LG allows unsafe condition to exist..
Your LG LCG3011ST gas cooktop has a safety and design flaw. The plastic inserts that LG uses on the control knobs is a safety and fire hazard. The plastic inserts crack and break apart. After they crack and break a user has no idea what position the gas valve is. This is a safety and fire hazard. By the sheer number of bad reviews concerning the faulty knobs it is apparent LG does not intend to back its product until someone's home catches fire because of the condition is allowed to exist and someone gets hurt because of this safety condition that LG approves of.

Knobs are trash
Is LG doing anything about these knobs that are trash. This is not okay we have to keep spending on new knobs.

Buyer Beware-
If you buy the LG model LCG3611ST(BD) cooktop then you run the risk of getting practically no customer service from LG. They will not answer any technical question regarding installation of the unit, and will only refer you to their ambiguous installation instructions. And don't bother to contact Home Depot either as they don't install cooktops they sell. Also, if you buy this cooktop take notice LG's combustible clearance requirements at the cabinet cutout extend far beyond that of any other cooktop manufacturers. So, be sure you install it in a very wide cabinet without any cabinet drawers beside the unit. As with many other comments about this unit, the knobs are easy to break. My advice is don't buy LG. Consider other brands.

Cooktop with a great layout!
We are enjoying our new LG gas cooktop. It is a 5-burner unit with controls centered in front. This allows plenty of space for the burners and easy access to the controls. The cooktop is quite shallow and we were able to put in an additiona drawer below it (for flat utensils). The burners light quickly and burn smoothly and efficiently.

Always wanted a gas stove
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this when doing our full-gut kitchen remodel. I wanted a gas cooktop--I had been using electric cooktops for the 32 years we lived in our house. It is great! It is easy to light burners; it is easy to control the heat; and our overhead fan unit takes out any odors or gas aromas.
Unfortunately, it is not as easy to clean as my old cooktop was. There are curves and edges that require a little more effort. The stainless steel under the grates needs to be buffed to really shine, but this is just an inconvenience that I wasn't thinking of when I chose the appliance.

Very bad experience
My cooktop was not installed properly. After waiting a few weeks for installation team to come and fix the issue, they came today and said they cannot fix it. I’m beyond frustrated.

I love the cooktop!! It is easy to use and easy to clean. I wish I had a Griddle for searer for the top to cook steaks etc. Also I dont know how to take the Knobs off to clean under them. Otherwise it is AMAZING!!!

If you are actually expecting this cooktop to be black stainless you’re going to be very disappointed. I returned this unit twice after delivery because it is a black enamel finish and only the control panel is black stainless. I don’t refer to pictures when ordering online because colors are so often wrong. I always go by the color choices and descriptions. This isn’t a cheap product so truly expected to get what I thought I purchased. Went around and around with Home Depot on this matter and all it got me was a $100 credit and total disappointment. I will never purchase from this company again online.

Knobs and grates are poor quality.
I bought this when I redid my kitchen and bought a very expensive LG cook top thinking that I would get a well made product. However, the knobs are cheap plastic that keep breaking, all printing on knobs and surface of stove are wearing out and the two outside grates have warped so my pots don't sit flat. It is 6 years old.

Very good cooktop, with one exception

Great cooktop, if the knobs don't break.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cooktop cooks well. The issue is with the plastic knobs that continually break after a mere few months of use. The knobs are made of cheap plastic, and cannot hold up to the torque required to press/turn/ignite the burners.
