Our New LG refrigerator…
…is absolutely awesome! We love the peekaboo door that opens without opening the fridge door, the ice maker is great, it doesn’t spit ice all over the floor like our old fridge did, it’s very quiet, keeps things either cold or frozen very well, and last but not least, the space inside that we now have feels huge, and it’s the same size fridge as we had before! We love it and would highly recommend it!

Great Features!
I have had this refrigerator for 8 months now and I have really enjoyed living with it. Besides being quiet and looking great, it has a lot of practical storage and the in-door ice/water dispenser is easy to use and keep clean. I DID have to replace the gasket on the freezer door since the original was slightly deformed causing some minor frosting on the inside of the freezer. However the customer service was very accommodating and I had a new gasket in a couple of days. I love this fridge and I can definitely recommend it.

Great fridge
Have had it a week and it's great. One quirk is right side door doesn't open all the way, which is strange that a great device would be designed that way. But it's not a big deal to me. Everything in my house is connected to wifi, so Im not a novice at connecting devices, but tried every possible way to connect this thing and it won't connect. Not sure how useful wifi would be anyway.

    Fancy glass door-in-door looks cool but stays warm
    Two years in… the fancy glass door with ‘knock for light’ looks cool and functions as just described, but maintains temps about 6 or more degrees above the rest of the fridge. Lost a few gallons of milk before we finally put a thermometer in the bottom and figured out why it went bad so fast. Fine for salad dressing and soda I guess, but a disappointment overall. Also had problems with the right hand inside wall freezing anything that touches it or is close to it. List sone produce that froze that way. . Rest of the fridge is pretty good on temps. Warranty service came today, replaced a big panel in the back… we shall see.

Also, some things are hard to fit in that area. Overall it seems nice and seems less sloppy than many fridges with the ice. Might be a little wasteful having 2 places to store ice, and would be nice if there were more adjustments that could be made to the shelves. Still, the price was reasonable enough to overlook all of that.

    I have had this French door refrigerator and freezer for a few weeks. It is easy to operate, the ice maker works well, chilled water is dispensed from the door as advertised, and, well everything seems to work as intended. One observation is that there is a large drawer that can be used for deli items, meat, or fresh produce...to use it you must open both doors of the fridge. A little awkward / inconvenient, but nothing major.

    Beware - NO CRAFT ICE in this model
    Just took delivery of the fridge, and after a few days noticed that the 2nd ice maker in the freezer compartment is making small cube ice only. Called LG to confirm and was told that model# LFXS28596S does NOT have craft ice feature. searching up the model# shows a bunch of videos with craft ice (model# not stated other than Instant-View door-in-door. Lesson learned I suppose, there are many different models that look exactly the same but have differing or missing features! We're now considering the hassle of returning the unit.

      Performs as expected - BUT
      Three design issues make this a 3 star review. 1) The "produce draw" extends the full width of the refrigerator. This requires opening Both of the outer doors of the refrigerator in order to access the draw - major design flaw - should be spilt draws for each side of the refrigerator. 2) The InstaView Door latch is poorly designed - really have to play with it to get it to unlatch - 1/2 the time when trying to use the InstView Door, the main door opens - the plastic components for the latch are unlikely to hold up over the long term 3)Interior shelf spacing - although adjustable - is not optimized for typical size items typically stored in refrigerators and door attached baskets are about an inch or two too narrow to optimize the space.4) Pictures used to market the refrigerator do not show the attached door handles which are HUGE and stick way out from the door.

      Our old refrigerator (21 years) lost its ice maker and because of age we decided to replace rather than repair. So far the LG is proving to be very convenient and meets our needs well.
