I brought this about a month ago. Being my age ( late 60’s) I had to get use to the smartness of the machine. It seems it’s a pretty large machine but they fit just right in my small laundry area. it has worked well and I’m impressed. I love it.

Our niece recently bough an LG and was happy with her purchase, so I decided to check out LG models. So we've had our new LG washer just over 1 month now, and we love it! It has enough choices for the cycles needed for all kinds of washes plus temp, spin, etc. but not too many where you'd never use them! I love the large capacity and Turbo drum too! For me, I didn't need the wifi options, so I didn't choose a washer that had them. I'm also glad I read a bunch of other people's positive & negative reviews because, then at & after setup, we didn't have those same issues such as leveling, calibration, dry or wrinkled clothes...and I also pretty much knew how to use my washer before it arrived! So it pays to do your research and read ahead! And it's SUPER quiet--YAY! Great purchase, thanks LG for making a great product!

My son and daughter-in-law needed a new washer and wanted to move away from a front load. This is a nice option. She likes the capacity and believes the agitator gets her clothes cleaner. It was easy to install and connect with the braided, burst-proof water lines. These lines make you feel safer that water will not leak. It runs very quiet as it goes through its cycles. The controls are easy to set for each type/load of clothes. It looks great and we are headed to get the matching dryer. She also likes the see through glass lid for seeing what is happening

This washer is fantastic. I actually look forward to washing clothes. I like that it senses the size of the load and adjusts the time accordingly. The detergent tray is at the top so I don’t over pour. The tub will never rust because it’s stainless steel. It has an agitator that I love as well as a deep fill setting. This washer holds a lot of laundry. It washes my quilted bedspread with no problem. Installation was fast and simple. It’s 27 inches wide and fit through the front door easily. Doing laundry in the LG Electronics 4.8 cu.ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer, Agitator, White makes doing laundry enjoyable. I absolutely recommend this washer. It’s truly an incredible machine that I will have for years to come

This LG washer is a big upgrade for me. I was used to the 'old-fashioned' mechanical type (not digital). So the sensor washing time is longer than what I was used to with my old one. The pre-programmed cycles seem too long to me. Doing a 'speed wash' cycle with a somewhat small load was much quicker. And I am from the old school, which means, the water level should nicely cover all the clothing. The pre-programmed cycles are a bit skimpy on the water level (in my opinion). The instruction manual that came with it is not adequate. I had to go online to get more detailed info on the cycles - this is where I found that if you use the deep wash cycle, you will get more water - as opposed to the deep fill feature, which added way too much water. Also the soap amount recommended by the soap brands, seem to want you to use more soap than the washer wants you to use. I tried a bedding cycle with 2 full-size sheets + one light mattress cover + a light blanket. I added one extra rinse. The load became unbalanced during the first rinse cycle - an audible tone played to catch my attention. I was able to redistribute the load and complete the cycle - no problem. The tub is quite large! The see-through lid is nice, but fogs up, so I keep a clean rag nearby to wipe it off when I want to check things. I am pleased with this washer and it's versatility.

This LG washer is the best we have ever had. I'm old school when it comes to having an Agitator. I believe they do a better job of moving the clothes through the cycles. The control panel may look intimidating but it's quite easy to use. The detergent and fabric softener Dispenser tray is well thought out and easy to fill. The glass top is tempered so no worries of breaking it. Able to see it run. It's hinged to open straight up making it easy to load and remove clothing. It's surprising quiet. It's well balanced. The set up was easy. Supply lines are included with the washer

I got tired of my wife always sending me to the laundry mat to clean our spreads and other large items, so we went and ordered this really sharp looking LG washer online. Delivery was great and fast. After hooking up our new LG washer with new stainless steel hoses, I started washing big spreads which fit very easily into the drum. They came out perfectly clean. I love the impeller since it cleans much better and I like that the hose connections are at the top. There are so many buttons to choose from. The washer is quiet and efficient and everything comes out clean.

I just replaced a 12 year old washing machine in our guest house which started out as an in-law suite but now serves as residence for visiting children and grandchildren. I needed a washer that does a great job cleaning and is very easy to use. This wonderful Living Good (LG) top loading machine was exactly what I needed. With a 4.8 cu. Ft. roomy tub and a special agitator the clothes come out free of twisted tangles and super clean. The spin cycle takes out enough water that there is no dripping water during the washer to dryer transfer. The see through lid gives great visibility without having to raise the lid and the washer plays music between cycles as a notification instead of annoying beeps. The first thing I washed was a bulky comforter and there were no vibrations and it came out fabulously clean. The washer is super quiet when operating. It is both energy and water efficient with an annual anticipated electric operating cost of only $24. One interesting feature that hopefully I’ll never need is that it can be set up with an easy to use app, (LGthinQ), to diagnose any future issues. How cool is that! Thank you LG and Home Depot.

This is a nice top-loading washing machine. The build quality is excellent. The feet are sturdy and easy to adjust. It comes with instructions for installation and use. I installed it myself. The tub is large and it has an agitator. For those who do not like agitator-less top-loaders, this is worth looking at. It washes my heavily-soiled clothing well. The see-through top is nice so you can watch the load getting washed. The control panel is easy to use. There is one dial and multiple buttons. There is an LED count-down clock which is nice to show how much time is left to wash the load. My expectations have been exceeded.

Huge! No chance of overloading this washer. Quiet I just love it

The LG 5.0 cf washing machine is large and easy to use. Just layer your cloths around the edges add soap and shut lid and turn machine on and select your settings, prea as start. It will since load size and adjust water and the time the load needs and its off and running. The spin dry gets the cloths dry enough to air dry and not leave water dripping off the cloths into the floor. The machine is quieter than our old washing machine and so far our loads take an hour or less. This LG washer is direct drive so no belts to worry about breaking and has a 10 year warentee. We love the added capacity and quietness of this new machine.

LG ( Life's Good) brand is one of the few well-built appliances and electronics that comes from the good old USA. To me, this is the top of the line in washers. Just looking at how technology has changed the washing cycle, this has to be the top of the line. This washer can handle the biggest wash loads affording the purchaser savings in line because of the size of the load that can be handled by this washer. This washer has no agitator but uses the tub and motor, working in opposite directions to enhance the washing cycle to get the load clean. This washer I would say is the "BENCHMARK" of washers into the future. Each wash cycle combines up to 6 different wash motions to provide the future of all washers.

This washer has an enormous wash tub measuring approximately 19 inches from interior rim to rim and 22 1/2 inches deep. Without an physical agitator, it appears as if a small adult could bath in it! Soft closing lid that is see thru, you can view what is going on inside the washer at any given time if needed. HE only detergent. Energy star rated. Electronic controls, with specific settings for bedding and waterproof items, extra water, soaking. I washed a queen comforter in this washer. The control panel will tell you how long the was is and time remaining. Upon loading and turning machine on, it will spin briefly before water begins to disperse. Make sure water inlets are turned all the way open to obtain appropriate water levels. It does get a little noisy during rinse cycle. A little larger than my last by three and 3/8 inches, with a slight bow on the front to take into consideration for tight spaces. Prompt delivery.

Our old washer was 20 yrs old so when we saw this LG 5 Cubic foot top loader we knew we found our new washer. It came fully protected with everything we needed. The lid is see thru so you can see what is going on. The controls are easy to read but, there was no explanation in our owners manual as to what each button did. (Thankfully, Home Depot has ALL info available on the website to download.) The detergent etc. is easy to add and so is the bleach. I was happy when I did my first load to see the clothes came NOT twisted in knots like our old washer did. They did not have to be unwrapped. This is the best feature for both of us. The machine plays music when done-no buzzers. If there are problems down the road, you can use your smart phone to find the problem. Saves on trip charges. Do your research and you will see how great this LG is. Besides saving water, AND energy, this machine also comes with a 10 years warranty on the motor and has a stainless steel drum. Can't beat that. The only problem we encountered is that my short wife can not reach in to empty the washer. She is 5' tall and the machine is 44 1/2 inches tall. If you are in the market for a washer, and /or dryer, check out the LG selection at Home Depot.. You will be glad you did.

The new washing machine is great! I really like that it's a top loading machine and that it has a clear glass top so I can see what's in it. The machine spins at a high speed to remove most of the water from the clothingh to make it easier on the dryer. Despite how fast it spins this is definitely the quietest washing machine I've ever run. Another feature I like is all of the different chimes it makes when starting up and completing loads, it's loud enough to hear throughout the house without being overbearing. Overall I'm very happy with the new washer!

First of all I was very impressed with the speed of delivery and hook up. The installers were knowledgable, courteous and professional. The machine is super capacity and has a variety of settings. I have already washed several loads and found it to be very quiet compared to other machines I have owned. As advertised it does not vibrate. My clothes came out very clean. It has a ten year warranty on the motor, which not all manufacturers offer.I am very happy with this machine.

This review is for the LG 5.0 cu ft. top loading washer. It arrived very well packed in the card board box. The delivery men were very helpful and careful about unloading the washer from their truck and bringing it to the location we wanted. They would have set it up and ran a test run of it but we did all the installation ourselves because my husband wanted to replace the water shutoff valves before setting up the new washer. After he got finished with that part, we unwrapped the washer and hooked up all the hoses as described in the Instructions that came with the unit. It was pretty straight forward, as we have installed washers before. I read through the manual and got familiar with the settings. It can be alittle intimidating with all the wash cycles, and features this machine has, but after running my first load of clothes through it, I was impressed with the washer! It is quiet, and has a glass see through window, on the lid. The lid has a quiet close feature too, which is very nice! The washer itself is very well made and being made by LG makes me sure it will last for many years. The inside is a Large capacity stainless steel drum., with 2 compartments for detergent and softner, along with a seperate bleach compartment. This washer has smart technology that let's you troubleshoot any problems by connecting to the app and help diagnose code errors that appear on the LED screen. I probably won't use all the extra features this machine has, but for someone with a large family, they may come in handy. The more I use it , the more I know I am going to like it!! I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants a good quality washer and is easy to use. The energy efficiency on this is rated at $24.00 a year, which is also an added plus...

I have always had success with LG appliances and am very happy with this washing machine. The delivery was flawless with everything well packaged and no damage. Upgraded hot and cold water supply hoses were included that had right-angle connections making installation close to the wall a simple matter. The installation instructions were clear and complete. Home Depot delivery personnel were very helpful and were prepared to do the installation for me as part of the delivery but I wasn't ready for it so I did the installation myself in about 30 minutes. The wash basin is huge and can easily accommodate a King Size comforter. There are a full amount of wash cycle options to do everything between heavy bedding to delicates and everything in between and even has a speed wash cycle for quick loads of laundry. I ran a load and there was no wobbling. The washer has a True Balance feature that keeps vibration to a minimum and boy is this machine QUIET. There is a digital display that indicates how many minutes till the load is complete then it "sings" to you to indicate the wash is finished instead of the loud buzzer that other machines have. Another cool feature is the "LG Smart Diagnosis" feature. Hopefully, I will never need it, but if you download the LG ThinQ app it will run a diagnostic on the washer if you are ever having any issues. That's a nice feature and was very easy to set up. Overall, I recommend this washer - it did exactly what it was made to do.

It is highly functional as well as entertaining to watch as this model does not have an agitator. My new LG washer thinks for me but still offers me options to change cycles. The flat-glassed lid lets me monitor the cycles and when folding clothes, nothing slides off! I like being able to throw in items last minute during wash or rinse cycle as I could not do that with a front loader. Being able to let the washer air dry with lid open, as opposed to having front loader door obstruct the pathway, is wonderful and should be able to avoid those unpleasant odors of a front loader! It even has an upbeat tune to let me know when the washing is complete!

I bought this in late Sept and was concerned when I watched the agitator arm and it never spun the clothes. The only clothes being cleaned were the ones right next to the agitator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this washer and after 3 loads of laundry it broke. We successfully washed 2 loads of normal clothing but we had to wash a load of bedding and a couple towels. I did not believe this was too heavy, but it must have shifted it off balance and with it being so heavy must have broke the balance rod for the drum. We tried another load after this, to see if a lighter load would get the washer to rebalance, but it ended up flooding our laundry room... Luckily we were within the 48 window after purchasing and were able tog et a replacement. We're hoping the fist machine was just a one-off issue, but we have not tested it with a heavy load. We're not confident enough to run heavier loads, which is unfortunate because that was one of the reasons we decided to get a top-load washer. Additionally, we have hard water and because of this it has been rough on the fabrics and colors. We're having to supplement with vinegar and other products to help... not really the washer's issue, but it should be mentioned in the instructions for use.

Very disappointed with this new 5.0 cubic ft. Washer. I don’t overload machine and everything is very wrinkled. I hang up garments after washing and they are all so wrinkled. Never experienced this to this degree before. Not sure what if any options I have. So disappointed. Reviewed product reviews before purchasing.
