We just had this floor installed as part of our reno and we absolutely love it. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it is soft and easy to clean. Great value for a showroom look!

That floor sucks! I’m install floor for many years but the systems it’s the worst idea than I never saw… I no recomend to install the floor you start perfect and the 10 ft later doesn match the lines broken easy it’s poor quality, I’m installs and I’ll remove 2 times because doesn’t macho the worst floor

I bought 2500 sq feet of Lifeproof Blue Ridge Herringbone. I tried to install myself. I have laid floors before with no problems. The locking system is bad. It does not click together on many planks. It separates and the locking system breaks very easily. I had to hire a professional with 16 years' experience. My foundation is slab. The contractor leveled the floor with self-leveling product He called Home Depot and the manufacturer (Halstead Intl) for help and suggestions because of problems. Halstead recommended that I file a claim. That took months and was denied. The floor continues to fail more every day. there are lifted planks all over and movement in the floor. It is worse in traffic areas and near heavy furniture. The manufacturer needs to take it off the market and redesign the locking system. almost $10,000 in material such a bad result. It is inferior. There is not one room that does not have many lifted boards/ The pictures do not show how bad it is.

We choose to use this pattern and flooring as part of the renovation process of a museum. Do your math, following directions, and the results are amazing.

The material was received in fine condition via delivery to my home. It installed as was described and expected. The material was installed in the Herringbone pattern in the great room, however we installed it in a parallel running pattern in the bath rooms. It looks great.

We've just installed this flooring in our kitchen as part of the kitchen "refresh". It wasn't as easy as "straight" flooring to put in, but my husband did not have too tough a time putting it in and I love the look.

Had this professionally installed. LOTS of hammering, definitely took longer to lay than standard plank. Effect is totally worth it. TBD on durability.

We're very happy with this product. When cutting this very thick and durable product (with padding integrated onto the back) it does fracture easily but we didn't end up using more than is accounted for with wastage. This floor is solid when settled and feels warm under foot.

I put it on the wall for Tv wall, so beautiful! Super recommend!

Beautiful and durable flooring! Run a floor dust mop over it! The dog has not been able to damage it. Very happy! An installer was hired as it is a herringbone pattern and we’re not that good as do-it-yourselfers.

We laid this flooring in a straight line rather than in the herringbone pattern. It takes a bit longer to lay than the other types of LifeProof flooring that are meant to be laid straight, but we were color matching LifeProof Toffee Wood tile, so we went with the Blue Ridge Oak. It was easy to figure out how to lay in a straight pattern (alternate between one row of grey backing and one row of black backing). Im really happy with the finished product.

This product is just stunning, as many others have pointed out there will be more waste than your usual vinyl plank flooring but it doesn't matter because the end result is worth an extra box or two. First thing, there are left and right pieces! One side has a gray bottom and the bother side has a black bottom. I started with black on the left, gray on the right. I turned the planks upside down at the top of where we were working so I wasn't constantly confused which color we were on. It will be an entire row on top of each other all black, and to the right of that row an entire gray on top of each other. They are different colors also because they have slightly different designs so you can really see the difference and create that weave pattern. Some advice that really helped us, because this can really be confusing at first, lay the pieces out a few rows without clicking them in. We messed up a couple times and couldn't use the pieces that were cut because they were left or right sides. Pick a center and start from there, we found it easier to mark the center and work our way out. You are going to want to see this gorgeous design so you want it to be a center focal point. Make sure you have a center though, this moves as you're going from one side to another. Once you have an idea of how it works it will be much easier to get the floor together, if you don't have cabinets LAY THIS BEFORE, we really wish we would have done that. It was a lot more work to cut the pieces to fit under my cabinets but it still looks gorgeous. My kitchen is still under major construction but I am OBSESSED with this flooring, it has that unique charm to it that brings warmth to a room. I now want it through my entire home! I HIGHLY recommend this, I've already had so many compliments and my sister wants me to put the same flooring all through her house! You can't go wrong. I also have an uneven floor, my house is old and it will never be perfect and this is a wonderful product with some give and flexibility. I am soooo beyond pleased, don't hesitate! Get it! :)

Very easy to install. The precision of each piece provides a tight clean fit. We installed this product in a laundry room and it came out better than expected. We did not install as herringbone pattern but chose to install ina regular pattern. I would recommend this product.

These are absolutely beautiful floors. My installer wanted to kill me- not an easy install for the novice floor layer. The result is worth the extra money though, and the fact that these are pre-cut with left and right sides makes these way better than cutting down any other vinyl floors to lay in this pattern. My only concern so far is they're somewhat easy to scratch. We've had our floors for only a few months now and I've already found a handful of scratches, most around the dining room table where the chairs pull out, so I've had to put a rug under the table to help eliminate the scratching.

We chose the Blue Ridge Oak and could not be more in love with our basement flooring. While we normally do everything ourselves, the herringbone pattern takes alot more time because of all the cuts so we did hire someone to do the install. Well worth every penny. Its beautiful and nice under foot. The only thing is, when you lay it down, you cannot pull it back up without replacing the planks because the interlocking pieces break.. so be ready when you put it down to leave it.

I would not recommend laying this flooring except in the herringbone pattern. We tried doing it horizontally as others described under the question section; could not stagger seams enough and tabs kept breaking off. Once we installed as intended-herringbone-installation was pretty easy. My husband saved all pieces that were cut off and was able to use most pieces on the outside edge of the floor-saved us lots of money-we were able to return several cases as a result! It looks beautiful! Many compliments. Love the unique herringbone pattern. Love that the floor has tones of gray and brown/tan-looks great with my white cabinets and espresso island and it doesn't seem as trendy as most grey floors are. Seems pretty durable too. My only complaints are that it's difficult to get the pieces to lock together fully under lower cabinets since you can't get a rubber mallet under the cabinet edge and you MUST HAVE A LEVEL FLOOR to install this on (it is not forgiving). We had some unevenness in our subfloor and have several areas where the planks don't lock together well as a result, which means that it moves when stepped on or is higher/lower than other planks leaving a gap.

I just had this professionally installed in my living and dining rooms in the herringbone pattern. It is a quality product that seems virtually indestructible, and it looks amazing! Because the underlayment is already attached, he was able to lay it right over our concrete slab with no prep. With pets, kids and a wheelchair, our carpet had seen better days. We have gotten a ton of compliments on the new floor. My installer had an issue at first, because this floor is designed to be backlayed, which is not how T&G boards are traditionally laid, but once he figured that out and got the center marked, it went down pretty quickly. I ordered 10%+ over for waste, but would recommend ordering 20% over as there are left and right boards that have to go a specific way to lock in. He assumed he could use the opposite ends of boards he cut, but he couldn’t on mine because of the way the pattern ended up. You can always return any unused boxes. I am very pleased with this purchase and thrilled with how the floors turned out!

I did my entire main floor about 800 square feet it was Easy to install took 3 full days and just so beautiful!

Takes little more time to install the the usual boring parallel planks, but the final result is stunning.

One beautiful floor.

I purchased this flooring for my bathroom and my husband who has been a contractor for 30 years and loves life proof flooring installed my flooring. This flooring comes in very small pieces that have to be put together. My husband followed the instructions to the T and the floor looks amazing but after a week it started making creaking and popping noises and has now started to lift. I wish I would of chosen a different life proof flooring. Very disappointed.

I've personally installed this on two of my properties. I installed well over 2500 sqft of this particular flooring. The finished product is beautiful. It's not an easy installation. You'll have more waste than a typical floor. And it will take you 3x as long to install. You need to have patience when installing this flooring. Be careful when Hiring an installer because either the installer will loose money on this job or you will end up with a poor instalation.

Absolutely love this, will be purchasing more for my other bathrooms !
