Easy to assemble, Great for Storage!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this for several years now, and it is still standing strong. After a lot of research, we went with Lifetime's plastic shed over the wood ones, because it is literally maintenance free. Assembly takes two people, but it went together well, and we have been very happy with it. Definitely recommend.

Easy to assemble & looks great
I've only had it built for a week, so it may be a bit premature to review. I had built the foundation to specs before it arrived. I had no helpers, and it took about 13 hours to assemble. Assembly was easy, and I really appreciated the Q-code as there were a couple of places where I wasn't sure how things went together from the illustrations. The corner walls were challenging. I did a rain test yesterday using a hose sprayed into the air to simulate rain. Passed with flying colors. It looks great and appears to be sturdy enough. Not sure yet where I'll put the peg hanger strips - waiting until I get all of our junk in there first. We're thinking of replacing our metal shed at our lake property with one of these or one a little larger.

The videos available for each step are extremely helpful, be sure to watch them before and during the construction process. We had a laptop on site to review each step before starting. It took about 5 hours for 2 adults and 3 teens to put together. Three people are needed for the roof construction. Most everything went together very well and appears very solid except for one roof panel that was warped. It did not fit in any location so we saved it for last. If it were easy to return just the one panel for a new one we would have done that, but instead we fought with it and finally were able to get it to stay in place. Hopefully it will remain in place and not affect the structural integrity. The door latch is virtually useless at holding the doors together, you will need something in the padlock connection.

    Solid Purchase
I did a lot of research, watched a lot of videos before starting this project and buying this item. As a non-handyman type person, I was able to educate myself, borrow some tools and build a square and level foundation on blocks. Now to the shed. It came in two large boxes that I was able to move by myself to the back yard with the help of a dolly. One of the boxes was a little beat up but no damage to the shed. I was able to do much of the initial build; i.e., doors, trusses, etc. by myself but needed to enlist the help of my son to really start putting it together. We did it over two days and about 4 hours each day. All together it took about 12 hours which included reading the entire directions a couple of times through very slowly to make sure I understood things. I believe this helped a ton!! The shed looks good, has been dry through a major thunderstorm, and have no regrets about the purchase. I am on a tight budget so this was better than pouring a cement foundation and building a wooden shed. Just as a point of clarity, I am not including the time to build the foundation, level the ground, level the frame, etc. Those things I did over a span of two weekends. I had no experience, no help and had to borrow and or buy some tools. I would definitely recommend Lifetime products from this experience. It has been two weeks and I am definitely happy.

    Excellent Shed
This is a great shed, so far. It was very easy to put together. My husband and I put it together, working on it here and there, over the weekend (we have a 2 year old). But can easily be done in a few hours. If you don't have the ability to work on it in one day, I highly recommend putting pieces together ahead of time (such as, the vents on the gables, hardware for the doors, etc). That's were a lot of time is consumed. That took us about an hour and a half (we did that the night before). Assembling the shed took about 4 hours (we did 2 hours on Saturday and 2 hours on Sunday). We absolutely loved how the hardware was organized and labeled for each section of the assembly process. I strongly advise you to print the instructions that they provide online. You will need them, along with the instruction booklet that comes with the shed. It can be a little confusing, but if you use both sets of instructions, you'll be fine. As others have stated, the color is more grayish, than the Brown/tan that is listed online.(Which was fine because that's what we were wanting). Also, like others stated, we didn't receive the battery powered light. Have to call customer support for that. Shipping was great. We were told, when we ordered, that it was going to take 3 weeks for delivery. We ended up getting it in a week and a half.

Shed not made for winter in New England
This was my 2nd summer and first winter. The shed roof caved in. Not made for New England winters. I had to pay 300,00 for a new roof from the "LifeTime" company and many hours to install. They added new trusts that are suppose to be better. To bad it is not part of the original kit. So if you do not mind shoveling off the roof every 6 " of snow then you are OK. That is probably 1 to 3 times per snow storm. The cost per year 650.00 per year.

      Lifetime 8'x10' storage shed
The shed instructions were barely adequate. Lots of details on how parts fit together were missing. The on-line videos helped but not all of the links from the instructions worked (i.e. no video - I went directly to the website and checked). Even though I went to great effort to ensure that the base platform was level and sturdy, not all of the parts lined up as called out. I was able to get the building up with limited help from a 2nd person by taking my time, reading the instructions multiple times, and reviewing the videos multiple times.

      DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
DO NOT BUY THIS SHED. I received all the parts, assembly was pretty simple, and it looks nice. My issue is with the quality. I live in Southern California (not harsh weather). Plastic shrinks and expands with the sunlight. Hence, at night it shrinks. So much so that the doors shrink past the metal flashing. Now they push past each other and water leaks in . During the day it warms up, it expands, and the doors line up perfect. My wife gave the dog a bath next to it and some water splashed on the side wall. I went inside to see this water coming up through the floor. I did my research and saw all the positive reviews, so I thought I had made a good purchase. One reviewer said he sealed it with silicone. You shouldn't have to do that with a brand new product. After a week and a half it's been taken apart and returned to Home Depot. Their customer care was EXCELLENT in returning this product. I'm getting a Tuff Shed instead. Spend a little more and do the same.

A good shed, but time consuming to install
So, on balance, I'd recommend this shed, as the finished product is very good. To the extent that it's relevant, I am a male with good DIY skills. A few things to keep in mind: 1. It comes in two very large, very heavy boxes. I arranged to be home that day and am glad I did. The freight company sent a driver, a helper and a liftgate truck (all good things!), but no dolly or hand truck for them. Between the three of us and my hand truck, we got it up a sloped driveway and out of the way. Had I not been there, I suspect they would have simply dropped them at the foot of the driveway, and it would have been difficult for me to move them by myself. 2. Make sure to build a dead level and solid foundation. Everyone says the same thing for a reason. The shed is well designed, but tolerances are tight. A solid and level foundation is the only way it's going to work. I built mine out of 4X4 skids (easier to level the 4X4s, and they are ground contact pressure-treated) and pressure-treated 2X4s and plywood. Spent about two hundred fifty bucks on lumber for this. I followed the instructions for the foundation, but added the skids for leveling. I spent an hour or so simply making sure everything was square and level, and I was starting from a fairly level patch of land. Do yourself a favor and screw it together rather than nailing, unless you have a nail gun. A good impact driver was crucial. Use good deck screws that are rated for pressure treated wood. Plastic shims are also very useful for fine touch leveling. Again, I spent a lot of time on this with a six foot level and am glad I did. Building the foundation took me about a full day. 3. When it comes to actually assembling the shed, read the instructions! They are actually excellent (a few quibbles aside). Illustrations could be better. Each bag/box of hardware is labeled. I staged everything on the site and opened/grabbed it as needed. Spent an hour or so just setting everything up. Follow the instructions exactly. 4. There is no divot that I can see for attaching the floor panels together. Simply drive the screws where shown on the illustration. 5. Some of the wall panels required a good amount of persuasion to attach to the floor panels. I got the hang of positioning the wooden block toward the end, but some of them were difficult. A very thin pry bar was useful, as was a rubber mallet. Still, I am 6'4" and quite large, and it took all my strength to get a few of them to snap in place. I had my wife help hold things together, and that went easier. Most frustrating part of the process. 6. Once the floors/walls were done, everything else went relatively smoothly. However, it would have been very hard to do the roof by myself. It wasn't difficult, just often required an extra pair of hands. With that extra pair, the roof was straightforward. 7. Lots of plastic to plastic connections involved. I used a drill/driver on a low torque setting, and finished most by hand. Some were just easier to do entirely by hand. Do not overtighten. This is time consuming, at best. 8. Thanks to the work on the foundation, the doors aligned almost perfectly and no shimming was required. 9. I also added the "extreme weather kit", (not sold at HD, but available from the manufacturer) which I installed the following weekend. I am in New England and consider this kit a "must have". It really reinforces everything, from the roof, to the walls, to the doors. Adds three hundred bucks to the cost, though. I would have preferred this kit be included with the shed. Shed is much, much more solid with this kit installed. The kit is also quite time consuming to install, though--lots of self-tapping screws and drilling new holes in both metal and plastic. Not difficult, and, again, excellent instructions, but time consuming. Let's see how it holds up to a New England winter, but I am very confident with this kit on there. So, overall, I spent three solid days on this spread over three weeekends--one on the foundation, one on the shed itself, and one on the extreme weather kit. Needed help for approx 1/2 of one day. Given that, the total effort compared to a stick built shed did not feel much different, although roofing and painting a regular shed would have added to the time. Similarly, total cost was only somewhat lower than the alternatives, but still lower. I am also hoping that maintenance will be non-existent, so total lifetime cost should be lower. Very happy with the finished product and with the instructions, but wish that the wall panel to floor process were improved, and that the extreme weather kit weren't a hefty additional charge. Hope this helps....

        Not too Shabby
The shed went up relatively quick. I found it relatively simple and straight forward. I would set aside about 3-4 hours for two people to perform the task. I would just suggest being careful when screwing it together; after all, it is only plastic. Great shed! Very pleased!

        Perfect Product
Shed was purchased to house the family Golf Cart; it is perfect. Shed was easy to assemble, directions were very clear and came with drawings. Parts were grouped and related hardware (screws, bolts, etc.) came in marked bags identified in directions. We bought the 30 inch extension to give us a little more storage room. We are very pleased with the product. It is designed and manufactured to last for a very long time.

          CHEAP QUALITY SHED
flimsy and cheap in quality, shed walls connect like legos (nothing else holding it down), roof is held doen by its own weight, screws do not secure to my standards (especially that i paid $1k for this shed), bolts snap easy ....

          Good Bang for the Buck
The result was great. The old concept of some assembly required is funny. This is a full two man days work. The one set back is the fastening system of the walls to the floor, is very frustrating. The walls don't like to slip in easily. Having done one before I knew what I was getting into. The end result is great. Something to be proud of. !!!

          OH SHED!
This SHED was a Father's Day gift for my husband. It was delivered on Tuesday, the guy put it in the backyard for easy access. The Family pitched in and began work on the SHED Thursday evening, small parts that could be done before the foundation was readied. The instructions were a little confusing, as expected from other reviewers. It was a challenge we were prepared for. ADD a rubber hammer to the needed items. you will need it to get the pole through the door, hinge side, and the door facing on the opening side. They do NOT just slide in...... ! Other than the muscle needed for that part, the rest of the SHED, flooring, walls, roof, skylights, shelving went together with little effort. The OH SHED was finished by noon on Sunday and full by Monday evening...... thinking I should have purchased the next side up. OH SHED! The foundation can be as easy or complicated at you want, that is what takes the MOST time, It really is worth the effort. Next time I will probably pour a small concrete slab just to save on time.

          Easy as pie
Follow the instructions to the letter and you should have no problems assembling the shed. I did most of the work myself and had to get some help for the roof and side walls. Make sure your floor is flat and it will go together much easier. I only got the 8x10 because I thought it would be enough for the space have. I probably should have gotten the 8x12. After it is altogether it looks real nice. I put it on a wooden frame of 1"x"6s with a 1" deck top then a 1/2" treated plywood floor. It is rock solid. The instructions say it takes around 6 hours with 3 people. I did it in 8 with a helper towards the last few hours.

            This product is great
Somewhat easy to assemble directions could be a little more detailed, I suggest reading them online before you start assembly. Walls are somewhat hard to snap in place but with a little patience can be done a 2 person job at the least. Finished product looks great ,we are very happy we purchased this building and recommend it . We had to add a bolt lock to stationary door as the top hole in steel bar was in the wrong place not a big deal but needed to keep doors closed tight.

            Room 4 Improvement
Once completed, it is a good shed. Poorly written manual. The eight roof panels each have a metal rod that "snaps" in for support. Ours refused to snap. We used duct tape to hold them in place (removing the tape after everything was done) A heavy mallet would be helpful for the wall supports that only "snap" in after a lot of pounding. Carpenters apron for all the screws would be a good idea for this project. Some hand clamps (spring-kind) would be helpful for the skylight assembly.

VERY NICE STORAGE SHED AND STURDY..
I read lots of reviews before deciding on this shed. I like the fact I could assemble without cutting and nailing together. TWO adults had no problem doing this in 3.5 hours. What helped was having the trusses and gables done night before. I cannot stress how having a level surface helps. When we got to the doors, they aligned up perfectly.. The door hardware seemed a little cheap, but will serve its purpose.. One deadbolt was nice and snug and other one was very loose.. Overall, am very pleased with this product and shippers were very nice. received product in 6 days.. would recommend to anchor down immediately.. I could push the shed around some before anchoring ,so screwed down to blocks.. 2 days later we had a storm and it stayed put (see picture)..

Very good shed and excellent instructions
This shed is well designed and easy to assemble. The instructions must have been carefully written because by viewing the pictures and reading the few written directions, it all came together without any confusion. All components of the shed are mutually supporting, so it seems very solid, fully assembled. It would be nice if it came with a few more shelves or places to hang tools. For a shed of this size, it is reasonable to assume the homeowner will have more equipment than can be accommodated by the three little shelves and few hooks.

Very nice product and nicely built. It was however hard at time to assemble since the tongues were not going in their slots easily from time to time; resulted in some of them bent and had to fix them. Instructions were detailed but hard to understand in some spots; had to take your time to make sure.

                    great quality for the price
I am a 57 year old grandmother and put this together myself with no problems. I started out by building a level platform on cinderblocks. I was very meticulous about this step. Assembling the shed was easy once I figured out what the directions were trying to say. The manual that comes with the shed was not very useful because it did not include a text explanation with the pictures. I had downloaded a better manual from the site but did not want to print out 75 pages. I read it through before I began, but needed to come into the house several times to make sure I was clear on what to do. Once I figured out how to put my weight on the side panels to make them snap together, it went very quickly. The only part where I needed three hands was for installing the front gable while holding the doors in place. Luckily, my son dropped by just as I needed him, and within 3 minutes, that step was complete. The assembly when superbly, all of the holes matched up although the side walls did need to be tapped with a rubber mallet because they were about 1/2 inch beyond the track in the flooring, Once I did that, everything was perfect. Because my platform was perfectly level, I didnt need to shim anything and the doors worked great. I was amazed at how quickly the shed was delivered, I ordered it online on monday and by friday it had arrived, just in time for a sunny weekend. I am very happy with this shed, and would highly recommend it . It even weathered Hurricane Sandy,

                    A good purchase.
Product arrived in a timely manner. Shipping company was great and confirmed delivery with phone call. I researched quite a bit before I finally bought this shed. I decided to go with Home Depot because the prices didn't vary enough to make going with an unknown company worth it. I'm pretty handy and watched a lot of videos. I knew the instructions were pictures only. If you take your time, they are understandable and complete. I did have to call the company customer service because I thought I was missing a bag of hardware. The representative was very helpful and explained that bag was packaged with one of the other bags. I chose to build a wood platform on skids before the shed arrived. I'm a middle-aged, 5'2", 145 lb woman and I put this shed together completely by myself in 2 days. If I had help, I could have done it in 1 day. I am pretty handy (a mid level diy'er). I didn't like the shelving system it came with--totally useless. I created my own. I absolutely love this shed. It looks great and it is very spacious. Hope it continues to look great over the years. Time will tell. I'm using this shed for all my tools and project supplies. My other shed (which is metal and wood that was here when I bought the house) is for the lawnmower and lawn/garden supplies. I don't think this shed can compete with a solid wood built from scratch in terms of solid sturdy strength, but for my purposes, this shed is great. Will be putting vinyl lattice around base spray painted same color as shed.

                    Overall very nice
It came in two boxes (250lbs each). We spent about a day making the foundation out of a wood frame, brackets and paver base (the third foundation option in the manual) and getting it level (we had a slight slope so that made it more challenging and took extra paver base). The next day we spent about 6.5 hours putting the shed together from opening the boxes to final completion of inside shelves. With two people some parts were still a little challenging such as putting on the front doors and gable ( a third person would have been helpful for this step). Lining up the cotter pin in the door frame was tough. Also the corner walls were a little hard to line up and snap in. But overall it went pretty well. Most of the instructions are clear but you do have to really look at the drawings closely. The shed will seem unsturdy until it comes together at the end, then it is quite solid. Also, the color on the box is different from the actual color...it is a very light gray with dark gray doors. However, outside it blends in very well with our light tan house (see pic). The window can be put on either side or in the back. We left the white plastic covering on the window pane so people can't see inside. The shelves and extras that come with it are a nice touch and the floor is nice and thick. The fake siding/fake shingles makes it look very much like a wood shed but for a much better price!

Great shed at this price, especially with free shipping
This shed was easy to assemble as long as your floor is perfectly flat. The instructions are pretty good, one or two times I had to really study them to understand what to do. There are plenty of extra screws and the wood shims are a nice touch. I put it up in under 5 hours once the floor was done. The window is a nice touch too.
