So far, so good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had this refrigerator for about a month therefore I can't attest to it's longevity or anything mechanically speaking. Aesthetically, this refrigerator is sleek and modern. I love the matte black finish, however my biggest complaint is that the kick plate and the gaskets are not black as well. The kick plate is white and the rubber door gaskets are light grey. I would have preferred a more cohesive exterior finish. Also, the wifi/app feature seems unnecessary. Overall though, I do really love this refrigerator. I hope it will last for many, many years to come.

    Best fridge for large families
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is the best! The depth of each of the shelves allows for maximum storage. The breakaway shelf gives flexibility to but extra tall items in the main storage area (I.E. 2-liters). I have no idea how I have lived without the door-in-door! This is by far the best feature. It allows for quick access to those items you use most; eggs, milk, butter, soda, condiments, etc. The freezer is huge but the layout makes it easy to see everything and the extra shelf is an added bonus and makes for a great storage for items you need to grab quickly. Lastly, the alarm that alerts you that you, or in my case the kid, has left the door open. Wish I’d bought this years ago! P.S. Forgot to mention the water and ice are fantastic.

      Love it so far
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this fridge for a few weeks but the things I love are the size, there is plenty of room and options for organizing, the size of the produce and deli drawers, the lighting is nice and bright, and the doors are magnetic and finger print resistant SS. The ice maker is small, which is fine for me, but may not work for everyone. There is an ice container in the freezer that you can fill if you need to. I am adjusting to the bottom freezer, which is harder to organize and you have to dig for things, but the great fridge makes up for this. The freezer does have good capacity and I like that it has two drawers. The area for dispensing ice and water is nice and big for filling water bottles. The doors and drawers open and close smoothly, it is very quiet, and overall feels like it is well built.

          Beautiful and functional too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first LG refrigerator and I am so impressed. It's designed with a lot of thought behind what consumers need, this is appreciated. The slim in-door ice maker is such a smart idea and gives me so much more space! Great job!

This is a beauty of a large refrigerator. I'm lucky that it just fit through my kitchen doors (the delivery men had to remove the doors which was easy) and goes well with my kitchen. It has plenty of space inside. It runs quietly, though every so often there is a mid-pitch hum that lasts a few seconds. Here are a few features: 1. It has door within a door on the right side door. This means you can grab items that you use often without opening the whole refrigerator. This keeps more of the cold in, thus saving energy. 2. The ice maker unit is on inside of the left door. It is really slim, not taking up much space. The downside it that it doesn't store much ice. Though, LG solved this problem by making the bucket removable and adding a larger bucket to the freezer where you can dump the ice and store more for parties. 3. The water and ice dispenser are on the outside of the left door. It gives you the option of ice cubes or crushed ice. The water comes out at 50F. Some people may not find this cold enough. I called LG to find out how cold it should be, but they couldn't answer. It seems to me that it should be at least 37F because that is the temperature of the refrigerator. 4. The shelves on the inside are adjustable. One shelf even slides back making a half shelf so you can store taller items on the bottom. 5. The freezer has a lot of space (no ice maker). The bottom has plenty of space and there's a slide out top drawer. 6. It has a door alarm that sounds if the doors are left open too long. 7. It is WIFI enabled so you can check on your refrigerator. It can look for any errors and make sure it's functioning well. Things to note: 1. Doors are heavy. Make sure you close them well. 2. Door within a Door needs to click shut or else it stays open. 3. Adjusting the doors to be level with each other takes some time if your floors are not perfectly level. I first adjusted the front sides of the refrigerator up and down till the unit was level. I needed to add shim under one of the back wheels so it wouldn't teeter. I wish there was an adjustment for the back wheels as well. The left door adjusts up and down while a turn of a bolt. The right door needs to have added c-shaped washers to raise it or removed to lower it. I added all 4 included washers and it was level. But a week later, I noticed that the door was lower again. The little washers were on the floor. Not sure if I didn't insert them well enough or if after opening and closing many times, they popped out. Any way, you need 2 people to insert them. Overall, I love this refrigerator.

The LG French Door Refrigerator is beautiful and functional. We upgraded from a 14 year old side by side. It took a little time to get used to storing frozen items on the bottom in the two trays but having the space up top for wide items was well worth the learning curve on the freezer. At the top of the unit are five shelves. Four of them can be adjusted between four locations and those shelves are actually split in the middle so the two on the left can be at different heights than the two on the right or the left and right can be same height creating two large shelves. In addition, one of the shelves has a slide back (folding) feature where half of the shelf slides back and under the other half creating more vertical height if needed. The fifth shelf is full width of fridge and in a fixed position. Under the fixed shelf are two large fruit and vegetable drawers. Under those is one short but full width “Glide N Serve” drawer that can be set for meat, deli or produce. At the top left of the fridge is the water filter access. The left side door contains three bins with short depth to accommodate a panel behind them for the ice maker system. The ice maker bucket is small and the ice cubes produced are also on the small side but that is the trade off for more fridge space and ice in the door. The outside of the left door houses the ice and water dispenser. There is a single lever used to dispense the ice and water. One presses a button on the panel to select cube (right), water (middle), crushed (right) and then pushes their cup against the lever to dispense. While dispensing occurs immediately when pressing the lever, changing between ice and water requires the panel to be engaged. Normally the panel goes into a sleep mode until a door is open or a button is pressed. So if the dispenser is on water and you want ice first, you have to press any button to wake up the panel then press the type of ice you want then push the cup against the lever. This is my only pain point with this unit. The right side door is a door in door system. On the handle is a button releasing the front half of the door exposing three deep shelves on the back half of the door for liquids like milk and juice. The top shelf does not have much height limiting the containers which can be stored there. On the side of the front half of the door are two small shelves for butter, etc. If you don’t use the latch on the handle, the entire door swings open. One can access the liquids shelves by pulling open a clear plastic panel on the door. Both of the doors are supposed to self close if they are left open from 30 degrees or more. Unfortunately, this is not occurring on my right side door often causing it to stay open. I also find the right side front half door requires a good push to click it shut or it too will remain open. Fortunately, the refrigerator will chime every 30 seconds when a door or drawer is left open. This has happened for us numerous times already and I am glad to have this feature. It can be annoying when you are putting groceries away. The freezer opens with a lift and pull of the handle. It appears to be one large drawer from the outside but when opened there is a large drawer on the bottom and as you continue to pull the handle toward you a smaller top drawer rolls out. The bottom drawer features a sliding divider and the top drawer has a small tray that can be used to store extra ice. The drawers have slots in the side to help cold air flow around the food items to maintain consistent freezing temperatures. The control panel displays the freezer and refrigerator temperature settings. I think it would be better if it also showed current temperature but sadly that is not an option. You can press the temperature button for both the refrigerator and the freeze to cycle through the various degree options allowed. By default the freezer is at 0 degrees and the refrigerator is at 37 degrees. The panel also has options for ice plus (extra ice generation for 24 hours), Smart Grid (integrate with your utility company to cut back on energy usage during critical time periods), Fresh Air Filter (run filter more often to remove odors), lock the panel and setup Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi feature can be used with a smartphone app to adjust the same settings that can be manually performed on the panel. In addition, it can be used to run diagnostics on the refrigerator if you are experiencing problems. If you don’t want to connect via Wi-Fi, you can install the app and hold your phone up to a part of the fridge to generate tones that the app will interpret to identify diagnostic findings. LED lighting inside the refrigerator and freezer compartments is bright and it is easy to see all of your items on the inside. Start up of the unit requires four hours to properly cool the compartments down before food can be placed inside so plan accordingly. In addition, one has to cycle 5 gallons of water through the dispenser via a process of 30 seconds dispense, 60 seconds wait, then repeat before water can be consumed. They also suggest doing this after a filter change. The ice maker startup required dumping the ice for three days before it could be consumed.

Oh what a beautiful refrigerator! This LG appliance is such a plus for any kitchen. It has so many amazing features. First off, the stainless steel is not the typical fingerprint magnet. It is smudge and fingerprint resistant. The size of this unit is a very large 27.7 cu. ft. with almost 18 cu. ft. for the fresh food. There is so much room and choices in the fresh food section to keep the food. The door in door is a new concept for me as well as most people who have never had it before. What to put there is going to take a while to see what makes the most sense of that great feature. The glass shelves are adjustable to what is needed. Could be that tall items like two liter bottles or milk gallons need taller areas than egg cartons or small containers. There are two produce bins and a bin for deli or fresh meats. On the doors are lots of places for condiments. One of the best things is the through the door ice and water dispenser. The ice can be cubed or crushed. The ice maker is in the upper left door panel. It takes up very little space in the unit. That being said, the cube bin does not hold much. It would have to be emptied into a larger bin if lots of ice was needed all at once for a party. Water dispensed is not cold enough to drink without ice, but it is nice to have it come out filtered. The water filter is easily changed as it is inside the fresh food section on the top. Much better than under the whole unit by the floor. The freezer section is down below and holds over nine cu. ft of frozen food. The door handle is something to get used to. Instead of a fixed bar to just open and close, it has a latch mechanism as part of it, so it feels like the handle is pulling off. The main drawer has lots of room for frozen foods. Then there is a full width upper drawer for more storage. This is better than just one big bin. The food at the bottom of the bin would be hard to get to without removing food on top of it, like a chest freezer. There is a door alarm that sounded a lot when I was initially deciding where to place the food. It is a good idea though, when someone forgets to shut the door. The LED lights are great as well as energy savings on this modern unit. It also has the smart technology to control with phones.

Nice Looking but Continues to Break Down
I bought several LG products 6 years ago when we built our new home. Most of them work great. However, in the 6 years I have owned the refrigerator, I have experienced multiple issues. Here is the list: April 2019 - Replaced a bad Control Board January 2023 - Replaced Compressor after it stopped working August 2023 - Replaced Icemaker because it stopped making ice August 2024 - Compressor has gone out again Fortunately I purchased an extended warranty that covered most of the issues through 2023. However, the extended warranty has expired and now I'm left with a refrigerator that has stopped working again.

Door in Door is super handy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love our LG French Door 'with access door to frequently accessed chilled items.' Love the moveability of the shelves to lower or raise them as my needs to chill change. The compressor and motor are so quiet, I have to listen closely to ensure the fridge is running. I do like the drawer storage, especially the long flat drawer for meats, etc. I have used the entire shelf to chill buffet platters- quite handy. We really love the ice making machine and self contained ice bin to prevent the ice cubes from picking up odors. Expensive, but a terrific fit for our family's needs

Hey there! It's always important to get enough ice from your ice maker during these hot summer days. We recommend checking the water filter in the refrigerator to ensure that it is not empty, as well as making sure that there is enough water pressure flowing into the unit. One of the ways you can do so is by filling at least 8 ounces of water in a cup while counting. You should get 8 ounces in 8 seconds. If your ice maker is still not producing enough ice, please feel free to reach out to us in a private message on social media with your contact details and model number at @LGUSSupport. After that, our teams will be able to look into this further with you. We hope to hear from you soon! *Josh
Compressor issues - lasted only 4 years :-(
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good size. The Refrigerator Doors are a bit wonky and they don't always latch correctly. Our original Compressor last us 4 years before it crapped out. The replacement Compressor lasted 2 years and needs to be replaced. We never use the wi-fi capabilities.

                          Great Features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] EOutstanding features were my primary considerations, and I discovered them in this refrigerator. The utilization of space was impeccable. A middle drawer for storing snacks and beverages. The easy-to-use ice maker and Wi-Fi control were the main features I was looking for, and I found them all in this LG.

Poorly made- won't last you more than a few years.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator in June 2018. It lasted all of six years before the compressor, condenser and drier broke down. I've loved this refrigerator but according to the repairman, it would take $1,500-$1,700 to repair it. So off I go to buy a new fridge - FAR sooner than I should have to - and the new one's not gonna be an LG (if I can help it).

                                  RIP LG refrigerator
I bought this in June 2018. It was great while it lasted. It just stop working on May 24,2024. After several attempts to repair it, we had no choice but to put it to rest and purchase a replacement. It only lasted 5 years. We had almost 4 weeks without a refrigerator and lost hundreds in food. Shame on LG.

Dead after 4 years. LG= Likely Garbage
Im very disappointed in this refrigerator. This was purchased back in 2019 and has completely died as of right now. The compressor went out three months into owning it which was replaced by someone from LG. Now there is an internal leak in which I had to hire someone to diagnose because it is out of warranty and it cant be fixed. I have had to pay out for diagnosing this and lost a whole fridge worth of food. Save your money and dont go with LG refrigerators

                                              Don’t buy LG
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the worst refrigerator. Bought in 2017. Never worked. Had many repairs and finally replaced in 2018. Still never kept good temps. In 2023 the compressor went out. Replaced compressor and evaporator coil and here we are a year later and out again. They will cover compressor but not labor which in our area is too expensive so will be looking for a new brand and will never buy another LG product. Looking into joining the lawsuit against them.

                                                Great Look; Okay Performance
I love the look and capacity. Don't like the performance.

                                                Looks Great BUT…
We’ve had this fridge since December 2017. Great looks. Great space. We have a 2nd freezer with an ice maker so that lack of ice produced is not an issue. Now the bad - The compressor had to be replaced in June 2022. So now it is March 2024 and the compressor is still good so fingers crossed that it lasts as long as they say it will.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our refrigerator 3 years ago. The ice maker had to be replaced very shortly after the refrigerator was delivered. The refrigerator stopped working New Years Day 2024. The freezer stopped shortly after. We lost a lot of food. Took over a month to fix
