We are living completely off grid in the sierras my guilty pleasure is having ice...this refrigerator is very miserly in using electricity ,its quiet and good looking and keeps our food cold without strain...it is large enough so that we dont need to use a separate freezer for frozen goods...and it makes ice like a mad woman... plenty of fridge space also ...the lighting is perfect when you need it... for any price point and keeping in mind its lack of energy consumption its voluminous capacity it fits us in our unique situation wonderfully...after alot of research the next comparable refrigerator would be a sub zero or very specialized one, for many thousands more ...the only aspect for us thats unknown is longevity but hey it's an LG...who can go wrong with either a Samsung or an LG...

I love the sleek look and the gray sides. It is also very quiet and the inside is set up to utilize all available space. Love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got it 2 days ago. So far it is super quiet, looks good and has so much room. Really like the pantry door that covers the entire width of the fridge. Ice maker is smooth. Fits in nice with the kitchen. Fits in my unique space of 30 inch depth and 35 inch wide. Replaced a 20 year old fridge, hoping this one lasts as long.

We've had it 3 weeks and still haven't filled it. Huge interior, fits in the space of a smaller refrigerator, and easy to clean. Racks on the door are large enough for gallon-sized containers. Far exceeds my expectations. Had to remove the doors to fit it through one door. Switching the hinges around was only a small challenge. The middle hinge required a box-ended wrench/socket to get a good enough grip to loosen it and flip it over. The related small screw cannot go back in flipped over.

This product was what I hoped for. I can hear ice dump but otherwise it is generally very quiet. I like the clean look. It is nice that the lights do not take up any space and are bright. The door ajar alarm is amusing and I am guessing it may save my frozen foods some day from thaw. I haven't removed the protective plastic yet so I haven't truly tested the finger print resistant surface. The stainless steel surface( Color/texture) works just fine with the other ss appliances of other brands that were already in place.

Has great features, plenty of space in the fresh food compartment and freezer compartment. I would most definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a great refrigerator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for about a month. I love it. When shopping, I didn’t want a French door and and the bottom freezer fridges wouldn’t fit in my space. So, I “ settled” for this one. Once it was delivered, I couldn’t believe how much I liked it! It is spacious and I love the lights on the inside. They are so bright. I also like the shallow drawer under the middle shelf. It works greats for snacks, cheeses, and sandwich meats. In addition, the black stainless finish looks so good! Something else I wasn’t looking for, but ended up loving. I would buy this again! I’ve had no problems since I got it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is so roomy inside. The meat and cheese drawer can hold so much. Not to mention that the door shelves can hold all my condiments plus 36 cans of soda! The stainless steel exterior cleans up wonderfully with a cloth and a spritz of mineral spirits.

Love the room , lighting and no handles. Only drawback is it shows fingerprints easily.

Our freezer shelf broke after one hour of installation by a professional. We called within the hour and lg sent a replacement piece which arrived today. Well it’s the wrong shelf! I was on hold 15 minutes and then told I needed to speak to a different agent. Transferred and disconnected! With four young kids at home we don’t have time to sit on hold and need a fully useable unit! This is obviously not the correct part for any piece of our fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love my new fridge except for there's not enough light in the bottom section. I thought when I first opened it, it was super bright. Now, the top shelf has basically no light at all. I don't know if there's a light out or this is the way it's designed. I love the smart doors, even though there are times I wish they wouldn't close on their own.

Things I like are the big shelf on the fridge door that holds all the gallon jugs and soda bottles, the large cold cuts/cheese drawer is awesome and the light in the freezer is super helpfull. Things I don't like; the butter compartment isn't big enough. The freezer door does not shut on its own whereas the fridge door does. If you put large bottles on the lower fridge door shelf, like ketchup and BBQ sauce, sometimes they keep the door from closing all the way. It really needs a door alarm due to all the ways the door could open accidentally or not close properly. The fridge is so big, there isn't enough light sources inside to light up the back of the fridge when it's full of stuff. If you close the fridge door a bit hard, the freezer door opens. I have all the piping and connectors to hook up the ice maker, but I just haven't done it yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't believe people say the lighting is good. Maybe mine was missing some lights. It had two LED strips at the front side edges of the fridge compartment. Looked great in the store, but at home with food inside (not even very much food) the light was blocked and the shelves were dark. I even tried using battery-operated motion-sensor lights, but they didn't work in the cold. I also sometimes had a problem with the freezer door popping open when the fridge door was closed; one night I didn't notice it and the freezer door was ajar a half-inch in the morning with frost on the bottom edge. Despite that, I tried to get used to it because I like the sleek, easy-clean exterior, the quiet operation and the spacious layout. But the lighting was a deal-breaker for me. I returned it after 30 days to Lowe's.

Exterior Design: I really like the clean, sleek look of the hidden handles. I wish the case were also available in black instead of just gray as my kitchen is in black & stainless appliances and black granite and my smaller, replaced, refrigerator was black & stainless. Ironic Temperature Controls: I had a lot of trouble getting the refrigerator to get to the proper temperatures. Setting to the coldest temperature settings (5/5) actually made it warmer in both refrigerator and freezer. Experimentation proved that a setting of 4/4 (range 1-5) put everything in balance in my particular environment. That said, the refrigerator holds the temperatures well and consistently within the desired range. Noise: I find the refrigerator to be quiet in its operations - with the exception of of the water filling the ice maker - fairly noisy, but infrequent. Others have pointed out that dumping ice cubes is noisy; this simply can't be avoided in any freezer, but once the ice bin is over half full, the noise becomes insignificant. I find the ice maker to be the fastest of any refrigerator I've owned and the cubes are generously sized and I do like the ON/OFF switch on it. Mediocre Lighting: A very simple change of the angle of lights and a little bit of a reflector could have lit the whole refrigerator well - the designers didn't bother with this. Having a light in the freezer is nice and works well. Glass Freezer Shelf: I've had many refrigerators over the years and all of the later ones with glass shelves which are very nice. But a glass shelf in the freezer is a questionable design decision; It is no fun trying to get something loose that has frozen to the glass! The remedy is a vinyl liner over the glass to prevent this problem - I' using the Plast-O-Mat liner available at a well known HomeDepot competitor. This liner works out well on the refrigerator shelves, too, and helps in keeping them cleaner. Door Shelves: It would have been nice to have these more separated and somewhat adjustable, but, overall, they're good. The very bottom door shelf, though, is really bad. It's low, narrow, hard to get to, difficult to even see without bending way over. Value / Durability: Well, let's face it: they just don't make refrigerators like they used to and I doubt ANY new refrigerator will still be operational 15 or 20 years on. Meanwhile, the LG is probably the best rated overall by both testers and users of any of the brands and, of course, top freezer models are known to be the most trouble-free. I think this is the best refrigerator available, overall, and should hold up at least as well as anything on the market.

Needed a samller footprint for a smaller space. Stays cool. Quiet and well lit inside. Love the manual ice maker. Looks awesome in our new house and a great buy!

Bought this Freezer Top LG stainless steel from Home Depot in the last day of April and got delivered a week later. The freezer door got dented in the moving process. The moving crew were great about it. They took responsibility and ordered me a new freezer door from LG to be installed by a local service company two weeks from the delivery date. Other than the dent, the fridge was functioning OK. The motor noise varies from quite to very loud randomly. Ten days after delivery my wife noticed some rust stains on the side of the freezer door. It was hard to believe. After further inspection we found more rust on the front of both doors. I called LG. the CS guys could not believe me and suggested it could be blood form a steak or something. He told me have the service guy call LG to confirm it is really rust on a stainless steel fridge. The service guy showed up as planned with a new freezer door to replace the dented one. I told him we have a much bigger problem with this unit than the dent. He inspected the doors and said YES. That is really rust. He applied a magnet to the door. It did not stick. That is a stainless steel with rust on it. He told me it must be low quality stainless like some knives and spoons made in china that eventually will have spots of rust on them. He called LG. The CS guys said that is a first. He said if it was him he would ask for another unit all together. I said that is exactly what I want. He gave me a case number. I called Home Depot as well. I explained the problem and I gave the phone to the service guy so he can confirm what I said and what we saw. After back and forth, the appliance lady said they will replace the unit but be prepared for a long, lengthy process that might take around a month. She said she will call me in two days to update me but no calls so far. When I bought LG I never thought that I will be having problems form the first week of ownership. In addition to rust, the stainless steel is super sensitive to the touch. It does not have handles so the doors look smudged and dirty all the time. You have to clean them every time you open the doors. If the fridge is full, the lighting feels inadequate because the bulbs are only in the front and nothing in the back. It is very frustrating to pay this kind of money and have to go thru all this hassle and headache. My next unit will be either a different color or a different brand other than LG. If you can help it, stay away from this model.
