Manual Incomplete- LSHD3080ST
Contacted LG for further information in regards to the power unit attached to the hood. No instructions on mounting in the installation guide provided and wires are short so it is strange. This product has been out for a long time and they have no information and are clueless on this. I have seen several others with the same issue and I am disappointed that when you call the LG tech support line, they have no help. They asked for pictures to escalate but for now, I will figure it out myself.

    Two out of four damaged appliances delivered to me
    Purchased appliance package at Home Depot, they were delivered within a week and in advance of the completion of our kitchen renovation. First, let me start by saying the 48 hour return policy on appliances is only to protect the supplier (Home Depot and LG), is not customer centric. Got 2 out of 4 appliances delivered that had damage that I did not see in the 48 hour window, Home Depot and LG both saying too bad, missed the return window. Never again will I buy another LG product!!!

      beautiful range hood
      LG is a very good brand. Installation is bittle tough at the end due to the extension hood on top is hard to fit in and it needs 2 people at keadt to hold them to fit. Suction fans are very strong and if you have a big kitchen. I prefer 36 “ but i only have a small kitchen since i am living at NYC. Wifi is the only draw back if you want to make it works faster. Dont upgrade your smart phone so quick because latest version APP is not back up yet with your phone

        Nice design, poor quality
        Right on schedule, the unit failed (lost all power with no response from the touch panel) the first week of July 2024. Right outside the warranty window. LG website offers an out of warranty flat rate repair program that clearly includes range hoods. I paid the $349, worked with LG to create the work order, and had the work assigned to a service provider. Provider states they don't work on range hoods. LG then says they can't do anything for me and refunded the money. Stand by your products.

            Worst Hood Out there!
            This is by far the worst food you can buy I paid over $1100 for this food and I cannot even return it to the Home Depot and I can install it as well the wiring harness module is outside of the hood and cannot be placed anywhere therefore you can't even install it I called LG and they can't even help me their customer service for HOME DEPOT customers is nonexistent save yourself the time and money and find a hood with better ratings stay away from this one! I am now stuck with a $1100 hood that I cannot return nor can I use it this is robbery

              Control Panel keeps breaking
              Have had the fan installed for THREE months. And the control panel for the fan has broken TWICE! Fan speed goes from 2 to 5 completely bypassing speeds 3 and 4...then when it's on 5 it only runs at a 2......tried to call LG. I get a runaround. If this is going to be an ongoing problem then LG should replace it with a new one for the price I paid for it..(1,200.00). Currently trying to communicate with LG but not getting results. Don't buy this product.

                Did Not Fit
                We have a 10' tall kitchen. The installer put the unit in and he installed it over 36" from the cooktop because you do not have an extension. We are having it removed and the new unit (another brand) put in.

                Love this unit but it seems that LG has something against "White" appliances other than refrigerators. Sad, No white ovens, microwaves or hoods come in white. Stainless is getting to be dated decore...folks tend to prefer white especially in a kitchen.

                  I bought all LG products for my new house. Unfortunalety the hood has caused nothing but problems and is the last item to get installed and is holding up my closing which is beyond fustrating. The specifications clearly states Accomodates Ceilings up to 9'6". the duct covers in the package only cover up to 6 feet. Also did not come with any installment/ attachment products. I have called to get answers and cant get help or the proper information....... Extremely disappointed with this product!

                    Hood performs well as far as the fan and lights go. Unfortunately the WiFi is not very “smart” at all. The unit does not connect to google assistant/amazon Alexa. Seems a waste to connect WiFi at all if you can only use it through the clunky lg app..

                    If anything I'm just relieved to have this installed now. After a full cabinet, counter, and appliance overhaul this was one of the final pieces. I missed the chance to complete new attic ducting for before the weather was too hot so for now I have it venting through the top. Fortunately the instructions provide both inside and ducted venting options, so come fall I can swap it over. Other than that install was straightforward. Visually my wife and I think it looks great. At full tilt this thing can move some air and the volume is reasonable. It's worth addressing the "Smart Features" - I did get it setup and it works but thus far it's more of a novelty than something I find myself using frequently. I've read you can sync SmartThinQ with Amazon Echo which actually would be a nice feature but I have yet to try it. Overall we're very happy and would certainly recommend.

                    This is an updated review. I have increased my star rating from 1 to 4 after installing it myself. Having done DIY projects and all types of home renovation I decided to install it myself. The LG company provides no help to the home installer and only recommends that you have professional installation, so they will not give you any information on specs or install requirements other than what is in the installation manual. Some of the information in the manual is generic to all models of LGs range hoods and some of the info is clearly wrong. To install this close to the maximum height is virtually impossible because there is no way to extend the inner duct cover high enough to insert the duct cover screws to the duct cover bracket. To install at the higher placement, but still within their specs, you need to drill additional holes in the bracket to allow the duct cover to be secured. Additionally, the finish scratches easily. It does a very good job of venting kitchen air/ cook top vapors, etc to the outside once ducting is installed as this unit does not have recirculating capacity. Unless you are very comfortable working with rigid metal duct and doing the necessary wiring connections yourself, this is best left to a skilled trades person. It is a very nice, fashionable and modern looking unit however. The LED light has two settings, and the fan has 5 speeds which is a very useful feature. At the highest setting I could feel cool air from the air conditioned house being vented to the outside, so it does have powerful exhaust capability.

It looks fantastic and is designed with the most latest technology as this is "smart" enabled! The stainless steel is sharp and coordinates with the res tof my appliances as well. It was easy to install and was shipped quickly!
