue I have is that it does not have a pass through blade.

Does everything I expect and the quality is what I'd expect from Klein.

Way too much money for a tool that doesn't work on pass thru connectors. Seems to crimp ok, and cuts sheath clean on cat6 non-shielded, but others have had issues with connectors not passing test. I really haven't used it enough to give a long term evaluation.

Don’t like that it doesn’t have the pass through blade to cut the wires. Works ok. The ratcheting part barely works, & I bought them only a week ago.

The only thing I’d appreciate this having is the ability to lock when fully compressed, otherwise it pops open in your bag. The product it’s self is awesome for the int need use

Operates perfectly! Stripping the outer cable jacket was super quick and easy. Crimped the connectors perfectly the first time every time.

This is one of those tools that you need every once in a while but when you need it, its good to have the best. Purchased a new home, all the cat wires were hanging loose in the basement. Not marked in any way so away i went with this great tool. It cut the shielding around the 6 wires then cut each wire to fit into the cat connector. After doing that i crimped the fitting so the fitting became functional. This one tool allowed me to do all those steps with the level of a professional. This is a must have tool for working cat 5, 6, and more. Well with the cost to do a professional job.

makes attaching RJ45 connectors a snap. Much easier to to than tools of 15 years ago.

This tool always strips the wire back ~ 7/16" from the cut. There is no way to adjust the distance between the cutting blade and the stripping blade in order to get the correct strip length for the modular connector that you are using. The tool requires that you manually trim the stripped wires to the correct length before you can crimp them in the connector.

The crimping tool worked. I bought pass through Cat5 heads and this tool doesn’t appear to work with pass through heads but I got everything working by clipping the excess with a wire clipper. I’m happy to own the tool.

I bought this RJ45 crimper to replace a crimper that came in an inexpensive kit that I used for ten years. Unfortunately, the new Klein Tools crimper does not work well. I followed th einstructions carefully. The mechanism that is supposed to lock the crimper in a closed position is not working and i need to use a rubber band. Worse, the crimp quality is uneven and I had to redo the crimps several times. My other Klein tools are top quality and I use them regularly. This one was disappointing. I'll be looking for a different brand.

This crimper works just as expected.

this tool by itself may crimp but offers no way to trim excess. I can't relate to the happy reviewers. stay away from this product
